Mrs found the tricky second plaque, after we looked up the Internet what the tree looked like.. Made the short walk to the cache, and Mrs once again found the container.. Nicely done..

It was a choice between the gardens or city geocaching.. Glad we chose this one!!

With much lesser muggles here, at least we could search in peace. Cache was found to be tempered with though, as logsheet was on the grass while the container lay opened.. We put everything back where we thought it should be and covered it up.. Should stay safe for a while now..

We enjoyed the walk today by the lake, would have enjoyed even more if the wind wasn't so strong, but hey, one shouldn't ask too much!

Absolutely in love with Mt Cook, especially after the Glacier tour.. took a quick walk along Kea Point track to this cache.. recommendation to the next cacher: get a small sized person to retrieve the cache.. It's a right squeeze!

We were deciding whether to make the track to this cache.. luckily we did.. The sunset view was simply fantastic and breathtaking.. We would have stayed here a while longer if not for the strong winds..

Cache was found easily, but not before battling the plants with needles on them.. hate them!

OMG.. What a rainy day after two days of sunshine!! Took a longer detour from Nelson and stopped by the Pancake Rocks for a visit.. photos turned out Crap, bit luckily there's the caches to sweeten and brighten the day..

Anyway, we made it to the Pancake Rocks in the wind and rain.. Walked to the info boards in question and took down the answer.. thereafter, it was admiring the pancakes and struggling to take decent (and dry) photos with rain splashing down..

Glad we did this one!!

Nice multi that brought us walking down Central Wellington and observing plaques that we would otherwise not have noticed.. The one on the chair and the one in the middle of nowhere certainly took the cake.. perseverance eventually paid off at gz, where we were greeted by the sneaky camo.. bugs were starting to inhabit the hide; it just belonged where it laid!! Busy stairway, but it did not stop us from retrieving and replacing the wonderful cache..

It was the start of a crazy day trying to geocache in the rain and wind.. Not that we had not done that before, but just not in such low temperatures.. Gps went crazy at the junction, so we split the work.. In the end, ling16 found the brilliant hide.. As mentioned by others, log was full.. Had little trouble putting it as muggles were too busy rushing around..

Third geocache of the wet and windy day.. The process of finding the right info and plaque was sort of funny.. First, the book.. We went into the nice book store, read the logs, realised it's supposed to be a library, left the book store, went up to the IHC library, only to realise that wasn't the place, and that the public library was right across the road from where we were.. When at the right library, it was all easy.. Then the plaque.. Maybe it was the wind blowing in our faces, but we sure were not thinking straight.. took a while before we stumbled upon it.. quickly took a photo of the gps and scooted..

All in all, an interesting way to conduct an earth cache.. learnt lots!!

Looks like this cache has been quiet for a number of months now.. We decided to embark on this short multi since it was on our way to the city centre.. Found both the waypoint and the final cache with relative ease.. I think what's key is figuring out which path to take to make it easier on the legs..

Cache container looked aged, but contents are dry.. Spiders beginning to make this spot their home..

Ran off as it started to pour after..

Splendid cache to have as my 600th, before we left the geothermally active Rotorua. Had an interesting history lesson as we read the information boards. It was really easy to pass this spot if not for geocaching.
