Today we toured Prague, seeing many of the famous places. We learned a lot of history and enjoyed the day. We stopped at this place while on the way to Charles Bridge.

Today I flew into Berlin from Salt Lake City, Utah to start a tour of Europe. We stopped here on a city tour on the way to the hotel. Thanks for the virtual.

This was our one target cache for the day. We are on a day trip from Ogden. As we were starting from car, a German couple drove up, who were also on their way to find the cache. We started out as they were parking their car, and they ended up passing us as we closed in on the cache. We had a great time talking about caching in Germany, the US and even the International Space Station (who wouldn't want to find that one). This is our 3rd Aug 2000 cache, now we just have to go to Sweden to find the last one. Thanks for keeping this original cache going for all these years.

Out making a few last finds before heading off on a cruise. Looking at where the other caches were, I make a correct guess on which way to count. TFTC
12-Apr-18
On our last full day we spent some time in the botanical garden and ended up stopping at Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Nice views from there, no wonder it is such a tourist stop even today. TFTEC
On our last full day in Sydney, we took a walk to the Sydney Opera House. While there we completed the two earth caches. We had an enjoyable time looking at the wonderful architecture, watching all the other tourists, and all the school groups touring the Opera House and nearby botanical gardens. TFTC

Took the bus out to Bondi to spend some time on this famous beach. Enjoyed the sun, sand and surf today. Talked to one of the surfers and he said the surf was going to get even higher, about 12 foot waves, in the afternoon. While here we completed the earth cache as a bonus to the day. TFTC
Took a second look, but we found it. Managed the find between the school groups. TFTC
Enjoying our time on Cockatoo Island. We came out for this virtual, then spent some time getting a few of the other caches, and seeing the history of the island. TFTVC

No one around when I got to the area. Made a quick find and enjoyed the views before moving on. TFTC
Stopped by here at the end of the day to drop off a bunch of TB's that have been traveling with me. Took the train and light rail to the exhibition center stop, then a short walk to the cache. TFTC
Found this earth cache while exploring the island. It reminded me of a mine tunnel with all the supports and roofing. Thanks for placing this one.

Wandering around the Sydney harbor area seeing a lot of the tourist stuff, and finding a few caches along the way. Found this one on the way to walk over the bridge. TFTC

Wandering around the Sydney harbor area seeing a lot of the tourist stuff, and finding a few caches along the way. Liked how some of the old building are still here. It gives a feel for how it might have been many years ago. TFTC
Took the ferry over to Manley for a part of the day. Ben and Jerry's ice cream was advertising that it was their annual free ice cream day. Had a free scoop, found the cache and headed to the ferry for the trip back to Sydney. Great camouflage on the cache. All in all a good day. TFTC
After spending the night in Batemans Bay, we are headed up toward Sydney, stopping for a few caches along the way. This was one of the few target caches we were looking for. We stopped at the nearby camping ground first, where we spent a few minutes at the beach. There were 2 sting rays swimming right up to the edge of the water eating what was left after some fishermen cleaned their catch. We also got within about 3 meters of a pelican who was hanging around. From there we made our way out to Wasp Head to complete the earth cache. With out the guidance of the earth cache I probably would not have seen or understood the variety of geologic items shown of the relatively short walk. It was a sunny day with light winds, and the tide appeared to be out, so we were able to wander around and take our time. Thanks for the very well constructed earth cache, and for placing the first earth cache.

Stopped here after walking over the Sydney bridge, and before heading to the ferry terminal. Interesting parallels between the Ozymandias story and the area. Thanks for the virtual.
Enjoying a great visit to Sydney. Among the stops today was the bridge. While there we completed this earth cache, and learned a bit about history of the bridge. TFTC
On our first full day in Sydney we decided to take the walk to the middle of the bridge. Looking out from the bridge I liked the view of the harbor. It shows the old fort from the 1800's with the modern navy ships moored at base nearby. The peace of the opera house, the busy ferries moving back and forth, with sailboats lazily gliding by. Thanks for the virtual.
While we were in the area, we stopped and read a few of the plaques. Most of the authors I had never heard of. I had heard of Joseph Conrad and remember many years ago reading Lord Jim. Thanks for the virtual and for keeping it going for all these years.
09-Apr-18
Stopped here on the way to dropping the rental car off at the airport. Had fun looking around the old fortifications. Didn't go to far into the tunnels as we did not have our flashlights with us, and were not to sure how long the cell phone light would last. Thanks for the fun virtual and for keeping it going for all these years.

On the way to Sydney we saw the sign for the Fleet Air Arm Museum, so decided to go see it. We stopped here for the cache along the way. TFTC
Stopped here on the way to Sydney. Took the walk around the edge to one of the view platforms for a great view of the falls. TFTVC
After spending the night in Batemans Bay, we came over to Wasp Head to find a few earth caches. It was a great day for walking about - sunny, not to hot, with just a little wind. Thanks for the earth cache and the information it gives us about the area.
Stopped for a picnic lunch at the nearby tables. While we were eating we watched some firefighters see how fast they could connect two lengths of hose and follow water. They must be practicing for a competition. Once they finished up and left, we went to look for the cache. Found the lid, but think the rest is at the bottom. TFTC
After seeing the number of favorites, we decided to stop here for a look. Made a quick find. I have not seen a hide like this before. TFTC
06-Apr-18
On our way from Gundagai to Batemans Bay, stopping for a few caches. TFTC
Worked on this for a while, but were unable to come up with the number. Enjoyed the area, and the concept of the virtual.
Made a quick find of the cache, but did not see any of the goats or alpacas. TFTC
On our way into town, we stopped to complete this virtual. Made the walk onto the bridge. Was a bit surprised at how much it bounces, especially the center lift section when a truck drives by. Spent a few minutes looking at the boats in the harbor, then headed off to find our hotel. TFTVC
When we got to the area there was a group of muggles having lunch nearby. Fortunately the cache was out of their sight, so we made a quick find. Nice views from up there. TFTC
Had a lot of fun at this cache. After getting the needed info, we spent some time looking at all the dinosaurs on display. Thanks for the earth cache.
Had a fun time at this virtual learning about some of the folk stories. Catzilla and I stopped by here and mailed the required postcard, then sailed back to the US on a cruise about a week later. Some how between the lack of internet on the ship, and catching up with everything once we got back to the US, I missed logging the cache! So here I am, nearly two months after stopping at the virtual, getting around to logging it. TFTVC

Stopped here while on the way south. Thanks for teaching this yank some of Australia's history. TFTC
