Logs for Aliens

20-Jul-24
Thank you for the cachers who renewed this traditional cache . Grand kids have filled the cache with treasures for future encounters!

06-Aug-16
Geocache was in a bad state we last did maintenance in 2005!
Put in a temporary cache and will restock the original soon. The log book that goes back to 2003 needs to dry out.
Live long and prosper.

31-Oct-12
Found this though raining at the time and had to sit and have a beer in a nearby cafe until dry enough.
The Cache may have been raided only two coins in the container.
Dropped in the travel Bug
Happy Halloween

There is a lot of litter and crap around the area and lots of foul doggy bags ......probably should be relocated

13-Oct-12
Found by Aliens and team Indo, Took the travel Bug as we are off next week ....stay tuned

13-Oct-07
Aliens Find Neptune
TNLN

14-Aug-05
Routine check and left some pens, embarrasingly delivered a travel bug that we had abducted for a year! Sorry earthlings.

24-Jun-04
Aliens may be found nearby and in the general vicinity.
Close encounters

05-Jun-04
A great find but alas we had no costume jewelery to add, so took nothing left nothing
A nice drive after a disappointing Buckleys

Thanks Mocca,
Nice to find a cache where it was meant to be and a great set of clues to find it.
Took the toy gyro and left a 3m tape measure

23-May-04
The Aliens descended in broad daylight stole the lowgrade earthling technology (apache phantom fighter)and left withoutdrawing attention.

14-May-04
A great day and a good view. Also worth the walk upward and laterally to look at the horizon. Be warned the Topographic 1:25,0000 has the track incorrectly placed and really should be semi ignored.

04-May-04
A nice easy one thankyou, only difficulty was getting the cache between bus loads of school kids.
Left a blow up alien for the Geo-kids.
Aliens

01-May-04
We found it at these co-ordinates. A great day and a great walk though the track is not well marked. Hopefully we have have completed the tasks to there fullest and await our results. We will log them of course so if we are truly ADAG all will know.
By The way Pop has been abducted by aliens and they have returned to earth millie the echidna

30-Apr-04
Spent two hours over lunch looking for this cache. The coordinates are for the cairn of rocks on top of summit.(even removed some of these to see if inside). Perhaps further clues or another set of co-ordinates required to get closer to the cache. Very disappointed.

Found by Aliens and though put in the log that one of our number was left in the cache. However I found him hiding in the pocket of my human suit back on the mothership. Whoops. Will try again some other time.

24-Apr-04
This is our third attempt at a multi cache and the first to be successful. The day was perfect though we got to the grass trees quite late, we planned to do 2-3 cache in the hills but unfortunately due to wrong turns, flat batteries in GPS.
I think we deserve another award for witnessing the strangest site (remember we are aliens).A coach load of people(yes a bus, 47 seater) turned up and did the grass tree walk....Formally attired most drinking red wine out of crystal glasses(cab shiraz I think). Some wearing kilts !
I guess it was ANZAC day and things get a little stranger than most.

Thanx Guys I did not make KMC2004 this year however took the family to KEC2004 and took the opportunity to do a few caches a couple of days after that. Remember 1Peter 2:11
( we left an alien as our signature.)
Keep up the good work.

Thanx guys for a good location one that we would not have found without the search for a geocache. Left the alien as our signature

Took the easy way out and walked the short distance down the track. A great day out my daughter took charge of the photography and did not trust us with tha camera on the climb however I think this still qualifies.

15-Apr-04
Well what can I say
Two paths to take on the way and took the wrong one. Therefore bush bashed down 450 metres of fight to get to the mine. Found the mine, the track, the visitors book and the track out of the area. However did not find wp2. Spent 1 1/2 hrs looking for ledges and I would hazzard a guess we searched every where in a 30 metre radius including the cliff face. Sorry guys but can you check to see if it is still there and whether it will need a change of location.
Thanx for the history, the mine but heck it really is a dissappointment to get so close.

