Saw this one come up in a forum.. Couldn't resist.
I wish I was 6585 miles closer.
We're still out here.... Just using virtual machines and telnet to get around after retiring our modems Cool

Yep! C-MNM decided to see if we could find a cache in both AU and US on the same calendar day. We did it!

While on our way to drop off the hire car, we stopped by here first. Nicely deployed! Sorry there were no TB's for us to carry over the pond but we did manage to pick up a few.

WOW~!

We sure over estimated THIS one.. We worked our way up the hil from the car parked below and even spooked a big brown snake. Lucky for us, it was just as shocked as we were as it took off in a hurry! Anyway, being a bit more careful, C-MNM and I neared GZ... only to realize we were right on top of it! Well, maybe 15 meters above it? D'oh!!! Ok.. No problem.. Back on down a trail that we found and managed our way to a different approach where C-MNM managed to zoom right on in for a quick find.

Given the area, experience and the D/T, I'm going to give this one a favorite! I wish we had more time to explore more caches like these but we're leaving tomorrow Sad

What a cool beach! Would love to visit here on a sunny day.

TFTH!

If only this wasn't a rainy day. Bummer we're headed back to California tomorrow.

TFTH!

Didn't make it to the Lagoon today as we were trying to stay dry but we made quick work of the geocache!

TFTH!

As C-MNM and I arrived at GZ, she was totally distracted by the pile of nearby Scallop shells. Big Grin Sure made it easy for me to make the find!

TFTH!

Well Heck! So would I! Where's the Oyster Shack??? Wink

TFTH!

Very cool little area! Nicely hidden too. C-MNM found it quickly but that sure could have been a challenge!

I think I hear Japan!!!!

Yep.. Coords are off but it's still a fairly easy find.

TFTH!

Quick little pull over and find. Sorry to say that the container cannot be sealed though.

TFTH!

Oh geez.. Doesn't Patrick know? I bet he ran off with the Squirrel again...

Indeed! I had solved several puzzles for our AU/Tas trip but we really had to reel in my mission so we could actually see the country. Fortunately, we managed to find ourselved within a resonable distance to take a peek at this one. C-MNM and I had a very nice time at GZ! Lots of traces of Wallaby but they must have all hit the bush for the day.
This seemed like a very appropriate location to release a TB of ours before heading back to the US tomorrow.

Thanks for a good puzzle and a fun hide location!

Amazing!!! As I was logging this one, a Leech fell out of my pants!! Whoo!! I've been Leeched!
Hey!! C-MNM got one too but hers already fell off - who knows where.

Making memories Big Grin

Donkey?

I mean really! Of course the dogs were all excited but at least the donkey came over for a scratch. C-MNM sure liked that!

First, a thank you to Darknstormy for the permission to log as our answers were a bit off due to existing conditions at GZ.

Funny, yesterday, C-MNM and I drove down to Cottle Creek for a couple of caches and on our way back to Hobart, we could easily see to top of the mountain on an amazingly clear day. Today however, that all changed - but we're only here for a couple of days! So.. What the heck! We went for it. She and I have a little geocaching motto "We're not going to let a little RAIN stop US are WE?" Well, living true to that motto, we drove on up to the top of the mountain with this Earthcache and the nearby Virtual as our primary goals. Unfortunately for us, the shelter at GZ was closed and nearly gutted!! However thanks to the ECO's kindness and willingness to work with us to get the correct information, we are allowed to log our visit.

Let's all hope the shelter is returned to its former glory in the near future. Maybe with a heater even? Wink

Anyway, even though the mountain was a wind tunnel and pressure wash of freezing rain, we had a blast and wandered all over the rocks. Perhaps one day in the future we will be able to make the near 8000 mile trip again for another view of the land of Tasmania.

Thanks for placing this one and for allowing us to log given the circumstances.

Wow.. This one took far more time to figure out where to park than it did to actually make the find (We've seen many of these).

Signed in quickly, admired the nearby 67 Stang and then hit the road.

Hmmm... looked all about GX but nothing... Sad

I'll never forget that first AC/DC album I got when it hit the states.. Wore the heck out of it! Sadly, one day my brother left the Garage door open (that's where I would play my LP's) and the sun warped the heck out of it and some others...
Then came the fateful day the Bon died. I was fortunate enough to be at Monsters of Rock back in '79 to see him tour with Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Frank Marino and St. Paradise. Angus even kicked me in the head while he was carried about the croud during the show.

Ok.. Enough memories.. On to the cache. What a great location! We love cemetery hides and have visited hundreds but this one was unique!! All those displaced headstones!! To make a park?? I LOVE Tasmania!

Great spot to start a TB's journey.

TFTH!

Wow.. How did this one allude us for as long as it did??? C-MNM and I searched high and low for several minutes amongst scores of Muggles but nothing.. Then I just stood back and looked again... D'oh!! It was right there!

TFTH!

Whew! Sure glad it was rainy today! We would hate to try for this one when the kids are running amok Wink
TFTH!

Cool little fishing access sopt! Too bad we have such a short time to cache before flying back to SFO...

Nice spot for a cache! Also nice to see such a well stocked cache too. We didn't have a CD to swap but we did drop some coinage and a trackable.

TFTH!

