I was out and about in the area with some time to spare, so called into beautiful Parramatta Park and came looking for this cache.
At first I wasn't sure how to access the cache and was on the wrong level. Then I saw a mush easier way around so parked the car nearby and headed towards gz. And on the way - there were bats everywhere! Apart from that is was a very nice walk beside this rocky part of the river. Soon had the cache in hand - signed the log and replaced it as found. Managed to make it back to the car without getting bat-bombed too. Phew. TFTC Cool

I was out and about in the beautiful Parramatta Park and decided to find this cache along the riverside. Seeing as it seemed to have been muggled I placed a temporary cache while the CO gets around to replacing it properly.
So now there is literally a mint tin with a small log inside. Be sure to replace the camo so that muggles don't see it sparkling. Cool

Made a trip today with Brewmaker to Harold Reid Reserve at Middle Cove where there are some walking tracks and numerous caches. It was a perfect autumn day and I didn't expect this area to be so beautiful. There were lots of interesting things to see along the way.
This cache should be called A Big Drop not A Small Drop! We split up and then I noticed a pencil sitting on the dirt nearby. Looked to one side and there was the cache Obviously the pencil had escaped! Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

All I can say is wow! What a beautiful location here sitting on the wooden seat and looking across the peaceful waters to bushland on the opposite side. And what a clever cache! Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

This would certainly be a perfect spot for breakfast - or lunch. It's a beautiful spot on a low rocky outcrop right beside the peaceful waters. After looking at the view the cache was soon found nearby. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

There are lots of steps in this area and I really liked the narrow ones between the two big boulders. Shortly after Brewmaker spotted the cache easily beside the track. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

On approaching this one we initially took the wrong track but then doubled back to the correct track. I quickly made the find and on replacing the cache Brewmaker accidently spilt the contents everywhere. A quick scramble before muggles were on the scene and it was all back in place. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

We didn't see any kookaburras here but I did spot the case very quickly thanks to the hint. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC Cool

There were lots of steps here, but fortunately all downhill. My Coords were out and initially I was looking behind the wrong rock. Brewmaker went a bit further down and then found the cache. Signed the log and replaced it as found.. TFTC Cool

Event is over and out

I was out and about in the area with some time to spare, so called into beautiful Parramatta Park and came looking for this cache.
Parked the car nearby and headed towards gz - but had no luck. Then read some previous logs about the co-ords being out a bit, so widened the search and then spotted a familiar looking hide. On closer inspection the cache was revealed. Signed the log and replaced it as found. Also left a trackable. TFTC Cool

I was out and about in the area with some time to spare, so called into beautiful Parramatta Park and came looking for this cache.
Parked the car and then headed off on a nice walk through the park and into the bush area, until I saw a likely cache hiding structure (the title was a bit of a hint).
Had a good search around and about - I wish there weren't so many cobwebs around here! TFTH Wink

09-May-17
I was out and about in the area so decided to visit beautiful Parramatta Park in search of this cache. Parked the car and walked over but ended up on the wrong side of the creek. I looked across and saw where the cache would be according to the hint. Thought I'd have to walk all the way around but then saw an easy access across. Had fun obtaining the cache. Signed the log and replaced it with a bit more camo on top for protection. TFTC Big Grin

I saw this new geocache had come up overnight and decided to find it on my way out this morning. I know this park so knew roughly where to look. Parked the car alongside and headed to a likely gz spot nearby. Missed the cache on the first sweep but then found it after a second look. Signed the log as Second to Find and earned a special souvenir badge today for the 17th anniversary of Geocaching. TFTC Big Grin

Out today on a walk along this new Malabar Headland coast trail and then I see that there is a new geocache along the way. Bonus.
Had already passed the cache so we went in search of it on the way back. Read the hint and headed back over for another look. After a few minutes I spotted something familiar and the cache was in hand. Found with Smudgeycat DG. Didn't have a pen so took a photo of the log and bunker instead. TFTC Big Grin

29-Apr-17
I saw that this new multi cache had been published last night and was still unfound this morning, so being a beautiful one I thought I'd get out and go find it. Acquired the required information easily enough and then worked out the final co-ords. Wasn't exactly sure how to gain access and at first I took a wrong turn, so then back-tracked onto the correct path. GZ was soon in sight and after a quick search on the wrong lever I then spotted another likely hide and found the cache hiding there. Opened it up to discover that I was First to Find [FTF]. Yippee! Signed the fresh log book and replaced it as found. Took the trackable.
Thanks for the cache Brewmaker Big Grin

A small but friendly group turned up for this CITO event today on a beautiful sunny autumnal afternoon. Armed with gloves and plastic bags we all scoured the bushland trails and banks of the creek for the usual plastic bottles and general rubbish. It was good to see a lot less rubbish here than there was last year.
The most popular member of our group was the dog bearing a trackable on her collar! She received lots of attention.
Thanks to all for attending and helping to make our environment that little bit cleaner Big Grin

Looks like the weather will good for the event. See you there.

Was out and about in the area so decided to visit this little park. Parked the car nearby and walked over for an easy find. Luckily there were no muggles about or it might have been difficult. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. TFTC Big Grin

Log has been replaced. Can future finders please ensure that the log is completely wrapped in the plastic bag as it is prone to getting wet.

Was out and about in the area so visited this park and historic house. Parked the car nearby and at first the GPS was all over the place. Then it settled and I honed in on GZ. Also found a few spiders! TFTH Wink

I was out and about in the area so called in in Teds Caravan Resort. Parked the car nearby and headed down towards gz. Read the hint so knew where to look but it still took a little while to find the exact hiding spot. Signed the log and replaced the cache. Good to earn a special

I was out and about in the area so went to check out this new cache. Parked the car nearby and then just a short walk until I spotted a likely structure. At first I wasn't sure which side to look on and even then where to look. Had a skirt around but found nothing. Then I stumbled across the tricky cache not where or what I thought it would be. Signed the log and replaced in between muggles walking by. TFTC Big Grin

Found this on a nice day after having a walk around Lake Burley Griffin. An easy find as it was laying out in the open. After singing the log I hid it in a slightly more secretive spot. Would like to play croquet here. TFTC Big Grin
