I went out to have a look-see, and it seems to be gone. So I replaced it with a fresh container, and hid it a little better. Updated the hint as well.Game on!

I came out to check on this one, and it seems to be gone. So I replaced it with a fresh container.Probably the grounds crew stumbled on the old container.Game on!

#4,066: Restful Smiley!Ha! I came out today for a nice ride, and as I've been past here (and stopped to rest!) many times, I was going to place a cache here. But, to my happy surprise, this one is already here! Not too windy today, and not too many folks out and about. All in good shape!!SL/TFTC!!

#2 has now been replaced, so I've (re-)updated the calculations for this one again. Now, if only someone would come out to make a find!

07-Nov-24
GreenGecko1 was nice enough to do some maintenance on this one. I gave them a replacement cache with the proper item in it, and they placed it at the posted coords. Should be all good to go now!

#4,065: Barkley's Smiley! This one was published just a day after I found #1! Oh well. Always a nice opportunity to explore this area.I came to this excellently crafted cache on a nice MTB ride around the park. As this is one of the few I haven't found around here, I was keen for a go. Such a nice cache in a fun area!SL/TFTC!!

26-Oct-24
I headed out today to check on this one. Sure enough, it seems to have gone walkies...I replaced it with another container, and added to the hint.Let's hope this one lasts longer!

I stopped by to check on this one today, and indeed, it seems to be missing.I replaced it with a fresh container, and covered it a bit better with some nearby stones. Please replace as found!

It seems Red has lost his way once again! Until we can get things back up and running, please message the CO with the decoded coords and the necessary PIN code, and you will be messaged back with the coords of the final.

#4,063: Stewart Island Smiley!I came to this one with shockington on our walk along these nice tracks. This was quite the search! We first tried to access the direct way, but it got a little dangerous close to the edge. The gorse is pretty out of control, but we were able to find a path through it to arrive at the hint objects. All in good shape, and I dropped a trackable I've been carrying for a LONG time.SL/TFTC!!

#4,064:: High Smiley!I came to this one with shockington on our walk along these nice tracks. This was quite the search! We poked around all over, until he yelled out the magic words! Nice! Thanks for keeping this oldie but a goodie going!SL/TFTC!!

No love today! We thrashed about twice, once heading up and once coming down. Must be cunningly hidden!

#4,059: Stash Smiley #1!I came to this one at the end of my nice ride around the park. I had met up with BaldEd at an event earlier in the day, and he had said he was coming out too. I saw his signature on the log as I opened it up. Nice idea, and I noticed the next in the series has now been published the next day. I guess I'll have to go back soon!SL/TFTC!!

#4,056: Forest Smiley!I came to this one on a very nice ride around the park after a long break. I had worked out the coords a while ago, and had searched once before, but had not found it then. Today I expanded my search range and came up good! Thanks for both the puzzle and nice, big container.SL/TFTC!!

#4,057: Romeo Smiley!I came to this one on a very nice ride around the forest. It was a tricky one, and I think I was lucky to make the find. I'm not sure I WOOD have found it without the hint. But at least I wasn't BOARD during the search. All in good shape!SL/TFTC!!

#4,055: Eventful Smiley!I came to this nice event to catch up with some cachers I'd not seen in a long time, and also to give some hints to some of my hides. It was successful on both counts!SL/TFTE!

#4,058: Smelly Smiley!I came to this one on a nice ride around the forest. I was able to ride 27km in total, and find four caches. Lots of tree felling going on, so the place looks pretty devastated in parts. But, it will regenerate. Thanks for bringing me here!SL/TFTC!!

#4,048: Lyttelton Smiley!I came to this one on an unseasonably warm winter's day with two muggle friends. This was the last of the day, and a nice easy find. All in good shape.SL/TFTC!!

#4,046: Iron Smiley!I came to this one on an unseasonably warm winter's day with two muggle friends. But, I was able to get "shockington" hooked on caching on this walk! A muggle no more. Now he is doomed to walk the earth forever in the pointless search for Sistema containers in the woods...SL/TFTC!!

#4,045: Nick of a Smiley!I came to this one on an unseasonably warm winter's day with two muggle friends. But, I was able to get "shockington" hooked on caching with this one! A muggle no more. Now he is doomed to walk the earth forever in the pointless search for Sistema containers in the woods...Nice to find this oldie but goodie!SL/TFTC!!

#4,047: Storied Smiley!I came to this one on an unseasonably warm winter's day with two muggle friends. But, I was able to get "shockington" hooked on caching on this walk! Coordinates changed from:S 43 27.169 E 172 28.911Coordinates changed to:S 43 27.165 E 172 28.931Distance from original: 91.7 feet or 27.9 meters.I had to move this one, since the hint object that was its home is not stable. I updated the hint as well.

22-Jun-24
Went out for a looksee, and found the cache indeed gone, as the hint object was redone. I updated the coordinates to reflect the location of the new hide. Happy Caching!

