A road trip out for Valentines Day with hubby Greysub brought us here to this gorgeous little stop.
A quick find, wet knees and soaking wet feet!
Tftc!

A trip out with hubby Greysub for Valentines Day, I thought I'd show him St Ronan's Well which I had visited many times over the years. A few photos and we wondered if there would be a cache at this gorgeous location. Hubby looked for this one as he had the better suited shoes for the slippery embankment. My spidey senses lead me to think it would be in a sneaky little spot so I made the suggestion and hubby quickly had the cache in hand.
Tftc!

13-Feb-15
Day trip to Port Welshpool on a windy, grey day with hubby Greysub.
A quick wander off the unmade road and we quickly had cache in hand. Lovely quiet spot!

19-Oct-14
After a lovely weekend away with hubby in Warrnambool, we decided to grab a few caches on the way home.
Had read about Granny's Grave in the visitor's guide so asked hubby to head there to pay our respects.
Headed back to the car when we wondered if there would be a cache there. A quick check and we wandered back for a quick find.
Thanks for the hide!

After a wonderful weekend away in Warrnambool, hubby and I thought we would grab a quick cache before heading home.
Being his 300th find, I let him do the searching.
After reading a few of the logs, we thought to look outside the square and this allowed for a quick find.
Great hide!
TLNL.
Thanks for the find.
Mrs Gilesy.

After a lovely weekend away to Warrnambool with hubby Greysub, we headed home through Colac after seeing the war memorial on the way down, making the promise we would photograph it on the way back.
Close shaves abound with feral kids hanging around and the park ranger stopping right at GZ to inspect the area and maintain his hydration levels.
Managed to look busy until he left, with hubby eventually swooping in for the find.
Nice little hide!

18-Oct-14
On a lovely weekend away with hubby Greysubmarine, we thought we would take a few moments to grab a cache or two.
A quick grab and a walk up the hill. What a magnificent view!
Such a beautiful town here.
Thanks for bringing us to such an important monument to remember our fallen soldiers. Absolutely beautiful tribute to them.

21-Apr-14

Thanks!

04-Sep-13
A quick caching run found us in the area for my 250th find. Pulled up to GZ in the dark and searched for a way in through the bushes by torchlight. Found it and clambered through to find this surprising little clearance. Once in, made a quick find, signed log and returned then did the 250 find happy dance.
Can now order my 250 find coin woohoo!
Thanks for the hide!
Mrs Gilesy

Dropped down to GZ and cache is still alive and well. Happy hunting!

A quick cache run found us up in the area. Hubby Greysubmarine and I made this quick find and were impressed with the rather unique container.
Signed log and returned.
Thanks for the find Jacimarble.

03-Sep-13
Quick caching run with hubby Greysubby to bring my total finds to 248.
Laughed my tooshie off when hubby stood up to his ankle mud but otherwise, a quick, easy find.
Thanks heaps Vampyre!

On a quick caching run after meeting with Northern SsangYong after buying one of their awesome cars, we found this little gem on the way home.
We had previously been to this GZ and abandoned search due to heavy muggle activity however it was quite quiet at this time today.
After looking where we thought it would most likely be, the GPS kept telling us otherwise so we moved our search and found the cache pretty quickly.
Nice little hide laurenda!
Mrs Gilesy

On a quick caching run after meeting with Northern SsangYong after buying one of their awesome cars, we attempted this little gem, not far away.
Hubby and I surveyed the area from all angles, read previous logs then hubby leapt into action. Up the tree and searching for what seemed like ages, we decided to call it quits.
Hubby came down from the tree and we were just about to head back to the car when we had one last look from the ground. There it was....
Hubby was scratched and dinged up from previous tree scaling so we decided to call it a day.
Perhaps another time when we're in the area and the cuts have healed lol
Should have an option of "We found it but couldn't sign it!"
Mrs Gilesy

On a quick caching run after meeting with Northern SsangYong after buying one of their awesome cars, we found this little gem, not far away.
Parked the GeoKorando and tried to get my stupid iphone to settle. In the end, I gave up and just looked at all the forks in all the trees on the property and made the quick find.
Thanks for the hide DAKM!

