Logs for mc_sarah

14-May-24
What a beautiful walk and place to sit and rest at the end. Kids enjoyed this walk and find. TFTC

We loved the unique hide here. TFTC

13-May-24
Excited to find a travel bug here! TFTC with a wonderful view of the pound.

Beautiful day for hiking in the pound and geocaching. TFTC

12-May-24
Took me a minute to psych myself up to go in and get the cache TFTC

11-May-24
Cant drive up here now, but the views were worth the walk. Walked off the lovely picnic we had at the dam. TFTC

Nice little detour off the road on our way to Leigh Creek. TFTC

Loved finding some geocaches on a quiet afternoon in Copley. TFTC

05-May-24
What a beautiful spot to be. The hosts are so lovely and so is the ice cream and date treats! TFTC which I stumbled across accidentally, but subconsciously must have been looking for a cache

02-Jul-23
That was fun! TFTC

What a pleasure to bump into a fellow geocacher while looking for this cache. TFTC

12-Jun-23
Hard to find a quiet time at this beautiful spot. Such an awe inspiring place. TFTC

03-Jan-23
TFTC. Is a lovely spot to sit and take in the view.

Followed a hunch and came in a different way - avoiding the steep climb TFTC but there’s no pencil or pen and the log book is ruined so can’t write in it.

13-Dec-22
Nice easy find on an evening stroll. TFTC. Snails love it too. However, couldn’t write in the log because the book is wet and mouldy. Needs replacing and a more waterproof container.

11-Dec-22
Came back on a walk and thought I’d have another quick look - cut grass and less ground water made it a quick find today. TFTC

Lovely walk this evening without the kids which means a spot of geocaching with no whinging about doing it!! TFTC

Thanks to MDKT for the tip on how to get close to GZ without ending up with loads to f grass seeds in your socks. No luck at GZ though and rain had us decide to come back another day.

20-Nov-22
Wondering if recent storms have felled its home or exposed it to muggling.

First cache in our new neighbourhood! We walk past it all the time on our way to the Rec centre.

22-Dec-21
Such a fun place to hang out! I did have to use some tech to help find it. TFTC

10-Oct-21

25-Jul-21
Took us a bit of walking in circles (phone GPS a bit out of whack today). But another lovely walk. TFTC

What a lovely place to walk. TFTC

TFTC fun new find in a place we haven’t visited for a while.

28-Mar-21
A quick stop to break a long drought of no caches AND drop off the travel bug we picked up in Bendigo in July 2020. TFTC it was an easy find made harder with lots of muggled hitting balls!

05-Jul-20
What a beautiful drive and spot to visit. We were lucky enough to see kangaroos on the way here. Trackable found in the cache. TFTC

What a great spot. I forgot to take a pic of myself at the top. Too busy enjoying the view. TFTC

07-Mar-20
Doesn’t appear to be where it should be and based on previous logs, perhaps needs replacing.

12-Feb-20
Not too many muggles walking tonight but lots of cars wondering why we were lurking around the soon to be playground. There’s no character cards in the container so wondering if it’s been muggled recently? TFTC.

New fence in area, spotted empty container and log separate to it on other side of fence that’s inaccessible from ground zero or anywhere along the fence line or from in the park.

Got to turn the sad face upside down tonight. Woohoo, second go at it, first time in new hiding place. Lovely evening for a walk through the park. TFTC.

05-Feb-20
Second look and still can’t find it. obviously I do have a problem

29-Jan-20
Lovely evening walk with geohusband collecting some of this series. Was thinking it might actually be pelican shaped container. But disappointed! TFTC

What a beautiful stroll along the green creek. ️ took some powers of deduction to find it. Especially since my phone gps still seems to be about 9m out! TFTC .

Found a magnificent bee hive in a log while we were battling my phones GPS (is inconsistently out up to 10m. This time I allowed 10m right from the start and it was only 2m out!) TFTC

23-Jan-20
New phone is consistently about 9m our. But I guess I know that, I can work around it! I don’t know why we haven’t got this one before, but I was happy for the excuse to drive up my favourite local st. Love the view. TFTC.

22-Jan-20
First find of this series, was a bit spooky in the dusky light but not too hard to find. (Especially since I have t read lord of the rings!) TFTC.

02-Jan-20
Third visit and with another hint from CO, still couldn’t find it. going to have gelato to console myself.

Having found similar caches today this one I thought it would be any easy grab, but wasn’t expecting have to tackle my fear of other reptiles and arachnids. I got there in the end. Thankfully kids stayed behind at playground with husband so I wasn’t being hassled to hurry up. TFTC

Desperately trying to knock over the 200 milestone while on holidays. Up to #2 today. Phone gps is jumping around and not being helpful at all. Just about to leave with many muggles around and husband exclaims, I’ve got it! Hooray! At 197 now and off to get a few more after our giant steak dinner at the BBQ inn. Yum! TFTC.

Started with excitement as we arrived at GZ and a person was being arrested for drinking alcohol in the dry zone. Police were right where we needed to be! Then we were Just about to give up and move on when *drumroll* we found it. Clever. Love these kind of finds. Hallelujah, it’s find #199. Woot woot. TFTC

Beautiful evening for a stroll around the jetty precinct. Bit busy, but didn’t matter for this one. TFTC. Oh and this ended up being #200 for us.

Woohoo. Second time (but first proper look) lucky. Geohusband and I are making our way from steak dinner at BBQ inn to the other glenelg tram cache and trying to crack 200 while we are kid (read whinger) free. Which I guess is why we had the time to mooch around here without looking suspicious as a large group! TFTC.

31-Dec-19
Out for a ride, we’ve passed this one lots of times but finally got agreement from the family to stop and look for it! TFTC

26-Dec-19
This one needs lots of discretion. Not sure geokids were discrete but campers nearby prob used to it. We’re staying at the park and have done so many times, but not done this series. TFTC.

Oh gosh didn’t I get a fright when I put my hand in without thinking and pulled out the cache tube and a bonus spider. Eeeekkkk. Needed a hug from the geokids to get my heart rate back down. Also note to self to bring geocaching bag next time with torch and magnet tool to get finds like this. TFTC

20-Sep-19
Happy birth day to me, we found Australia’s first geocache! it was a beautiful walk through the national park. We’ve been staying at the caravan park, so went in that way and ended up choosing the wrong fork in the road, so it was a bit longer than the few hundred meters we thought it would be. TFTC.

10-Sep-19
Quiet day at the zoo, beautifully sunny after the cold start. I’m glad it was quiet or this would be tricky to get! Also wished I hadn’t sent kids off elsewhere as they would’ve been handy. ️ we watched the lemur and spider monkeys for ages here. TFTC.
