Logs for Willow Wisps

Visiting the daughter and son-in-law in Buderim from the UK and they took us up for a wine tasting. Loved the Flame Hill winery and thought it would be rude not to go for this one. The family were uncomfortable with where we were scrambling but impressed when we found what we were looking for! Thanks, this is in a gorgeous spot (not that the wine influenced us at all - hic)!

Visiting daughter and son-in-law in Buderim, we took a walk along the beach in glorious sunshine! Fabulous. The family are used to our going off-piste to check geocaches and gamely helped us find this one. We had to wait a while as there were lots of muggles about but finally, it was ours. TFTC from UK!

Stayed overnight here and enjoyed a warm swim in the evening sun. Quick find and sign as 'WW'. Thanks for this one on the shores of Taupo.

Headed for Tongariro for some hiking in LOTR country. A quick find and sign. TFTC

e were coming up north from Wellington and stopped off here for a break. Lovely spot and many thanks for the smiley here.

A quick find here, thanks for the geocache.

Nearly didn't get this one, we were looking above, not below. Eventually the penny dropped and we were able to locate it. Thanks for this one.

Drove along this lovely road on our way from Westport to Blenheim. Surprised by the lack of much population! Signed as 'WW' and replaced as found. Thanks for this.

Loved this sign, which we spotted on our way into town. When we realised there's a cache here, we had to stop for it on our way back out. Busy place, but easy find. Signed as 'WW' and replaced as found. TFTC

Drove through here and stopped off for a quick find. TFTC

Driving up the west coast of South Island from Franz Josef to Westport, we really enjoyed stopping off here to admire the formations. Thank you for placing this here in such an interesting and well-maintained place, worth a fave point. Answers emailed.

Goodness, that's big! Does it count as one of the Aussie bigs? Thank you.

Lovely to see this bit of Scott's history as we live nearby to the village of Binton in the UK, where the church has a whole stained-glass window dedicated to Scott since his iwfe was the sister of the local vicar. Everywhere was full of people today but we managed the find, thank you.

On a grey rainy morning, on our way from Milford Sound to Queenstown, we stopped off here for a bit of geocaching, but it proved more difficult than anticipated. Found it in the end but got wet for our troubles. TFTC

Stopped here for a leg stretch after cruising Milford Sound. Awestruck by the beauty of Fiordland and really pleased to find this one. TFTC from UK

25-Feb-19
We came through Te Anau on our way from Lumsden to Te Anau Downs, before taking a Milford Sound cruise tomorrow. We loved the lakeside walk, very pleasant as the warmth of the sun strengthened and tried to take in as much of the beauty of the scenery as we could. We've sent our answers, hope they're OK? Thank you for placing this earthcache here in such a spectacular spot.

Whizzed past this one, then managed to park up in a convenient side road and walked back. Quite an easy find, thank you.

Lovely part of NZ, so glad we came here to view the petrified forest. Clear, sunny day but really cold, the wind was bitter. Thanks for this one, answer sent.

A very windy day when we visited Waipapa, but we enjoyed a great walk around, reading all the signs, saddened to learn of the demise of these passengers. Thank you for thoughtfully placing this cache here.

We agree with the previous cachers: this cache is very wet and not very nice - just sorry we didn't have any dry replacement logs with us.

23-Feb-19
We were staying near here at Rosemary Retreat so it would have been rude not to look for this one. It is very soggy and a bit of a mess so we didn't sign the log and we didn't have a dry supply of logs with us, sorry.

Well, here we are and how beautiful it all is. \got here mid-afternoon, in lovely sunshine. Easy find, tftc

Bit of a blustery day but a pleasant walk along to the lighthouse. Lot of muggles but maybe some geo cachers too? TFTC

Staying at Surat Bay Lodge and walked along the beach for this one. beautiful location, tftc.

A quick find, but we had to wait for several muggles to go past while admiring the view! TFTC

Stopped for a break in Timaru on our journey from Akaroa to Oamaru. Timaru was not at all what we expected, but we detoured a little to find this one. Not quite at the co-ords, but we persevered! TFTC

Enjoyed our stroll along here after hours in the car from Akaroa to Oamaru. Lots of people around, so we investigated the Steampunk exhibit and walked along the jetty then doubled back for this one. TFTC

There was great excitement on the part of Mr WW on coming through St Andrews, and passing the golf course to boot. Pretty little church, well worth a stop here and a quick find, thank you.

