Logs for Silvereyes
23-Mar-22
Log very mangled & soggy have tried to rewind in a different way. Thanks for this series - just enough for me today.
Oops!! Brain went walkabout & was looking for something totally different! After 10 minutes or so, came to and found it eady as pie!
Emerged from this one covered in sticky sap & seeds from the wretched paspalum! Oh well, there goes an hour or two deseeding ha ha.
Lots of small white butterflies flitting among the myriad yellow flowers. One last hurrah before the colder days?
The wind soughing through the pine windbreak sounded like a flowing river. All good with the cache. Tftc
Suggest this series best tackled on a weekday - even mid-week, the cowboys are having fun on this nice stretch of road.
Best to get this one from the other direction (towards Canberra) & park on the other side of the road. Tftc
Had to wait for a couple of lycrad old blokes, fixing world problems, cycling past! Tftc

Ooooh - I hate these! Took about 45minutes but finally the persistence paid off. A lovely treasure in here for a Princess - delightful.
Know it is there somewhere but not for us today! Maybe come back for another try when the memory has faded a little and the enthusiasm returns! Will put on my Watch List - thanks for the fun.
Another piece of history gone to rack and ruin - how sad - but the cache was all good, thanku.
Gerriactive honed in on this one, no trouble retrieving and signing. TFTC
This is my third visit here over the years, this time with a proper tott in hand! Thought I knew exactly where the hide was and spent an energetic 20 minutes or so barking up the wrong tree - metaphorically speaking! Soon rectified this and had the cache in hand. Really enjoyed this one and giving it a fave. TFTC
Was really sad to see that the historic little bridge which shared so many secrets had been removed so that construction trucks could rush in and out of this area. Guess that's progress but so glad I had the opportunity to see it and slower times. Cache was a bit of a challenge after a substantial lunch which made it hard to bend over but was finally found after a few minutes. Really liked this one - thank you.

Quite a few people out enjoying these dirt tracks on this distinctly Autumnal Sunday for early February - the blackberries are lovely around this cache and I had some for morning tea!
Sixpence6 honed in on this one - the container was half full of water so didn't leave a treasure.
Yellow Tailed Blacks kicking up a fuss nearby though didn't sight any. Nice new container and log - thanks Mountains Beyond.
Am like a slow old Echidna climbing up these banks but the cache was nice and easy once I was up! Thank you for this one
Am sure it is there but this one did not look like my cuppa tea! Five years ago I would have given it a go but not today! Thanks for the placing anyway - looks fun for someone!
A couple of weeks ago I couldn't make it down the steep rocky road from the top but Muggle Daughter and Sixpence6 did - without then pen and other TOTS in my bum bag! This time, we approached from the bottom so that I could get it - still had a few problems getting up the bank but a quick descent - like Gorillas in the Mist, swinging on a pine branch! Enjoyed this one, thanks All7.
Container was almost full of water and the contents are really yucky!! Signed the disintegrating log as best as I could but probably illegible as we speak.

Muggle daughter found this one with no trouble. It's a while since I have been back to this area - last time it was with TravelGran and I was a lot more nimble! Anyway, it's nice to be back an thank you All7
Spotted one of the horrible eyeballs before anything else - great containers, everything nice and dry. Left treasures too. TFTC
Took an extra lot of trials and errors to get into this area - could not access from the Entry Point co-ordinates but maybe the old brain isn't as good as it used to be. Anyway, after a circuitous route, we finally got on the right tracks and GeoGrandson pounced on this one with great glee. Golly, what a terrific effort has gone into this series - thank you so much for the great work.
Located this one with little trouble - god, this is hungry country!! Another great cache with heaps of swaps - thank you.

No lid on this container but it was still nice and dry. Searched around a bit but couldn't spot it - guessing it's black which is a problem for me. TFTC
Oooh! This one beautifully hidden - enjoyed this one, thanku
On a solo jaunt under very threatening skies and extra strong winds. Found this one nice, dry and easy - thanku,
Very impressed at the clever work on these tiny logs - thanks for giving your time to give me pleasure.
Beautiful! Had me going round and round and took a while - a spider had added to the difficulty providing more cammo. Another fave from me with thanks for the series in this lovely area.
Guess who ended up on the wrong side of the fence - doh!! Two lovely young Muggles with contented babies in their papooses exchanged pleasantries - a nice hide, thanku
I always like to be the next to sign after MountainsBeyond - he always leaves things in good order. This was a bit of a surprise - a real one!! TFTC

Glad we didn't have to scale the fence!! A lovely cross country walk, lots of flowers, predominantly yellow, among them Bulbine Lillies. Enjoyed this one, thanku
A lurker hanging around here wanting to chat and give advice! Was happy just to find the cache and replace without being seen and move on. TFTC
Gerriactive honed in on this one and did the hard yardsmoving heaps of camouflage! Could have been anywhere but co-ords were spot on. Thanks for this
Did the homework for this little cluster way back in July - then came lockdown and, being a NSwelshman, have been banned from the A.C.T for weeks. Chose a fabulous, sunny summer's day and delighted in being back out in the bush and finding geocachers. Thanks for the pleasure.
This was really difficult to retrieve having been pushed so far in and both Gerriactive and I drew blood in the process. Gerri was the hero here and we have made it a bit easier to retrieve for the next person. The time and perfect sitting log made this a good place for lunch and a cuppa. Most pleasant, thank you DSD.
Both the log and the plastic bag were separated and out in the open, the container was empty and had the lid on! Strange! Anyway, log signed and everything re-assembled and replaced securely. TFTC

Have lived in Queanbeyan for over 30 years and never been up this nice track and into this particular bit of bush. Spring flowers everywhere and not bit of litter in sight - how nice. Heard screams coming from in front of me - Muggle daughter and GeoGrandson had found the cache and were spooked by the cache guardians - ha ha. Toughen up Princess! Lovely, thank you
The co-ords were a little bit out on the GPS but nothing like the phone! The 'Smart' thing had me 14,096km from the cache which I thought was stretching it a bit - ha ha. Did what all good Techos do, switched it off then back on - presto. All good. Thanks for this cache, safe and dry.
Log totally full, managed to sign sideways as 6D6 and s.eyes. Urgent attention needed - thanku