25-May-24
#4,038: Okuku Smiley!I came out to this one on a nice 6km MTB ride up from the forest sign. Stunning weather, with no wind. It got a little chilly later in the day, but no drama.I was amazed to see another signature on the log from exactly a year ago! But it looks like the online log is from this year, which would mean we both visited on the same day. I guess they passed me on the way up in a 4WD. All in good shape, but there was some moisture in the baggie. I tried to dry it out as best I could, and rehid the container with a little more cover. Thanks for maintaining this "oldie"!SL/TFTC!!

#4,037: Restful Smiley!I came to this one after another find by this CO with lots of (well-earned) fav points. Pulled up on this Mother's Day, and was able to make the wee find staying out of site of those visiting mothers who had passed.Hint helped!SL/TFTC!!

#4,036: Wombley Smiley!Ha! I originally came here at the end of last year to try to get to 4,000 total finds, favouring those with high "fav" points, like this one. I found the location and the hiding place all right, but didn't have the right tools. Rather than force the issue, I decided to leave it and come back another day. Today was that day! This time I came armed, and made quick work of the fun hide. All in good shape!Awarding my last fav point. SmileSL/TFTC!!

#4,035: Birthday Smiley!Out at Hanmer for a nice birthday weekend! We decided to take a nice afternoon walk up the hill. After summitting, I noticed there was a cache nearby. I think I found one near the large rock at the summit in the past, but I guess that is gone now.Anyway, as the geomissus made her way to the picnic table, I stopped to find the cache. Soon at hand, and the happy dance followed. All good!!SL/TFTC!!

#4,033: Bluff Hill Smiley!Woo hoo! Nice to come back to make the find on this one almost 12 years after my DNF!! cold_front17, DieMannschaft and I were being hosted by the kind folks at the Te Rau Aroha marae for a couple of days for a wnanga, and today we decided to have a wee walk around before heading back to Chch. Great weather and views from the top. We had several falls starts before finding a relatively good way into the bush. Very densely grown right now. Tried to follow the hint, but with all the growth, it was hard to find the item. Finally just followed the coords, and bingo! Nice large container. Also nice to find such an oldie -- been a while for me to do so, and I'm so glad it is still in action!I have no fav points to give, but would do so if I could!Sl/TFTC!!

#4,032: Walk-along Smiley!I came to this one on a nice walk about with cold_front17 and DieMannschaft. Beautiful day, with only a little wind, and not too cold. We had walked past this one before we knew it, so backtracked to make the nice find. All in good shape!!SL/TFTC!!

#4,034: Earthy Smiley!I came to this one on an excellent walk around the area.Afterwards we were able to find the oldie nearby, and finish the walk.Answers sent to my friend the CO!TFTC!!!

#4,031: Lands End Smiley!Ha! Almost 12 years after my failed attempt to find this one, revenge! I came out today with coldfront on a walk from the marae. Nice day for a walk and nice to get some fresh air. The place was mainly empty, so could search in peace. So nice to complete this, as I also found the one at the other end of the chain a few years back.SL/TFTC!!

#4,033: Rocketing Smiley!I came to this one on a nice weekend ride around the place with a biking buddy who is also patient with me for some limited caching! Pretty sandy for most of the way to this point, but after going out to the point, we rode back along the beach when the tide was out, and had a nice tailwind to move us along. I trapsed up to this one from the shore, which seemed like a nice way to go. Nice container. To infinity and beyond!(Sorry for the late logging, but I forgot to log it when I found it way back when!)SL/TFTC!

#4,031: Pineful Smiley!I came to this one on a nice weekend ride around the place with a biking buddy who is also patient with me for some limited caching! Pretty sandy to get to this point, and had to scratch my head to find the "best" way in, but we got there in the end. Ticked way in, so no chance of going missing!(Sorry for the late logging, but I forgot to log it when I found it way back when!)SL/TFTC!

#4,032: Sandy Point Smiley!I came to this one on a nice weekend ride around the place with a biking buddy who is also patient with me for some limited caching! Pretty sandy for most of the way to this point, but we rode back along the beach when the tide was out, and had a nice tailwind to move us along. Awesome wee fun hide. #4,030: Co-FTF@8:10pm!!Woo hoo!! Saw this one come out around noon today, and put it aside, since I was at work, and it would require darkness. Texted TG while making tea this evening, to see if he was game. "Could be tempted" was his reply. And I knew that was code for "Yes, please!". A plan was hatched, and soon after tea, there was a knock on the door and off we went. Out at GZ, it was still quite bright outside, but we searched anyway. After the light faded more, I heard TG utter the magic words, and so we were able to find the tricky hide. Ha! Nice container. All in all, a nice evening out.SL/TFTC!!

#4,029: Biking Smiley!Out for a nice ride along the WCWT. Only two of us are cachers, so only signed for us. Cracker of a weather day, with only light winds, and no sign of any precip. Since we were more on a biking mission than a caching one, we only found a couple. We stopped at Hokitika after the first day, and did this section on the next day.Quickish find!SL/TFTC!!
