Logs for Wonderboy and Wife

25-Jan-10
2nd find of four tonight!!
Wonderboy armed with a GPS got lost in the woods, had ants run on him and got a spiders cobweb in his eyes, while the wife inspected trees!
Eventually found it after the GPS went nuts, sending us in all directions!! good fun though and thats what Geocaching is all about!

Wonderboy led the way followed closely by the wife. Found the cache very quickly......and then had to leave it very quickly as a local muggle wondered what we were doing. Apparently see has seen lots of people heading for this area, so I advise discretion. Of course I told her to check out Geocaching.com to find the answers she seeks and I managed to hide the cache before anyone could see that it was there.

Last of four caches tonight. This is a great idea! loved it, but alass....some where along the way, I think we got a number wrong, as our final destination took us all the way behind the CFS station with no sign of a cache and the clues did not tie in. Plus it was getting very dark. Wonderboy and wife will return!!! (In the light!!)

Found by the tall WONDERBOY with help from the wife and brother in-law. We also met AllChin on location for the first time!! Good to meet you folks!
Great cache.

What a great little hidden area. I live locally and had no idea this place exsisted! Thanks for taking us there!!!
Just before we went out to look for this one, the wife and I went to the dentist in Victor. I went hunting for this with a numb mouth after I required a filling!!!
Found by the wife after a short search during a nice warm Monday afternoon.

Hi Guys,
Cache is temporarily unavalible. To access this cache before, you had to cross the river, but due to heavy rainfall's the river is no longer safe to cross, so I am going to relocate this cache in the same immidiate area, but at a safer hide location which is more accessible. Will be back soon with updated cooridnates Smile

Wonderboy went on a night mission to find this one to avoid muggle activity. Apparently it was too cold for the wife to come!

The clock struck 10pm for a quick and easy find. Just watch out for big spiders that may be hiding close to GZ coz one scared the absoulote **** outta me!!!!

Had to wait in the car for a Muggle family before we could look for this one, which was only 15m away at the time. Muggle family's dog jumped on my car while we waited!!! (cheeky critter) and then the family said sorry and moved along.

This was a Wonderboy find as the wife was working today. Working on Easter sucks! Anyways, I set out the hard way to find this one and walked the beach! Lots of people out in their 4x4's today.

It took me an hour to reach GZ after a 5km walk. This cache is great!

Muggles right at GZ. I waited for them to leave, but they then sat down and started chatting. Dam! I will be back for this one.

Got to GZ and did not even attempt to look for the cache. Way too many Muggles around. I will be back for this one at a weird hour.
Wonderboy.

To find this cache, I had to overcome 2 obstacles.

1) The local undergrouth....I took the hard route and emerged with prickles in my arms and twigs in my hair!

2) The big black spider guarding the cache at GZ. This thing was so big, you could see its face!

After overcoming both of them, I found the cache and was happy! Found by Wonderboy as the wife was working!!

Note to Geo Cachers: Drive slow as there is a big dip in the dirt road on the way to GZ. This dip is blind on the way back, so be very careful. I almost totalled my suspension as I did not see it!

Wonderboy and Wife took to the water today. This was going to be our first find of 3 along this water route. After Kayaking down from Hindmarsh Island, we stopped here for lunch and then had a search for the cache. No sign of it. I did have a few problems entering the UTM into my GPS though. My GPS kept changing the last digit of the first line from 6 to 5. weird!

Anyways, combed the area with no luck, and I am pretty sure I was in the right spot as the clue added up and also the nearby facilities. I will be back to find this one in the future.

We still had a great day on the water! Smile

Wonderboy and Wife took to the water today in their Kayak's! Pirates of the Coorong! (Wonderboy wore his skull and crossbones bandanna to mark the occasion)

This was going to be cache 3 of 3 today. We paddled over from Hindmarsh Island and hit the beach on the river side. Unfortunatly, we had to abanden our search even before we got close to GZ, as the weather changed on us and the rain came in. We decided to paddle back across to H.I. before conditions got too bad. River current was also a bit deadly.
We will be back though Smile

This was a Wonderboy find as the wife was working today. Bit creepy this place...I was thinking to myself at GZ, how many unmarked graves did I just walk across to get here?!?! Scary thought!

Cache was a bit exposed, so I cammo'ed it up a bit.

Great view from here! I got a splinter trying to get this one and as I type this, the splinter is still in my finger which is throbbing!! Ow ow ow!

The wife was working today, so this was a Wonderboy find!! There were a few muggles around parked in a car, so I just pretended to wee in the bush and they soon went! Ha ha ha!! I love it when a plan falls into place!

Quick find by Wonderboy as the wife was at work! Lots of Lifeguards around and the rescue helicopter patrolling the coastline, even though I could see no one in the water. Training excercise maybe.

The cache was exposed and in the open. After a check, eveything seemed to be in order. I returned it to its original location (easy to tell where the original hide was) and added a bit of cammo using the natrual surroundings.

Found by the wife while Wonderboy sat on a rock as lookout!! (Lots of Muggles around!). Find 3 of 3 today! and thanks to stealthy actions by the Wife, we were not seen. This spot kind of reminded me of my home coastline in Cornwall, UK.
