Logs for mollyjak

05-Oct-11
Time to say goodbye to this event Smile

Tony and I would like to thank you all for attending and all the fantastic logs you wrote. We are glad you enjoyed visiting our area and the Kenfig Nature Reserve with the 25 caches there and about and hope we covered caching for all levels from very easy to the slightly more challenging Sands of Time series which is still attracting many cachers. Some of the comments and stories still make me smile from stories of dancing over a stream to being rather shattered when returning to the pub. As long as we gave a bit of a challenge as well as to the cachers who only found the Pub and the cache 50 yds away and sat and enjoyed the food, geochat and of course the beer.

I am glad you all appreciated the free gifts Tony and I bought ( my ebay rating went up considerably LOL) as well as the cache bags, containers, doggy goodie bags and things for the children - all seemed to be happy with them. I hope to find some of the bags out in the wild at some time Smile I wonder how many adults are using the Welsh flag bags LOL?

Finally I would like to thank the cachers who helped by arranging, picking and setting up, and returning the TARDIS and Dalek - our Swansea friends Smile

Hope to see you all again at an event sometime next year and be happy

Love

Staying in Bridport for a week in our caravan. We have done some of the Channel series so it was time to find some more caches travelling down to the coast.
Thank you for the cache – quick find and took Molly, Jak and Oz for a little walk – lots of poppies growing with the crops in the field.

Thank you for the cache – a quick find for Mr MJ as I was looking at the wrong side.
A very big apple orchard was close by including some very dark red apples I hadn’t seen before. Smile

Thank you for the cache – a quick find but Mr MJ had to get it as I am vertically challenged. Smile

We were on a trip to London to see The Lion King ( Mr MJ's birthday wander) and I was very pleased to see a cache so close to the theatre Smile
This was a quick find on a beautiful, crisp day even though there was a lot of snow around.
Thank you for setting this cache and the show was BRILLIANT as well Smile

Saw this a few weeks ago when I brought a class of schoolchildren to this museum.
Intend to go back and see all the things we didn't get to see.

These doors are outside Cardiff Crown Court S Wales UK.
Many criminal have passed through these doors over many years.

Walking past in Cardiff S Wales UK spotted this outside a restaurant.
Rather small but give it time!!!!!

We did some research and found that there is a mosque in Cardiff S Wales UK. Unfortunately this is not it.
This used to be used as a mosque but it has been converted and now has a number of offices for private companies. We assume this is because another mosque has been built in Cardiff. We were looking for the new mosque but my husband remembered this building and we decided to photograph this instead.

Did a cache a few months ago and parked behind these beach huts. Made my husband drive there again today so that we could get a photo of the beach huts. Just past Swansea S Wales Uk
Beautiful place - wonder how much these cost to own or hire????

This Butterfly House is called Plantasia and is situated in Swansea in S Wales UK.
Unfortunately as the sign says there are no butterflies there at the moment until the weather warms up. Roll on Spring!!!

Saw this sign passing from one county to another in S Wales UK on the way back from doing a cache today. Sign in English and Welsh (our traditional language).

Not sure if this quite lives up to the grand title of a skate park but it's the best I can do!!!!!
Also I'm a bit too old to be showing my best skateboarding moves.
Not a good picture as I am in shadow but I am there with my yellow etrex (honest).
This is to be found in Swansea S Wales UK.

This is a new stadium called the Liberty stadium which has recently opened in Swansea S Wales UK.
It is home to rugby, football and will also be used for athletics.

This birdhouse is to be found in St Fagans which is a museum of Welsh Life. It can be found just outside Cardiff which is the capital city of Wales.
My trusty yellow etrek is in my hand.

Found this whilst on a visit to St Fagans in S Wales UK. It used to be a school but has been transported to St Fagans which is a Museum. It is now used to reproduce school life from years gone by. Schoolchildren are taken there and dressed as in Victorian days. They are then taught the 3 r's and have to write with pen knib and ink in an inkwell.
They are glad to return to modern day school!!!!!

Found this whilst on a visit to St Fagans which is a museum near Cardiff S Wales UK.
It has been restored and is used daily to grind grain into flour which is then used to bake bread also traditionally using wood for the ovens.
