Out for a bike ride around the lake and picked up this cache on the return trip from my adventure along the lake. Good day out hunting for caches.

Out for a bike ride around the lake and pickup a few caches. Getting to this cache via another cache took me over some farmland and steep hills. Heaps of fun on the bike. Great hiding spot.

29-Apr-13
Out for a bike ride with the family around the lake. Kids stopped for a play on the playground while I hunted for his cache. Great spot for viewing the lake and mountain.

20-Jan-13
Took family and friends on a loop walk from Falls Rd up Anderson Tk, Trainline Walkway and back down Fence Line Tk. Found without too much trouble and the group did not get too far ahead.

Took family and friends on a loop walk from Falls Rd up Anderson Tk, Trainline Walkway and back down Fence Line Tk. Took a quick detour to nab this cache. Great veiws from the Dam.

13-Jan-13
Found it ... but it had been pulled out of its hiding place and scattered around. Placed the lid and log back where I would have expected to find it. Container not found though.

Needed to get out after doing house chores. Hours walk to find 3 caches, but failed to find this one after 10 mins. Come back another time.

Should have read other entries before tackling this one. Will try to drop in and have another look soon.

2nd easy find while walking up to the summit with St Chads Scouts on an overnight trip. Cheers.

Tried to find cache during St Chads Scout visit, but had to move out before being found. Will have to make a special caching trip over summer. I'll be back.

While knocking off waypoints on a route with St Chads Scouts, hung back to search for this cache. After a couple of zaps from the electric fence, cache was found. Great historical area to be looking for caches. Cheers.

[Last week while doing some organisation for a Cubs photo scavenger hunt, I tried finding this cache but could not find it. On my return with the Cubs today, I found the cache and it contents had been scattered around on the ground. I've collected up the cache and placed in tree] north of the rubbish bin which has extra growth around bottom[. Hopefully you can find, repair and place back in the original spot. Cheers.]

Easy find with clue ... look for a tree like a beech tree, but isn't. [:-)]

Great view. TFTC.

12-Apr-12
Once I got the right tree, no probs. Great little walk thru native forest. TFTC.

Track around the lake now getting little overgrown. Great spot. TFTC.

Fabulous day at the Mt. Not a cloud in the sky. TFTC.

15-Jan-12
Quick find during my morning bike ride. Nice little spot I've never noticed even though I've been passed it countless times on a bike. TFTC.

11-Jan-12
Located the cache, no worries, but decided not to retrieve it as there were too many muggles admiring the marvelous sculptures on display in the gardens. I'll have a nosy in the cache next time I'm visiting.

Enjoyed the walk thru the trees. Awesome cache. TFTC.

Certainly a unique spot in the middle. My son happened to have a blue peg with a white fish in his pocket, which he left in cache. Nothing removed from cache. TFTC. Smile

02-Jan-12
Went looking for this cache with the Family, but the terrain got too dangerous for little kids. Will come back another day, and try again.

Family outing on Mt Wellington. Easy find, although a bit of bush crashing thru gorse and long grass. Spent some time removing grass seeds from shoes and socks! Might take pack some gaiters for next cache ... just in case.

First geocache using the new Etrex 20.

23-Apr-11
Walked from Horopito to the Hapuawhenua Viaduct. Easy 4hr walk from Horopito as mostly downhill. Plenty of muggles out for a walk or mountain bike.

The Family and I have walked the Old Coach Road a number of times, but this was the first day looking for a geocache. My son enjoyed the added adventure of looking for a lost treasure Smile
