Logs for Osa y Leon

07-Jun-11
Found it when visiting Ozvixen... took us a while to find it in the dark with only one torch between us.
Verrrry clever, very amusing Smile

Found with Oz_vixen, beautiful sunset. It was the kind of colourful sunset that only a $10000 camera could do justice.

Nice easy find with visiting Oz_vixen. TNLNSL

30-Jun-08
Log was too wet to write on; it was even slimy! Ozvixen was happy to let Leon get his paws dirty on this one...
Having your tetanus shot up to date would be handy when handling this cache. Needs maintenance!
Thanks for the cache in any case Smile

2nd of 4 caches found today with ozvixen. This one was expensive, as a muggle attempted to thwart our caching by rear ending the cachemobile! :O Everyone's ok though...
Leon was happy to see other lions at the park. Really easy to see... once you know where it is! Great little spot!
Dropped off a Frodo TB, TNSL

Found the cache in good condition. Started writing the log on the back of the scroll.
The object in the hint was of unusual size; interesting.
Nice little spot.

Had a good look everywhere, without muggles, but couldn't find it. From previous post, was careful when checking hollow, and it was still with used needles :/
Unless it's in that hollow, neither ozvixen nor leon could find it after a couple of visits.

Will need to check again...

Nice cache; interesting tunnel. Felt like a budgie inside.

29-Jun-08
Found with Oz_Vixen. Pretty easy after the hint. Thanks for the cache!

14-Jun-08
Just dropping off some TB's that I've had for a bit too long...

31-Jan-08
Nice easy find, although borrowed Geodog tended to hinder rather than help the search.

TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache!

12-Jan-08
Thanks for the cache! Really beautiful spot, especially with the majestuous trees. Lots of interesting swaps. Picked up a TB (the frog) to help it on its way.
If you bring a picnic, make sure you bring your mozzie repellant though...

Nice and easy find, especially with the hints, while Oz_Vixen was laughing at my antics. Great spot, thanks!

11-Jan-08
Tried with OzVixen... to no avail. Many interesting places, but couldn't find it. Oh well, next time...

Second try, even with hints from OdeeMcPodee (thanks!), but still no luck! This one is starting to be a nemesis...

Great lookout, by according to the coords, GZ looked unsafe and very uninviting. Decided to give this one a miss.
We were also a little bit concerned about the signs posted near where we parked the car...

Only find of the day, together with OzVixen.
Took TB, LNSL

Tried looking for it with OzVixen, but to no avail. It looks like a muggle has set up home nearby, so maybe the cache was muggled.
The relevance of the name makes sense once you get there. Keep an eye out for the huge butterflies!

02-Dec-07
Once again, an excellent day spent talking to other cachers!

20-Sep-07
Thanks to the Teamkittens for taking me to Mt Stirling... although they had a good laugh watching me look for the cache.

Really really nice spot, many thanks for the cache!

Went straight to the GZ. When I searched for the cache, I got a huge fright, greatly amusing Osa.

Gotta hand it to Freddo... really well done cache with really nice camo.

03-Jun-07
Found it with Ozvixen... after a good while. Had to think like geocachers first, though. Got a few muggles interested in what we were doing, but we managed to blend in the background.
TFTC!

Didn't even have time to look around; Ozvixen walked straight up to it and retreived it. This one's a lot less painful than "Microcache" in Adelaide...
Cool container.

09-Apr-07
With many thanks to OdeeMcPodie!
Very Happy

Found this cache with OzVixen whilst visiting her.
Nice spot, pity that it was getting dark quickly.
Thanks for the cache!

01-Apr-07
Found together with OzVixen, showing me some of W'gong's tricky caches.
Pretty much made a beeline for it. Nice walk through various parks.

Thanks for the cache!

While looking around for the cache with OzVixen, we got sprung by Odee McPodie. If they'd waited for a while longer they'd have seen OzVixen and Leon doing funny circus tricks in an attempt to look for the cache. Sometimes being completely upfront and confident is the best way to remain inconspicuous.
After a chat (always great to meet other cachers) we managed to get to the cache. Definitely leave the geokiddies with geonanna.
This cache was a nice intro on how sneaky the W'gong cachers can be (Leon was visiting from Adelaide).

