Hi there, see what you mean.
Found the cache about 1.5 meters from the coordinates according to my ETrex.

Once I realised the muggles were only having a secret smoke away from school, it was simple to find, TYFTC.

But didn't write in it as I didn't have a pen!
People said it was easy, but for a newbe it was a challange.
Once I understood the clues it was easy.
TYFTC
PS I love these welcome signs. Seen it on the Tele and it made me poud to be a Palmistonian. Wink

My GPS said it was in one tree, and my uncomon sence said another.
While I was searching I was ambushed by J+J.au .
Nice to meet these Ausy's.
They proved that persistance pays off.

19-Aug-12
Well this was a minor challenge. I swam though the mud and could see the activity from previous cachers, so was determind. Having problems with my GPS phone not knowing where I was, I retreated to some seats in the middle of the garden and watched 2 or 3 Monarch butterflies flying high in the trees. There was a bit of rubish around giving false leads, but I rechecked one of the more obvious clues and found a cleaver cache. TYFTC.

TYFTC in a lovely but boggy reserve. It was a reasonably easy find with a spoiler from a previous log.

18-Aug-12
Had a lovely time meeting all the new members.
A lot has changed since 2006 then

Looking forward to the Event. The Manawatu one today was great, so it's good to see Manawatu CGers are going well.

16-Aug-12
Hello Geocashers.
Lovely to hear of this event in a timely way. I certainly will attend. I havent been active for a long time. Alas this isn't the first event in the Manawatu as I held one in the Ashhurst domain. We had an accuracy test there, for us to test our hardware. Very informative.
There was a limited number of social members then, so we went to Wellington for an event down there, and we joined KiwiCashing.
Just found the event. Check out "Birds Eye Veiw (Manawatu)"1pm on Sunday 29 October 2006.
Hope lots attend & I will see you then.
Chris.

03-Jan-07
This is a lovely place to look for a cache, but disappionting as it had been muggled. Found open, spralled over the ground and very wet. Someone had signed the book on the 1-1-07. The three of us cleaned and dried the contents as best we could and double bagged it and put it back where we believe it should be.
Contents now-
PC chip & fan
1 AA Cells
Three screws
Two Airforce stickers/tatoos
$3.00 postage stamp, torn
Miniture clothes line peg
Note book
Instructions
1 working pen
We tidied up the area on a beautiful morning

[A wonderful place only 20mins from Palmy. The Manuka in flower and the distinctive country smell. Spectacular views of one of the worlds most beautiful valleys.
The Cache had a centimeter of water in it. The contents of the bag were dry, thankfully.
My second FTF. My boys and wife attended, and helped to find.] Good directions with a bit of a climb.

27-Dec-06
TFTC, one of the Acronyms I learn that day, appart from a chance to meet the wonderful people who play this game. Thankyou KC GenCuster for organising this event, and Swirl Creations that added to the fun.

26-Dec-06
I didn't find it but my son did but doesnt log it. He took a beaded bracelet and left a playing card he uses as a brand.
Nice place to use banoculars at.

Thanks to all those wh participated

Hello Gen, hope we get an oportunity to recipricate. Have a wonderful Xmas

Clam, mild & Cloudy, am easy find if I hadn't made it hard on myself, took nothing and left nothing. A lovely quite bushy road so close to civalization, Ta!

29-Oct-06
I love coming onto the ranges were these impressive juggernauts are. The Swish swish sound and their action against the sky are so surreal. Thankyou for the excuse to visit. Watchout for the sting ray in the cache. After all, look what happened to Steve Erwyn.

For anyone considering organising a Geo Event, After today I highly recomend it. It is wonderful to meet people with similar interests one wouldn't usually meet. Their varying experiences were invaluable to network and share some fun.
Thankyou to those who attended or took the time to contact me.

13-Oct-06
Please note the change of start time to 1pm on Sunday 29 October 2006. The confussion of days relates to another website to do with childrens day last year. I have just had a surveyor at the sight messuring some points for accuracy. I look forward to seeing you there.

23-Sep-06
Should be an easy find, if the encryted clue is correct, but no find! two of us tried again and again. it'll be interesting if anyone else can find it?

05-Sep-06
Try, try again. The cache was only half a meter from were I first looked.
Nice spot.

04-Sep-06
[Yea, my first first find, thankyou for a cache in this loverly valley.] I missed the correct turnoff but the bright colour ment I saw it from some distance. Better camoflage would make it more of a challenge.

03-Sep-06
Found it on Fathers day, Track is mostly dry though a shower did come through. The picture included is some distance from the cache.
Took a photo, 23 shots left.

02-Sep-06
[This is a beautiful valley. Used to be a great place to skinny dip during the week when everyone is at school or work.] If at first you dont succeed go round some more and look inside

27-Aug-06
[Nice site thankyou,] Protection is a nice clue.

20-Aug-06
[My second find. A lovely spot even on rainy day. Lots of flowers and Tui birds with their beautiful songs. I forgot my torch but perseverance paid off.] Initialy I was concerned about trespass until I found the Heratage Trail sign on the local road, at the above co-ordinance.

Found my first cache, yea! this was the third time to look here, so persistance pays off. Night time is a good option.

30-Jul-06
[I looked in the obvious places, but no success. Beautiful wild reserve with a bridge that used to span the waikato river, believe it or not, and a nearby paddock with a freindly pig. PS i found a barcode,] but not thiry nine.[?]
