Logs for MummyFraggle

Our last cache of the day and it took us a little while. We were just running out of places to look and about to call it a day when Daddy Fraggle came up trumps. TFTC
Decided to collect a few caches while driving back to Auckland from a lovely day at Piha. Drove past GZ so had to back track a little. Daddy Fraggle went to locate the cache while i remained in the car with the sleeping Faggle children. When he return he said the it was a great cache so off i set to locate it myself - was very unexpected but totally brilliant - a favorite point from me. TFTC
Got to the beach early so luckily had the rock to myself. Cache was quickly found so i took a bit of time to enjoy the view - TFTC
Found on the way to the beach. Pulled in to the layby to enjoy the view and thinking that it may be a suitable hiding place for a cache asked Daddy Fraggle to turn the GPS on - my intuition was correct as we were already within a few feet. Cache was quickly located though we had to return to GZ a few hours later to collect Teddy who had been discarded in Baby Fraggles excitment over the bucket and spade which was in the car boot. TFTC
I really wanted to walk to the waterfall after having the morning at the beach. Having parked the car, Daddy Fraggle turned on the GPS and saw that we were close to the cache - an added bonus. Cache was quickly found while Baby Fraggle had fun playing around GZ. TFTC
As we didn't have our off road buggy we decided to take Fragglette in her sling. We walked to the waterfall and then to the cache. As daddy fraggle said - ths way round suited us best. Although the other route was probably more direct, i don't think i would have enjoyed walking up the steps carrying the extra weight. TFTC

A quick find while enjoying the views. This is the sort of cache that makes me love caching - we decided to pick up some caches while holidaying (well visiting the in-laws) and would never have come here otherwise and it is a really beautiful spot. I enjoyed the views and Baby Fraggle loved playing in the park. TFTC
A quick find despite Baby Fraggle being a little bit naughty - he wanted to go for a swim. Even so he does provide great cover when there are muggles around. TFTC
Sadly a DNF for us. This appears to be a tough hide and we weren't helped by the fact that Baby Fraggle was being a little monkey as he wanted to go swimming and the GPS reception wasn't great.
Having picked up a few caches in the area, we thought that it would be a pity not to collect this one. We decided that it would be too far for a naughty (and tired) Baby Fraggle to walk to the cache and then back to the car so he and Daddy Fraggle walked and i return to the car with Fragglette and drove to GZ. Daddy and Baby had already replaced the cache so i was able to look for it myself and it was quickly located. When in the car Baby Fraggle said "where's teddy." An all to familar panic set in as we franticly return to earlier cache sites to look for teddy only for Daddy Fraggle to locate said teddy in his pocket. TFTC
10-Jan-12
This was a find for Baby Fraggle who located the cache totally by himself. Luckily there weren't too many muggles in the vicinity but the children really provide good caching cover. TFTC
Sadly a DNF for us. Felt we had a good look but our caching mojo let us down and we were slighly hampered by the fact that Baby Fraggle was desperate to go to the park.

Daddy Fraggle was sent in to locate this cache while i was looking after the rest of the Fraggle clan - having Fragglette in the sling does sometimes hinder my ability. Great container. TFTC
We had a pleasant walk up after completing the ToiToi Street multi. I enjoyed the views while Daddy Fraggle had a look for the cache without success. A quick swap over with Daddy Fraggle taking charge of the children i had a quick look. Not normally one to reach into places where bugs and spiders my reside i was proud of myself (and my bravery) when i not only spotted by also retrieved the cache. A great hide, stunning location and a favorite point from me - TFTC
A quick find for Baby and Daddy Fraggle while i was providing lunch for the mozzies. TFTC
As Daddy Fraggle said, we picked up the first part of the multi on the 7th but decided to delay the walk up Toi Toi street when we didn't have the buggy. Got to GZ and the cache was soon in hand - it is always more of a relief will multis as you can never be certain you have the correct co-ordinates until you locate the cache. TFTC and the exercise.
Doing a few cache and dashes on the way back after a family party. Daddy Fraggle initally went out in the increasingly wet weather but came back empty handed - i think that he just wanted to make sure that i got wet too! Cache was located pretty quickly, log side and we were on our way albeit a little soggy. TFTC

Visiting Daddy Fraggles family and decided to take advantage of the nice weather and pick up a few Nelson caches. We didn't take the easy route - we went the round about road route with me pushing Fragglette in the buggy and Baby Fraggle on Daddy Fraggles shoulders. After a quick play in the park we headed to look for the cache. It took us a long time - our gps was a little help and the hint didn't assist us. We were just about to give up when i spotted the cache - TFTC and after the walk i felt justified in having an ice-cream.

As Daddy Fraggle said a nice quick find heading back to where we were staying after visiting Mt Ablert. We had a little picnic on the benches, walked and grabbed the cache and then took Baby Fraggle to the park. A lovely spot . TFTC
A quick find for me and Baby Fraggle while Daddy Fraggle was with Fragglette. TFTC
This was a lovely and very enjoyable multi and a real Fraggle Team effort. I located the cache but wasn't too keen to reach and get the cache so sent the braver Daddy Fraggle to retrieve. TFTC

Out for a walk while staying in the area. Weather was lovely when we set off but it was raining by the time we got to GZ. Had a bit of difficulty with GPS accuracy but after a little search, Daddy and Baby Fraggle found the prize. TFTC
Sadly a DNF for us today. Didn't spend too long a GZ though as weather took a turn for the worse so will blame that for our lack of success

As Daddy Fraggle said - we all enjoyed the walk from where we were staying. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely little spot. TFTC
The trouble with logging finds after Daddy Fraggle is that there is nothing really left for me to say other than TFTC
Even with the hint this took us a little while to find - i blame it on the jet lag. Our first cache in NZ. Many thanks from England
