Not there anymore?

Easy. TFTC! Took porsche TB to move to other cache. Was the only TB in the box...

Thrilled to see that on this day ten years ago I hid this geocache. I always love reading new online log entries! The contents of the cache have at times gone rather wet, but the box still seems there, perhaps slightly further back and higher up, I hope dry, and definitely under a overhang. I would really appreciate it if you could help out by bringing some duct tape if need be to seal any cracks or the lid and perhaps a little notebook and pencil in a ziplock bag if you're early in the season. Happy exploring!

Was not looking for a cache here but found the little Systema container sort of next to the airstrip on the ground with the Pigs Can Fly (moist/wet) log in a ziplock bag. I reckon some cattle may have stood on it... Repaired container (cracked), added to the log and put the container within one meter of where I found it. Not sure if that was the original spot. Owner can contact me if need be...

FTF! Thanks heaps HunterNco for the hide. This was a jawdropping walk with spectacular scenery and indeed some hairy bits, but intensely rewarding! A favorite from me.

Thanks WanderingAus for the hide. I visited this rest stop about 6 years ago, busting to go...only juuust made it...not. I had to change pants behind that stone wall SmileSmile

After a DNF in Julimar I was pleased to grab this one. TFTC!

Lovely area for a cache, had a good look around. Thanks for bringing me here but I agree; cache might have been removed or a fire a few months ago might have had an impact.

21-Jun-15

Does anyone know about or who owns a cache at Haunted Tree Bore (further south in Owen Springs reserve)? I happened to stumble across it - seems old and falling apart, log "glued" together because of water damage...

09-Oct-14
Canister lid is deteriorating somewhat but all still ok. Funny I thought this one was really easy after I saw a pic with it. For the next geoperson or for owner: cache was found, but not in that particular spot. I put it back where I found it. TFTC

28-Dec-13
TFTC Lovely drive down - rather large campsite down there. Still water in the river but only up to the ford. Beatiful mistletoe in flower around there! Dropped off trackable.

Dropped off trackable

TFTC Was here with Geosis from Qld. Nice way to explore the area!

Great spot! I wonder what the place looked like in the late 1800's. Did not find the cache. Gps pointed definitely at larger tree - looked in up behind around - to no avail.

Easy find - reinforced bag with another plastic bag Thanks for the hide!

TFTC Found by geosis. Great to see something other than ammo- and lunch boxes!

19-Dec-13
TFTC - the small bucket was upside down in the bigger one . I reversed that set-up to prevent rain (rain? what's that?) from entering the cache... All just on dark. Good fun!

TFTC - nice spot, cache in good condition! I picked up a little dinosaur, couldn't resist.

Oh and I saw that someone had picked up the dolphin (TB Flying Dutchman) on 29/11/13. Was written in log in cache.

TFTC.Picked up TB Austria Soccer and Finn and Rosies Cornish geocoin. I thought. Inside the wrapper was not the geocoin itself but a small red aluminium (dog)tag with inscription Rachkins Team geocoin! So, Rachkins team, if you read this....Sad

what a trip! came in after first visiting northern boundary and the picked up another cache on the way. some tracks on the way south turned out to be trail bike tracks. mirrors of my landcruiser flapping in... After finding the cache I got out going towards julimar rd, so going down hill. That rd is very rutted, rather steep and I would most certainly recommend a 4wd for that bit! Anyway, this cache is located in a beautiful spot. The sun was just setting. TFTC yaydoot!

31-Aug-13
TFTC - Must admit it took me a while to find the obvious... one has that sometimes...

30-Aug-13
TFTC!

08-Jun-13
left a dog tag that's NOT registered or logged - I found it that way and I had no way of registering or logging. Next person is more than welcome to try.

28-May-13
Awesome hyde, cyclonic! TFTC . Took geocoin (pathtag) with number 3858700. Appears not known on this website. hm. Is on my keyring for now...

12-May-13
took me a while - but once found it seemed like a logical spot. TFTC! All in good order there. George still there and Les and Ruth too. They all are, and especially George is fantastic in looking after the guests!

I was intrigued with this cache and enquired in the area how to get there. Honeymoon Bay does not run trips by 4wd there anymore. The locals in Kalumburu are infighting about taking people there and who gets paid what. Other people say the oil rig-people are not happy with unexpected visitors there... There is a track from Kalumburu, graded 2012, so not again after that wet season, meaning washouts and two river crossings that can be a problem. I was strongly advised not to go there for now. Too many politics...

was looking forward to being ftf for this one... - tried accessing it via property entrance road: gps still pointing into paddock almost 900 meters away. could not find track that way. Did not walk (speargrass very high). Tried access via main road: had to walk few hundred meters into shrub, to find a creek I was not going to cross...but would have had to according gps. Ah well... Moved on.