On a quick caching run after meeting with Northern SsangYong after buying one of their awesome cars, we found this little gem, not far away. Hubby decided he would grab this one for the team but stood at ground zero trying to work out how to manage it. He came back to the car where I had the brainwave of handing him my trusty walking stick which provided a quick solution.
Great hide ELERT261419!

On a fathers day visit to my sister in law's house, I took my lovely nephews out to introduce them to geocaching.
Approached GZ and parked car. The geonephews ran ahead, most excited about another find.
I stressed the importance of being discreet as while there weren't many muggles at that time, we still didn't want to be caught.
I sat in the car having a chuckle watching the boys trying their best to 'act natural' in their newfound hobby. After a few minutes of searching, I joined them and gave them a few ideas on where it could be, then Geonephew 1 made the find. The look on his face was just priceless. Definitely another caching convert!
Signed log and returned cache.
Thanks a memorable hide!

On a fathers day visit to my sister in law's house, I took my lovely nephews out to introduce them to geocaching.
Approached GZ and parked car. The geonephews ran ahead, most excited about their first find. Geonephew 1 found cache very quickly and I was most impressed.
I explained the importance of being ninja-like and not being obvious so he got a little nervous and ditched cache in an almost unretrievable spot at GZ!
Called hubby Greysubmarine to come to the rescue with long nosed pliers and he rescued the cache quickly.
Signed log and returned cache.
Thanks for the cache Blacklegend!

31 of 31!! Woohoo!
Doin' the happy dance!
Another crap day of sickness and pain in the Greysub/Mrs Gilesy household and from the comfort of my bed I just didn't want to be out here tonight.
I'm so glad I did though. This was my fourth find for the night, hubby had already found this a couple of months ago so as we wandered in he was bombarded with questions like "What fears will I face? What is going to jump out at me? Am I going to hate this??"
Wandered through and noticed some illegal 'smoking vessels' in the tree and gathered that this was not in fact the cache.
A bit more of a look and I found it, completely unaided and lived to tell the tale. Took TB
Thanks heaps for the cache Sharnedog123!

Another crap day of sickness and pain in the Greysub/Mrs Gilesy household and from the comfort of my bed I just didn't want to be out here tonight.
So glad we did though! Wandered in to GZ with giant bugs getting caught in my hair, things falling out of trees, nature attacking me from all angles. Stuff nightmares are made of.
Torches shining, fear factor=10, hubby comes out with those beautiful words.
My knight in shining armour leapt onto this one, quickly securing it in his grasp. Was all quite manly and rather impressive really.
I did my bit by doing the paperwork and hubby returned it to its spot.
Nice hide!

Got to this cache which hubby Greysubmarine had found a couple of months ago and was MOST proud of himself as a result!
He has been telling me all about this 5 Star Cache ever since but never let on as to where it was. Not even a snippet of a hint for his loving wife. All's fair in love and Geocaching!
Arrived under the cover of darkness (well, as dark as it gets there!) and started the search, armed with readings of all logs, determined I would not leave with a DNF.
Wandered.
Kicked a few things.
Dodged a muggle.
Tapped a few things.
Dodged another muggle.
Re-read the logs then thought... "What if....."
BINGO.
I am a champion. I am awesome. I totally OWNED that cache.
No DNF's for this little black duck today!
Thanks so much Bounty Trackers for this great hide and you've definitely got a favourite from me!
Mrs Gilesy.

Hubby Greysubmarine had already found this cache a couple of months ago so he wandered with me quietly while I searched and worked out where this was.
What a fantastic hide under everyone's nose!
Thanks so much for the hide Richster!

I'm so glad I did though. Hubby Greysubmarine and I parked not far from GZ and we wandered in through the gardens in the dark to GZ for a quick find.
We sat there on the bench together on this lovely evening, holding hands, enjoying the moment and we agreed that would should build a lovely garden like this at home with a park bench to carve our names and our wedding date in. A lovely idea inspired by a beautiful area for a cache.
Thanks so much pprass!

Our last cache for the night and find number 240 for me, I walked over to GZ with hubby Greysubmarine who had found this previously on a cache run with KTCvic. Got to GZ and made a quick find.
Signed log , took trackable and returned cache.
Thanks Team Seegs!

