We found the spot where it would have been but like the other geos think it has gone . We had heaps of stuff with us so we decided to reset it. The clue is the same but the co-ordinates are different S29' 47.037 E153' 17.690. Hope thats ok.

Nice easy find the road is really bad . There was a huge dust storm that had been going for a couple of days so the view was limitted but it was still a nice walk. Due to the dust storm there is 1000s of bush flys so don't go with out spray. The goekids had a great swim out of the wind as it is quite protected at Bear bay. TFTC
There was a big dust storm so we couldn't see much but it was nice to be out of the wind for some of the day. We woke up today to hear that the forest is on fire and Broomshead is under threat. so am not sure how safe the cashe will be.
Poor wooli it has had huge bush fires over the last couple of weeks but the cashe remains intact. The youngest geokid found this one. There was a huge dust storm so the view was limited . the cliffs opposite the cashe have had major erosion due to floods and big seas but are fantastic to see.The news this morning is that the state forest near Wooli is on fire so it looks like there will be more smoke and dust today.TFTC Dropped off sea explorer as I carn't see us getting any further south for a while.

We went back as we are sure the co-ords we worked out are correct but after 2 hrs still no luck. How nearby is nearby?
16-Sep-09
This one was quite hard to find as it was not at the co-ords but in the bushes nearby . The lid was off and the log was wet so we dried it off and put it back . TFTC great view.
We spent a long time looking for this but no luck .After going home and thinking some more we think we have got it.Will try again soon. The engine at the site was the first engine at the Ashby saw mill. The steam whistle was originally off one of the cane barges that transported cane from the Tweed river and was the whistle that was at the Harwood sugar mill for a lot of years.

Found it with help from the Don when he was up here. The cache was very wet with lots of sand in it. Cleaned it out as best we could however could not write in log as it was too wet and didnt have time to dry it out.
Great views .Have lived in the area all my life but never take the time to sit and watch the ocean.
