During our Mexico Trip we stayed for a couple days in a cool cabana nearby in Xpu Ha.
Since the day started a little rainy, we began with a nice fish-pedicure at the Cenote Cristallino. When the skies cleared up a bit, we decided to hop over to see Tulum. Even though there are lots of people if you are not absolutely early in the morning, we were compensated with the sightings of an eagle, a cute little squirrel, lots of iguanas and a horde of Coaties.
And of course the Zona Archeologica is a spectacular sight to see by itself!
Thanks for luring us here and saludos desde Alemania,

The final cache in Western Australia - and a "grande finale" it was!
We, that is Zauberkeks and Cacheaffairs, enjoyed a 4 week trip from Darwin to Perth and would like to express our thanks to all cache owners for the learning experience and the awesome views and places!
With our rented Landcruiser with roof tent, we spent a lot of time in nature on the way down south and also the weather report for Perth region was let's call it "suboptimal" for the longest time. So we ended up with practically no time left for this city. However, we did manage to visit Kings Park -- and that was definitely a good decision! We simply loved the park! We were able to walk along a lot of flora of regions that we had visited along our way, we climbed the DNA tower, found the views over the Swan River and the city of Perth to be phenomenal and the cache location is quite amazing!
I guess for the rest of Perth we'll just have to come back some day!
Thanks for luring us here and greetings from Germany,
Zauberkeks
P.S.: Considering your nick, I attached some cruiser pics

Rottnest Island was a must on my list of places to visit ever since I found out about the Quokkas!
We spent the night at Yanchep NP and got going very early in the morning to catch the ferry out of Hillarys Boat Harbour. Starting in bright sunshine the weather worsened the closer we came to the island and until midday it felt more like the North Sea rather than the Indian Ocean...
But, thank God, the weather cleared up and we spent the rest of the day in bright sunshine! We did not manage to really see everything in one day -- so, I guess, we'll have to come back some day...
But what we did get to see was simply wonderful!!! Quokkas, 3 Osprey nests with the old ones feeding their young, several King Skinks, loads of sea lions and the breathtaking scenery with the turquoise waters of the ocean! Gotta luv it!
As we came close to the GZ a King Skink hurried away from the cache -- I assume, that must have been the cache keeper!
And what a cache that is -- big Fav point for that one!

When we started our day at Rottnest Island, we first took the bus to Henriettas Rocks (looked for the cache, but did not spot anything...). From there we walked along the street and the little walk path to the bench on top of one of the dunes. Too bad the view of Purpoise Bay was not perfect due to the cloudy weather at the time.
Next destination Parker Point -- here we got "busted" by a caching "Ranger" despite stealth mode (ha,ha, cachers recognize fellow cachers a mile away ) -- we then ended up accompanying her for the Informative Ranger Walk over to Salmon Bay. As of this time the skies started to clear up and we had lots of Quokka encounters here!

We stayed at Cervantes in order to visit the Pinnacles at sunset and sunrise -- too bad it was pretty cloudy during those times... But nevertheless an absolutely remarkable place! We spent a lot of time here -- took the walks and the drive twice -- those bizarre formations with the Indian Ocean in the background... Breathtaking! And we encountered some wild life as well!
Thanks again for placing this cache and greetings from Germany,

Sadly, we found the remnants of this cache at the bottom of a tree. Since we did not have any other suitable container with us, we placed the logbook in an empty salad plastic box (see pics) -- however, this is not really an appropriate container and should probably be exchanged soon.
Nevertheless, we spent so much time with the Koalas and the Kangaroos, that we ended up spending the night at the local campground.

On the search for some wildflowers, we heard about the Everlastings in Coal Seam and off we went! Great park! I really wish we would have had more time to spend here -- next time we'll definitely stay here and do some hiking! But even the short track to GZ was pretty spectacular!

We had just made out the cache location, when a group of people (amongst them robroy_co and magpie51 -- greetings!) aproached us. We immediately switched on stealth mode, but then we noticed the GPS devices and instead had a little international caching event with a phantastic view.

We made it to the Pinnacles just in time for sunset but incoming clouds spoiled the lighting for photography fast -- however, they also remarkably reduced the amount of muggles... So in the end, an easy find and log!

Kalbarri was a great place to visit -- we checked out a lot of the little view points along the ocean -- and the view from up here was absolutely stunning!
All of a sudden I realized some fountain spray in the far distance. So I got the binoculars and kept watching.... and YES!!! Whales passing through!!! Right when I am sitting here! COOOOOOL!!!
(Funny thing is, that I only made the connection between the lookout/cache name and what I had just witnessed quite a bit later.... )

We visited the Hamelin Pool during low tide and were simply awed by the thought of the length of time these tiny creatures have been around. Puts your own place in life a little in perspective! What a pristine place!!!
Another treat were the cute Welcome Swallows which even posed for pictures.

We decided to first try Millstream instead of Karijini -- and guess what -- the best decision we could have made!!! We loved the area! Even though the Snappy Gum Drive was closed, we explored the back road to the Fortescue River Crossing, enjoyed great views from the cliff, wandered the lovely grounds of the homestead, were delighted by lots of wildlife and huge flocks of Corellas, and in the end were very pleased with a cooling swim in the Deep Reach Pool!

Gantheaume Point definitely was one of those PHENOMENAL locations! Here we were entertained by crested pigeons in "spring mode" -- a very busy pigeon cock wooing and courting a lot of pigeon girl-hens -- quite the show!

Purnululu was absolutely phenomenal!
We camped here for two nights and enjoyed all the different locations a lot! Echidna Chasm, Mini Palm Gorge, Katherine Gorge, Chapel Gorge and of course the famous beehives.

Purnululu was absolutely spectacular (although hot as hell )
We stayed at both campgrounds for a night and enjoyed the hikes into Echidna Chasm, little Palm Gorge and of course Cathedral Gorge, Chapel Gorge and the Beehives! Simply PHENOMENAL!
A really funny event was, when I had to use the bathroom in the dark.... Just check out the pictures....

Keep River was one of these spectacular locations! I tend to say, that this was my favorite NP of the entire trip. We saw plenty of birds at the lagoon (especially spoon bills)! We stayed here for two nights and did the Jarnem Walk in the morning and the Goorandalng Walk in the late afternoon -- and they were simply gorgeous!!! What a place! Practically a combination of little Bungles and lost cities with indigineous paintings and all... and we were practically alone!
Don't miss this place when you are in the vicinity!
Awesome place!!! Definitely a FAV-Point for these breathtaking two days!!! (too bad you can only give one...)

This border cache was one of these special places! We had already cleaned our car of all dirt, seeds and fresh fruit and vegetables... and the border guy was really nice with a map of Kununurra and all sorts of recommendations...

Judbarra/Gregory NP was one of these spectacular locations! Although too late during the day, thus too hot for the escarpment walk, we used the Joe Creek Picnic Area nearby to admire the area and enjoy the views and the Livinstonia Palm from the valley.

Victoria River and Roadhouse was one of these great locations! We walked across the new bridge and came back across the old bridge -- it really shows you what water is capable of doing!
