Was in the area and even after 2 years without caching I still had the feeling - this place will surely have a cache. Had a poke around in some possible sites and before long came up with the goods. Have done a few more caches since so thanks for getting me back in to it!

after a promising start with #6, hit a big snag on this one!! searched for 20 mins before giving up. went to do the rest of the trail and then returned for another 30 minute hunt before FINALLY finding it. really didnt think there was anywhere left look, but then there it was hiding in plain sight great hide 

started at this end on bike. nice an easy first one at least

wow, what a climb to this one! had to make a separate trip as my GPS battery died after finding #2... always nice to come back to the island though had some trouble with the GPS signal near to GZ but eventually made the find. great climb, thanks

Cache has moved to the other side of the island where it will hopefully be a bit safer from erosion.

Thanks everyone for stopping by. The new playground did get this one, so will need to re-think it. Won't be back in Whanga for the next month due to other commitments so will let this go and maybe place a new one somewhere close by soon!

I really hope this one survives but it looks very open where it is at the moment! Hope it can stick it out as it's a cool place for a cache TFTC

Stopped to see the village and parked 2m from the cache! Completely unintentional but a cool surprise when I checked the GPS on the way back to the car TFTC - dropped GC.