Came with OzVixen... this was the fifth time she'd looked for it. After looking for another while, we called a friend for help (thanks, Rats!). Found it... but couldn't log it. Could not get into the cache at all.
Later on that day we got sprung caching at "arm's reach" by Odee (the owner), who confirmed how to get into the cache.
Came back the following day, with better tools of torture to extract the information... but to no avail! Did not damage the cache (as recommended by Odee). I think that a slight maintenance on the rotten cache might be useful...
Thanks for the cache!

27-Jan-07
Interesting spot. Thanks for the hint, as it would be a shame to trample over a lot of the area looking for the cache.
Took a dollar, left a Han Solo magnet.

Great spot. There were some muggles around, though.

Took frog, left Tazos.

Easy find. Be careful - a redback made its home in the cache.

Nice, easy find in a nice spot.

Took glitter, left electronic Sudoku game.

Thanks for the cache.

Took (ow!) a bit (ow!) of looking (ow!) around, but (ow!) found it eventually (OW!).

Nice lookout. Took godzilla, left a bookmark. Almost needed to take a tetanus shot, too.

Looked and looked... couldn't find it. Found plenty of rubbish and slippery rocks, though.

Neat little park with a great view. Took SR71 plane, left a duck.

Thanks for the cache!

We found what we thought was the first stage, but it looks like the position to the next stage had fallen off or been rubbed off.

Nice spot, though.

Very unsafe ground, but found it without too many problems. Parking can be an issue though.

Took motorbike, left tea pot.

26-Jan-07
Couldn't find it. Found the tools for retreival, but no cache. The place was highly uninviting due to the mud, rubbish and overall unpleasantness. I think we'll give a miss to future highway bridge caches.

Quick easy find. Took lizard, left Star Wars tazo. Nearly left the PDA pen as well!

Had a good look around the area, but it looks like the latest torrential rains might have washed it away. All of the ground looked like water had been flowing strongly over it, as all the vegetation was pushed to one side. Had a good look around the likely hiding spot, even for quite a way aways (including downstream), but to no avail.

Nice spot! Took a bit to find, but not too many problems. Love this kind of container.

Being Australia day, I took the "I love Australia" kangaroo, left calculator watch.

18-Jan-07
ARGH!

We were planning to go to Pt. Lincoln for a caching long weekend, but we'll be leaving the area that morning. Not happy, Jan!
Have a great get together anyhow Smile

07-Jan-07
Nice, easy find. Very quiet corner.

Thanks for the cache.

Took snake, left butterfly.

Similar as to other people before, the GPS had us a metre away from the road. Looked everywhere for half an hour, but could not find it. The long grass was home to a lot of hazardous rubbish and wildlife, including many mosquitos and other nasties. Could not continue doing the Oxley series since we couldn't find the cache.

28-Dec-06
Spent a good half hour looking for this cache, but to no avail. Found about 4 perfect hiding spots for a cache in the region outlined in the hints, but they were all empty. Decided to give up the search as the footing was very dangerous and there was no room for error. The views were non existant due to the clouds, but they soon cleared up and the views were worth the climb.

27-Dec-06
Very hard climb. Found the cache after a bit of looking around, as the hints seemed to lead one in the wrong direction. Needed to take care as the footing was very slippery.

Beautiful views. Thanks for the cache!

16-Dec-06
Great day for a walk. Very peaceful area. Woke up a koala who gurgled for a while.

Took watch, left a necklace.

Thanks for the great views!

We were soooo glad we did this cache after "a curious cache", otherwise the climb would not have been pretty.

Many thanks for another great cache!

Took red truck, left stickers.

06-Dec-06
Thanks to Parrotheads for such a great night. Great to see many old and new faces. Can't wait for the next event!

21-Oct-06
Stumbled across this one by accident, the hiding place looked awfully familiar to us.
took glowing frog left macca's voucher.
Thanks for the cache, great view.