On our way out of Akaroa towards Timaru and Oamaru. Stopped at the top for this one but had to hang around to avoid being muggled. TFTC

16-Feb-19
We took a river cruise aboard the Captain Proud, amid glorious sunshine, but before embarking, cast around for this one. It took a while, but it was eventually found. TFTC

Visiting KV with family, we immediately noticed this striking building. We did try to have a coffee here but the system for queueing and being organised was totally shot so we moved on elsewhere. A bit grossed out by the container and the family we were wiith couldn't believe we'd actually put our hands where they needed to go, but hey, we're geocachers. Thank you for the geocache.

We loved the old building and the history but the log was so wet - have posted a photo to the CO. Thanks for place=ing a cache here, but it seriously needs some maintenance.

27-Mar-16
We took a long trek round and naughtily disregarded the red signs saying no access to Mackerel. We didn't go all the way down but made it to GZ. Lovely views, signed as 'WW', replaced and turned round to continue our hike back to the West Head lookout point. A lovely location, only sorry we're all out of fave points for this one. TFTC

After a day's hiking round West Head, we ventured to Watson's Bay and South Head, to be rewarded with plenty of history and some great views, and even better, no rain as forecast! Lots of muggles around but no problem posing here for photo opps. A quick search and all was well. Signed as 'WW', replaced as found. Thanks for this location.

A grey, humid Good Friday after yesterday's gorgeous sun but we spent some lovely time on Fort Denison. We arrived there just in time for the cannon, which pleased everyone in the party (son-in-law the most, see photo). Great to get a smiley in Sydney Harbour; we've fallen in love with Sydney and can understand why the daughter and son-in-law emigrated here a year ago and plan to stay. More trips to Oz for us! Thank you for this virtual cache in a very interesting place.

24-Mar-16
Enjoyed a lovely walk round North Head after escaping the awful crowds down at the beach. A muggle sitting on a bench fortuitously decided to move on just as we approached so we had free rein for casting about. Loved the location and views, and an easy find. Signed the log, replaced as found and moved on for a wonderful day's walking. Thank you for placing this cache here.

We walked from Manly wharf up and around to the North Head circuit and the Fairfax walk, then back to pick up the ferry. It was gorgeous and sunny (we're from the UK) and the views, flora and fauna were fabulous. We saw water dragons, what we think was a bandicoot - yes, in the middle of the day, we don't know who was more surprised, it or us, lots of colourful and noisy birds, and some very loud frogs at a little water hole up on the top. We ate a tasty luch at Bellavista at North Fort and toiled on in some amazing heat to rejoin the ferry. Thank you for placing an earth cache in such a beautiful spot, it's a place we will always remember. Definitely worth our one remaining fave point!

Staying in Mosman for a week from the UK and took a gorgeous walk this morning around Cremorne Point. The views of the city and harbour are stunning but we especially enjoyed sitting in this quiet spot (though it was very windy!). Good job Mr WW has long legs and arms so the cache was soon in hand. We loved the little log books - where did you get them, they're ideal? Thanks for bringing us here.

Staying in Mosman from the UK and took a morning stroll round Cremorne Point. As we approached GZ, there were suddenly lots of elderly female muggles out for a stroll with their dogs so we paused to admire the view from the bridge, at which point one of them told us to watch out for leeches! Once they'd gone, we homed in for the cache, did the business, signed 'WW' and replaced as found - only for Mr WW to discover he had an armful of leeches! Oh well, he's dusted off now. Thanks for the cache.

Near the end of a gruelling walk down Wentworth Falls and along the National Pass track, little legs found the steps up the side of the Empress Falls really hard, so glad to stop at this point, enjoy the magnificent view and find this cache - what a whopper! Really busy with muggles but they weren't too interested in a couple of seniors sitting down for a rest Wink Signed as 'WW' and replaced as found. A favourite point for his old ammo can and lovely location. Tnaks for setting it up.

Came to this amazing park with the brother and his wife while staying in Adelaide. Unfortunately the weather last week wasn't too great - we're sure the rocks look even more remarkable with the sun illuminating the orange. Thank you for sharing this cache and location with us, so happy to have a smiley on KI!

07-Mar-16
Out for a wet and windy walk round Granite Island - lovely views, fantastic rocks and scenery. An easy find with not too many people about (although we narrowly escaped being spotted mid-cache by a large school party). What a whopper! Signed 'WW' , dated and replaced as found. Many thanks, wonderful location.

Enjoying a walk today from Bondi to Congee in wonderful sunshine. Loved the rock formations all along here and stopped off to find this one but it's very wet and a bit disgusting so we did not sign the log but took photos, which we are sending to the CO. A great place for a cache but it looks like it needs a bit of work. Thank you.

We drive by here all the time between Hants and Warwicks, visiting a sick relative so today we decided to take advantage of the still nice weather to stop off here. A quick find, surprised by the size of the container. Signed 'WW' to save space and time. TFTC
