Logs for The Spindoctors

27-May-17
This is the first cache for The Spindoctors since the passing of Spindocbob. The boys loved it. Happy birthday Spindocbob!

31-Aug-14
Disabling for now.

18-Jun-14
A quick park and grab. Even the local rabbit signed the log book.

I have sitting on this milestone find for a while, hoping to bag a BIG one. In the end my tumour decided to reappear and I was destined to make a trip south before the surgery. I was with my younger brother and mother who were dropping me at the airport and this seemed like a decent sized cached. After about 10 minutes of searching Xesist finally spotted it and we dropped in the geocoin from up north and headed to the terminal.

12-Jun-14
Back on line. You will now need a flathead or Phillips head tool.

08-Jun-14
Didn't find while we were here with the kids this afternoon.

24-May-14
Dropped by and collected geocache. Will make some quick modifications and get back online soon.

17-May-14
A nice easy cache. I'm not a fan of the drink (although I'll take a Zero).

When I found the other 12 in this series, I didn't realise that this was no longer a mystery. So on the way home I stopped by and grabbed this cache.

16-May-14
Wandered up to this cache from one close by wondering what it was all about. The location was interesting, especially as it had Aussie Rules posts. So what was so special about the cache. Ah ha!!!! Loved it. Great cache.

Wow! That is a big sized small container. Pity it couldn't be hidden the way you intended. I've found some great tunnel caches in Canberra. BTW - I hate clowns and I was not a fan of It, the cache was much more pleasant.

I've been here before. In fact I recall finding a cache and a wallet with cards scattered everywhere. I signed the log, took the wallet to the cops and that was that. This time around, the cache was harder to find. I thought I found the right spot. Alas, I wasn't reading between the lines. With a little help from a friend on Google Chat, I found the cache. Log is VERY VERY FULL. I found a spot.

An easy find once I found somewhere safe to park - a cranky housewife was tooting me as I paused in the driveway.

05-May-14
An easy find while enjoying lunch in the sunshine. This a great spot close to work, and the sushi from downstairs is always good value.

28-Apr-14
A great location and a fun cache to set up, but I think I'll let it go.

26-Apr-14
We thought we'd duck by the area to check out the area and knock this puzzle on the head. Unfortunately we were not to find it. Will try again another time.

24-Apr-14
Being just under a kilometre from my home, I've been a little slow in getting to this cache (with most to be honest). So with the an hour to kill before collecting my youngest from childcare, I walked to the local supermarket, grabbed a coffee and a cake and wandered to this great graveyard.

I've walked past it many times on the way to work (and should do again), and have actually visited the grave thanks to riblit and Waymarking. After collecting the numbers and enjoying a break, I found the cache in quick time. A great spot and a great cache. Thank you Toriaz.

20-Apr-14
Easy find in the end, although the mozzies were getting hungry at sunset. Encountered a strip of VHS cassette tape stretched across the road as I was driving out. Very strange.

Certainly are a log of rocks down below. Decent little beach with some good surf.

An easy to find geocache. Great view of the oyster leases.

A little bit of searching, but a few previous logs confirmed it was there. Decent place for a meal.

Just missed it. We stopped by on the way home from Forster hoping to grab it. No luck as it was gone.

Small wander around at the top. Wasn't sure where it would be, but the clue gave it away. Decent sized tanks for the township below.

19-Apr-14
Another easy find when you see another geocacher find it. Great container.

Bigger than we expected. Great view of surf below. Collected geocoin.

Isaac quickly found it. Great view of the surfers and sparkly water. Great Easter find.

17-Apr-14
Taking this offline for some maintenance over Easter.

30-Mar-14
Easy to find geocache once the GPSr settled down and I then noticed the likely hiding spot. Another great view of the lake from this locale.

First find as part of a walk around Lake Parramatta. There was no parking near the cafe, so I drove to North Rocks road and started close to this one.

Final geocache for the day (didn't realise the final cache was at the actual coordinates). A nice view of the dam wall, although I was troubled by the leak in the middle.

Easy find in the end. Bumped into another group of geocachers who didn't even notice that I had found it and replaced it. I wished them luck, but I'm sure they would have found it.

How is it still there? I would have thought the recent rains might have washed this one away. Obviously not.

An interesting rest stop nearby. I was tempted to rest and relax, but then I noticed a small (1 metre) red-bellied black snake zeroing in on a small lizard. The lizard heard it and scootered off. It then turned towards me and thought maybe I was a good alternative. I backed off a bit when it raised its head (it was less than 10 metres away). It eventually slithered off, and then down the embankment and into the water below. Oh, I found the cache.

This was a relatively easy find, once I stood back and thought about where I would hide it. A nice elevated view of the lake from this path.

A very easy find - the GPSr was reading 1 metre. Very unusual.

A nice spot at the top end of the park. A great spot to pause and have a rest before searching for the cache. The whip birds are quite loud here.

Probably the easiest geocache in this series. A couple about 15 metres ahead of me saw a large black snake slither from the path in front of them into the bush. I suspected they'd be out today.

An easy to find geocache, although a little out of the way. Thankfully it was easy to spot from a distance.

This one had me a little stumped, particularly as it was so close to the path. A group of geocachers coming from the opposite direction found it before i did. A nice view from this location.

Dropped by today and can confirm that it is missing. Given it was a decent sized geocache in a great location, I'ill organise a replacement soon.

27-Mar-14
Despite not having found it, I have the coordinates and print outs of the TBs from Leek. I know Leek is an active geocacher. I'm able to recreate the TBs and set them loose in caches again - unless I hear from Leek to say otherwise.

21-Mar-14
Found this geocache a few years ago, but at the time I wasn't logging National Parks geocaches. Now that we have it all sorted, I had no reservations logging this as a find. It was a little further than I remember, but thankfully I had the coordinates on this website (from my previous visit). It took a bit of searching, but Damo. came up with the good.

Found this cache a few years ago, so it was an easy find and this time I signed the log. Pity we can't see the view.

I wasn't sure how Damo. and I would go with this geocache. There had been a few DNFs, and atthe time I didn't know Steeba had found it a few months ago. We walked in from the south and clicked over the 1.8 km in quick time, but we couldn't find the turnoff. After a few minutes of walking and consulting vague maps, we decided to turn around and see if we had passed it. Sure enough we had, the sign on the rock was visible only from the north.

The next phase saw us climb up the hill and make it to the top. What a great view. After a quick break and a drink, we projected the waypoints and quickly found the geocache. Half an hour later we arrived back the car, hot and bothered, but happy to find these old school geocache.

16-Mar-14
I think I'll leave this spot for someone else.

02-Mar-14
Temporary mint tin in its place. Same location.

01-Mar-14
I've received a few notes in recent days about this cache. Given the immediate interest, I will try to drop by this weekend and drop off a temporary replacement.

28-Feb-14
Life has taken a bit of a turn in the last week or so. I won't get to this for a few more weeks. Plan to have it return.

Almost went a whole month without a find. Needed to drop by a supermarket to get some things and this micro (I don't normally do micros) was nearby. A simple find next to a train line I used to get each day to work.

22-Feb-14
I will check in the next week or two.
