Hi what a lovely spot (and Dogs allowed on a lead) I think this was the weekend I couldn't log on the day after we found it and forgot until now. Took a penny and put in a pen. Thanks need more nice walking geocaches like this one. Went right through to the other gate lovely spot.

First cache for a long time. Found OK.
Took key ring left allen key.

Decided to try this after the CFS staging area. Gate sign has been vandalized but I think I got the right coords to goto spot 1. It was right next to the track so I guess it was OK as I have now read there is nothing left. Would be happy to replace it if you want to give me the coords you want inside I can laminate and place in a suitable container.

Thanks

Found at around 2.30. Met Wesleys Mum once quite a tradgic story he was shot by a high powered rifle whilst out with some friends they never found out who did it.

I make the distance perfect and perhaps 10% error on the angle but its fairly close. Your right nib a compass would be better in these situations I reset the trip once we found it and walked to it from the post to check the coord's and distance seems OK.

Took Mask
Left Reflector

Mrs Pike and Captn Mainwaring were away with out the rest of the Platoon this weekend. Found this cache on Sunday and left Miss Trouble TB here to complete her travels. We tried to find Clems Victoria view as well but nearly got the butchers van bogged. And felt that we were on aborigional land need more directions to find it properly took koala
left tape

Found at 3.30 I love this mountain goat stuff left Mrs Pike at the track took Mascot, Pikey and Fraser with me. If you look West just before you hit the cache you'll see the remains of a Wild bee hive. Probably left in the fires last year. Also to keep the info correct its subtract the Chapter from your south coords and Add the verse to the East coord (the book is a persons name can't minus that). Took lanyard left Packet of Self tappers.

We also came in from the Church track side of the river and kept going until we found the crossing. Did look at an old tree about half way lying across the river but changed our minds, was there around 4.30 Took the spoon and left a frog and some sample packets. These are the type of cache I like nice walk in the bush thanks.

For some reason my notes had me looking in the wrong place. When I did find the cache I thought that I had found a second one hidden at this spot as the name I had written down on my piece of paper was actually the hint not the cache name. Filled in the very neat log list and replaced.Removed some litter from around the park and then had the packed cold pizza and thermos coffee, lovely.

Forgot to mention that we took the travel bug now I need to work out what I have to do with it. Don't worry will send her on her way soon. Captn M

Left the Platoon vehicle at the road and walked up, this was no. 3 for the day beautiful spot if it hadn't been so cold and windy would have gone for a walk up the hill. Here's a suggestion if you start here you may be able to walk over the top to Lofty 1. Would be quite a hike. Filled in log. I like B&B's caches

Took Car Left Sample and electrical gland (hey you may have a use for it)

1.10PM Didn't even know that this board walk existed. Made one mistake we stopped at the school and found the gate locked so shimmied around it. The real entrance is 100m up the hill near the farm house. Cache was where I expected but I spent a lot of time looking, its funny how once you find these things you cant see how you over looked them for 10mins. Filled in log

Took Frog left nice little D shackle

This was no. 4 for the saturday out. Left the platoon at the bottom in the butchers van they said it was too cold and windy. I was realy puffing by the time I got to the top and I wished I had bought the normal compass to do the bearing as I am still not sure of all the functions on my GPS. Worked it out and found the cache filled in the log

Thanks for a great view

Had a go at around 16:00 but gave up after about 15mins some muggle kids were wondering what we were up to (platoon manuveres)This is a good one B&B the PGS kept dropping out and the accuracy is a bit poor in there. Will try again soon. Did manage to pick up some rubbish and fire wood and had thermos with campfire back at the carpark.

Found at 16.45 Lovely little town next time we'll walk a little further
Took A Bell Left Phone adaptor

This is only the second cache we have ever found so this was great Capt'n Mainwaring found this one (he understands clues) The team mascot did end up knee deep in the puddle that is meant to be the track. We stopped when the GPS said we were 300 meters from the cache and walked around to find it it was great. Realy enjoying this.

Took Stickers left Avon Sample

Found at 14:50 Mrs Pike got a bit scratched up in the undergrowth. This is what I expect a geo cache to be....here are the coord's but now where is it hidden! Thanks Barry and Beryl really enjoyed this one.

Took Popper and Balloon Left Monsters inc toy and Mighty bean

Found at 17:00 Just retrieved the cache when we had a drive by had to quickly stuff it in the jacket and pretend to be looking at some trees. Young Pike and Wilson were worn out so didn't even leave the butchers truck. Another top spot by B and B picked up a bit of rubbish to do our bit and headed for home this was the end of our first official caching expedition had a great day.

Took Spirit level Left Air line fitting

Got to the right spot this Time thanks to Mike's (bridge to willunga) help we didn't find the bridge cache as I didn't have the datum set to WGS84, all good now Mike. Young Godfrey found the bucket (eyes like an eagle) the rest of us looked on.

Hello All
The Platoon tried to find this our first attempt at Caching on the 4/3 but did not succeed. Went to the exact location the GPS was telling us but that was off the path and the instructions say you don't have to leave the path. I am using a loan 8 satelite GPS which is probably not as acurate as the newer 12's could the next person who finds this cache tell me if I am way out I was approx 60m north of the bridge on the dirt track no visable hiding positions (we started looking for buried treasure). We looked all over the bridge as well and also another object on the sealed track. HELP.... Captain Mainwaring is leading the troop up the garden path again....