Yet another Cemetery hide! I just LOVE these! So much history...
Thanks for luring us here!

Bummer... Looked and are certain of the cords but nothing at the expected spot that matched the hint Sad

C-MNM and I dropped by today with hopes of dropping some travellers but the container was empty of TB's going anywhere yet still had some in inventory. Thinking that it may have been Muggled, we opted to not send any on their journey from here...
Perhaps another cache...

TFTH!

"Bang your head into the stage like you've never done before!"
"Make it bleed, Make it hurt, make it really sore..."

Damn.. I used to LOVE going to the Stone on Broadway (SF) when Metallica was in town. They were just a garage band back then but they had that sound we craved. Not even Slayer, Death Angel, Witch or even Bacchus (Sorry Mattchu) had that sound. Bummer that they sold out with Enter Sandman.

In any case, It took a bit to dig this one up but the hint did actually help a tad.

TFTH and the awesome memories..

Quick find when there's no one looking. C-MNM had it in hand before I even looked away from the GPS.

TFTH!

This looks like it would be a fun trail to explore! Sorry we're only here for another day. Quick find and we're off up the mountain.

TFTH!

Cool little spot! C-MNM and I dropped on in while on our way to the top of Mt. Wellington.
Quick find and all is well!

TFTH!

This one took us a bit. Coords had us on the wrong side of the driveway but expanding out made a difference.

TFTH!

Views alright! What an awesome spot to view the area!
Funny.. C-MNM and I walked right past the cache only to turn around and "D'oh!"

TFTH!

Interesting little spot! We drove right up for a fairly quick find but in a place that did not match the D/T rating. Definately not wheelchair accessible (1x1) but easy enough for us agile old-timers..

TFTH!

Just a quick find and a short break before moving on to the next. Looks like we've been following behind another cacher today.

TFTH!

Let'em come! If it means that we get to geocache in an awesome location like this?? What a blast! Before and after the find, C-MNM and I really enjoyed exploring the area and chasing scores of bunnies! This one earned a favorite for the location for sure.

Not much of a view today! Some serious weather coming in... If only we had visited yesterday.

Here's a pic of Cheryl-MuggleN0More from my camera... Maybe she'll be so kind to upload a pic of me from hers? Wink

TFTV~

Wow! C-MNM must have really distracted me - Although I found the cache, I not only forgot to have her beam it to my GPS, I forgot to even ask her!
Nice quick find after a mocha down the road a bit and we're now off up the mountain!

Sorry, no trackable in this one...

Cool spot! Must be an awesome place after a good rain.

Sure was quiet alright! C-MNM and I love geocaching in locations like this where we can learn (or speculate) about the past.

What an awesome spot!! We had just come up from the opposite side of the bay and were just as amazed at the views!! Thank you for luring us to this awesome spot. Earned a favorite. Will upload pics later...

Funny... C-MNM and I ended up here after making several wrong turns... Ok.. so we're from the US.. We drive on the wrong side of the road Wink

Anyway. strolled on over for a quick find and we're back on down the road.

TFTH!

This was the reason we drove down from Hobart today. We're visiting from California for only a few days and we wanted to see how far south we could possibly go in the limited time we have and this was it! Being from the 'northern' hemisphere, anything below the equator can be a challenge but today we broke our records!! C-MNM and I had a very nice drive to GZ and had a lovely chat with the docent who nodded us on with a wink. Sweet! Off we go for a quick find and then off to see about some beached whale down the way.

Thanks for luring us down to this amazing area!

Ok... THIS, YES, THIS!

This is what made the drive out worth it. What an amazing location! The weather was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better day to visit such a beautiful place. Thank you so much for placing this one! If not for this geocache, we would have never seen this location. Awesome! A favorite for the location for sure.

Will add some pics later..

Solved this one a few weeks ago while preparing for our first over-seas vacation.. It took us a while to figure out the correct access as the GPS's were acting up a tad but we managed. After the find, C-MNM and I took a short stroll on the beach for some amazing views of the city. A favorite for the location and the puzzle. Thanks for luring us here!

At the airport waiting for our Hobart connector flight. C-MNM pulls up CGEO and we're out the door! Walked on over for a quick find and made it back with plenty of time to grab a snack.
Thanks for the hide! Our first in Victoria. (And only for a while anyways)

Heck Yeah! We can dig it! We can even find a geocache once in a while. Fun hike to GZ before heading back up north.

Why this EC is not a 5T, I may never know but we made it! C-MNM and I are in from California for a bucket list tour of some awesome 'Down Under' locations. The weather today wasn't the most favorable but the trip was not cancelled so we went for it!!

It was a blast snorkeling in the rain but the winds and tidal action made for a slightly hazy reef. None the less, this was an amazing adventure!

Picture of C-MNM & Zop coming shortly.

Only DNF of the day. Of course, we had Muggles watching on so we really didn't try too hard.

Always nice to see clever camo while out caching. C-MNM spotted this one right off.

TFTH!

Another quick find once we found GZ.. Out taking a nice long walk along the coast.

TFTH!

Staying nearby at an Air B&B with some woman I met geocaching Wink and decided to take a walk along the beach for a few caches. This was our first stop and our first Geocache in the area!

TFTH from USA!
