I had another engagement and could only make it to the last hlf hour of the event. Plenty of people still there and some nice chats with some food and a drink. Unfortunately I missed the information session. It was great to see everyone. Thank you GeoWoodstockXXI-Kittykatch for putting this event on and organizing it all.

Quick find along the road from the dam on the way back I had some time for the just one more game. Mostly pleasent and quick finds, but a couple where tricky and took a little while to spot. All in good order here. A nice and beautiful drive indeed. The afternoon: Having to go back to Corin Resourt to pick up some items we had left behind a few weeks back, I took the opportunity to do some more caching at the end of Corin Road, that I had eyed off ever since we moved back here. We were last here with the small kids in Oct 2011 doing some caches closer to the road but leaving the walk down to the Core be. Lots of new caches at the dam since then and the old caches at the bottom still waiting. Two wonderful walks, one was an hour, 2km, to the Crown and Trig and another down to the bottom and then up to Basil for another good hour and 3km (and some higher heart rates indeed) Thank you ALL7 for putting the cache out and maintaining it and in doing so contributing to this awesome hobby of ours.

Many option here, spend a few minites searching my GZ before I looked around a bit more and luckily it was visible without moving rocks. Once I got to the dam I was first off to the Trig and Crown cache with others along the way. This was the first find here and a quick one. Funky object to spot here. Once I got to the dam I was first off to the Trig and Crown cache with others along the way. Yes not much left, compared to the old listing Photo, but enough for a nice cache hide for sure. Finally the hide down to the old 2003 cache at the Core which we had wisely skipped 13 years ago with the kids. The new mulit here was a nice addition as well, althogh I did find it a bit trickier than some of the other COs mulities, I guess it deserves its D3 so to speak. I had to guestimate A and had a couple options for C and D, all good at WP2 though and with the checksums and corrected guess for A I had a feasible GZ first try. Just wasn't 100% sure till I got to GZ and indeed found it. A good logical spot and fun how it all worked out just fine. Finally the hide down to the old 2003 cache at the Core which we had wisely skipped 13 years ago with the kids (and I was worried that I would never find the cache in time if I had gone - in fact I sort of remember this as a trauma over the years seeing all the rocks thinking this would be impossible.) After collecting the info for the multi, it was finally time to search for this one. I looked at the hint and was so relived to see a very detailed one, this could be doable I thought. And indeed with the hint a quick find. Now I am glad I waited for this new container to be placed with a nice hint and did not attempt this with the family waiting on top all those years back. The impressive view from down here, the nice container and placemanet, the trauma form all those years, and a nice old find make this a very memorable cache and a FAVpoint of mine. Once I got to the dam I was first off to the Trig and Crown cache with others along the way. This cache was a real highlight. With a short bushbashing adventure which was not as bad as thought given Fitzies Cache. Indeed it was quite fine, without much trouble at all. A gorgeous crest at the end with a Trig as a bonus, just the views where a bit overgrown. Swapped the PT for mine and this is definatly a FAVpoint, I had an awesome time doing this one. Thanks for the recent maintance TE. Next stop was this familar lookout where I have found the old cache with the family 13 years ago!Good to have a new one in such a cool spot and much nicer placed than the old one too. The kids would have been able to find it back in the day, then again no swapsies.... can't have it all.
