Logs for Katche1
22-Jul-12
Found it. There was a wine tasting and jazz event on just a little way away but picked it up when no muggles about. TFTC
Found it just after the geocacher's picnic. Busy area today; wine tasting, weddings, geocachers. Nice spot.
Missed it initially. Where I poked my head was so close to it, I didn't see it and moved to look elsewhere. Poked my head back again, but another metre away, and realised I'd been right at the start. TFTC.
I had a bit of trouble with this one until I started thinking logically. Where would a big one be? TFTC Beagle Team

Magnetic rocks? My GPS compass was all over the place! Found it though. This is a track I run often. Never thought to look for caches before today. Duh!
Definitely a few scatches and spider webs. Found it although a cyclist stopped to check if I was OK. Used the toilet stop excuse!
Great hide! There's been a recent burn off through this area but it avoided the fire. Log book breaking up unfortunately. Left a tag. TFTC
After 10minutes of my compass swinging I gave up. Will have to return on another day.
07-Apr-12
Not a fan of snakes and spiders so having to 'go bush' for this was terrifying. Found it though!
04-Mar-12
It's taken me over a month to post this. I didn't find it as was using the old coordinates. Will have to go back another day
It's taken me a while to log this sorry. Spent a bit of time hunting but couldn't find it. Guess I know why now!
12-Nov-11
Children everywhere but I looked like I was really interested in machines and managed to get there without too much notice.
23-Oct-11
Golfers were teeing off so had to come back in the evening for another go. Easy find once there was no one around.
It was a hot day and muggles everywhere. I had to pretend I was needing shade to drink my newly purchased drink but still get odd looks from a few passers-by.
My GPS was very confused. It kept changing it's mind and sent me to 3 different trees on the other side of the trail. In the end I used my brain and went for the tree in the swamp. Who placed the stepping stones? They were very handy! Could hear some very loud frogs in the area too.
I loved this spot. Picnic table really handy for a nice lunch. A big mob of merinos did a sprint past.
I was on my bike and came at it from the lake side rather than the road. I rode up the wrong side of the stream and had to do a big double back to get to the road to find this one. Phew! TFTC

The climb up wasn't so bad but I had a few slips negotiating my way back down. Suffered a few blackberry scratches and a barbed wire stab trying to reach the cache. I must have been tired from the climb to be stupid enough to grab hold of barbed wire! [B)]
I was hoping to see some spray but it was quiet on the spillway today.
Glad I did the track in a clockwise direction. The next downhill bit would've been less than fun to trek up in the heat.