After a find close by, we decided to look for this little gem. Wandered over and saw something suspicious poking out from somewhere so picked it up and was puzzled as to what it was. Looked back where I found this and found that it was part of the cache which had come apart.
Signed log and tried to put it back together as best we could then returned it.
Thanks heaps for the hide Darylim123

Day 30 of 31. Nearly there!!
Headed up into the hills as part of our planning for a fundraising car rally and thought we would grab our daily cache while we are at it.
I have driven up near this road hundreds of times over the years and having lived in the dandenongs in the past, I had almost forgotten the special beauty this mountain has in winter.
Hubby Greysubmarine decided to grab this one for the team as my back has been treating me badly today.
A quick search and we soon had it in hand.
Log signed and cache returned.
Thanks so much for bringing us to this lovely part of the world Mincka!
Mrs Gilesy.

Thanks heaps Tank47!

Day 29 of 31. Two more days left! Woohoo!
Hubby and I headed out for a quick before we set off to start coordinating a car scavenger hunt for a fundraiser we are organising. Promises to be a fantastic day!
We parked the GeoKorando and wandered over. Spotted GZ and as my back is in a bad way today, hubby Greysubmarine headed down to this one and grabbed the cache for a quick, easy find while I cheered on from higher ground.
Signed logbook and cache was returned.
Thanks for the hide Paul The Hippy!

Day 29 of 31. Two more days left! Woohoo!
Hubby and I headed out for a quick before we set off to start coordinating a car scavenger hunt for a fundraiser we are organising. Promises to be a fantastic day!
Parked car just shy of GZ and waited for GPS to settle. I looked over and immediately spotted the unconcealed cache. We grabbed it and signed log then returned it with a bit more concealment and camouflage. Would hate for it to be muggled because it's so easily spotted!
Thanks heaps for the find SNDG.
Mrs Gilesy.

28-Aug-13
Day 28 of 31 and hanging out for the end of this challenge!
Hubby Greysubmarine and I ventured after hours of procrastination - me with a defunct back, hubby with a wicked case of the flu.
Arrived at GZ and looked everywhere with no luck. Went back to read the description again then clicked on what I was looking for. Now to find it!
Looking, looking, looking, wait....
Woohoo! Find #230 and a very memorable one!
A favourite from me
Thanks for the awesome hide!
Mrs Gilesy

Day 27 of 31. We're nearly there!
Finally, after checking this one out a couple of times and giving it a miss due to muggle activity, we dropped by this one tonight after hours. A quick search came up with the find. Signed log and returned cache.
Thanks heaps for the cache!
Mrs Gilesy.

26-Aug-13
Day 26 of 31 (are we there yet??)
Hubby Greysubmarine and I scoured the maps for another quick park and grab as he is suffering from the flu and I've done my back.
Pulled up at GZ and found this little gem quite quickly. Great camo and lovely area for a hide.
Another place to walk the geodogs!
Thanks for the hide!
Mrs Gilesy

25-Aug-13
After the previous DNFs, checked cache today. Looks like previous cacher has been a little too thorough with replacing cache and was placed a bit far out of reach.
Cache retrieved. Good to go!

Day 25 of 31. A quick cache to tick off today for the challenge.
Hubby approached GZ on this one, smacked his head on a branch and whilst getting up from tripping over, the slapstick comedy ended in a quick, easy find.
Log signed, cache returned. Thanks heaps for the cache.
Mrs Gilesy.

24-Aug-13
Day 24 of 31 day challenge (are we nearly there yet??). Not really in the mood at all to be caching today so we picked one in the Vermont South area and was greeted with masses of muggles. Tried another and the same thing so we dropped in to this little gem.
Drove in through the carpark and noticed the accommodation at this establishment. Never knew it was there. I guess if you get a bit lucky on a Friday night at the adjoining watering hole, this could come in handy?
Pulled up at GZ, hubby made a quick dash to grab it, log was signed and cache returned.
Thanks heaps for the hide guys!
Mrs Gilesy.

23-Aug-13
Another reasonably quick find for 23 of 31. After searching frantically for a local park and grab, we were shocked to see all our locals have been found so we are having to cast our net further than before to get our daily fix.
Hubby Greysubmarine spotted this little gem first and we retrieved 2 trackables for our efforts.
Log signed, cache returned.
Thanks as always Datruk!
