Greetings from the UK. While we were here we learned that there was a train coming soon so we hot footed back to viaduct to take pictures as it crossed the bridge. GPS was a bit wayward but the clue helped.

Greetings from the UK. Staying in Wanaka for a few days and while mrs m and her friend cheered on the poms in the Wanaka challenge I slipped off and found this neat little cache with a bit of help from a librarian. Helped me realise that R796 did not mean R796!!!

Greetings from the UK - The gps was a bit all over the spot and we were struggling a bit with the clue until a friendly water taxi pilot pointed out where he had seen other people looking. So we looked and found it. We are coming back to Picton so we will drop off some trackables.

Greetings from the UK. When life gives you lemons...... make lemonade. So we arrived at 1.00 in good time for the 2.45 ferry only to be told that the time table had changed last October and we had been moved to the 1.00 ferry. A pity no one told us. Of course we were too late and the earliest ferry we could get was the 8.30 ferry. The lemonade being we had an extra 6 hours in Wellington (Pictons loss) and we could experience this magnificent vista (and get a bonus cache).

Greeting from the UK. Had a morning to spend in Wellington before getting the ferry to Picton. Found this cache while mrs m meandered along the waterfront.

Greetings from the UK. Bonus find as we stopped here so mrs m could meet up with an old school friend who moved to NZ 17 years ago. As they jaw jaw jawed I popped off and got this one. An easy find but had to wait ages to return cache as there were thousands of kids at the GZ. Another bonus was the kite festival.

A couple of brits touring NZ. Our 4th day in NZ. Nipped out to get this one while mrs m had a rest (jet lag). Dropped tb as it wants to travel the world

4th day of our NZ mega road trip. Based at Waihi Beach an early tide meant a 6.00 a.m. start. Pitched up at the beach with our hired spades (it is amazing how many people wanted to use our spades until I started charging rental) anyhow I let the girls do the digging while I took the photos. Then disaster as a dog ate my thermometer and a seagull flew off with my bucket so I could not answer the questions. However we came up with some educated guesses which have been sent to the CO. Unfortunately after all that hard work our pool (like many others) was stone cold. It appears that there is a small and finite area where the water heats up. All those wasted spad hires. We eventually managed to wedge our way in someone elses pool and burnt our bums.