17-Jul-03
Found after a 90 metre abseil (the Long way round really)The cache was again very wet but the zip lock bag seemed to be working. Took a stubby cooler and gave to a friend left a green volkswagon (its amazing where you can park a little car)
Thanx again

24-Apr-03
First one found in the Blue Mountain Area. The Aliens had a little bit of difficulty in being inconspicuous between Easter and Anzac Day. The Cache was in good condition though was 10m SE of Grey Gum Tree. Took the slinky and left a greenback that we had found in a cache in Queensland.

08-Mar-03
As others have done before we approached from the high side and had to bush bash to get down to it. Well hidden and in good nick. Found with the help of the Saint and Sinner.
Pulled out the GPS at the Katoomba Mens Conference, a great weekend and a great walk for lunch.

07-Mar-03
A great site guys
Thanks for putting the cache at somewhere interesting but not well advertised. The Aliens took the Saint and Sinners and this was our second cache for the day.

Great cache
Perfect shape container and great how you got nature to carve out the perfect receptacle to house it. 3rd cache for the day with the Saint and Sinner. Exchaged a Gospel for a pair of binoculars.
Thanx again

09-Feb-03
A great walk and a good find. I have done the Split Rock circuit three times and never been to the top. The National Park was a bit sad as the local roo population have mowed the vegetation to bare earth. Spoke to the lady in the info bay about the dreadful state of the remaining roos, I think the RSPCA has a case if they would like to prosecute as farmers would certainly be prosecuted if they let their stock starve to death. She stated that approx half had probably died already.
Sad Really but a good cache
I bought a stubbie holder (genuine souveneir type) from the helpful lady and left it in the cache making it well worth the walk for the next cacher
Thanx again.

08-Feb-03
Nice drive up from Gunnedah, The lookout and the cooler temperature was well worth it. The cache was in good nick and well hidden. Exchanged a little treasure box for the WD40 (always handy)
Thanx again Geomonkeys very enjoyable

02-Feb-03
Found at approx 3 pm by The Aliens and Pipped again by Howy Agoin (he gets around) Great site for a cache but took us awhile to find. Took the coffe coaster and left a flouro retractable tape measure. A very chilly afternoon but very pleasurable find. Thanx again Ebenezer and Hecta

A great afternoon with the kids and thanx Ebenezer and Hecta. Unfortunately pipped to be first by Howy Agoin(strange name?) Swapped Aldo Nova Guitar for Frank Sinatra (we Win). Our GPS went flat while running over to it however the kids still saw it from 50 meters perhaps this cache needs to be burried. Covered it with leaf litter but may come off in the wind.
Thanx again

24-Jan-03
2nd find for the day, my kids found it from the clues. Lovely view and nearby good coffe. Took the Magic crystal tree and left the WD40.
Thanx

The Aliens have returned the Moose to Earth in less than 24 hrs and have proven the Moose knows nothing and the invasion plans have to wait. On the other hand we found the cache is more accesible from the South and is only a two kilometre meander from this direction. Unfortunately it was a hot Australia Day weekend and the car parks were all full from the North.
Nobody mentioned having to traverse a nudist beach on the way out, does that get a five star for difficulty.
Great location and thanx for the cache

Aliens have abducted your moose, we will soon learn all your secrets. He will enjoy an off world experience while we suck his intelligence dry and then dispose of him at a distant site.

03-Jan-03
Big Grin First to find. Thankyou for the first geocache in the area. A nice drive after the rain and we appreciate your provision of amenities near the site. Cache was in an excellent condition. Took the pink candle and left the can of WD40 (aromatherapy for a mechanic). Look forward to more local caches.

13-Oct-02
A great walk, with nice views of the lake and a good nature trail. The box as people have mentioned was damaged but the tape was holding up though still very damp inside. The Ziplock bag has worked at keeping out the water from its log and treasures. Took a flat tennis ball and left a combination padlock
A nice walk

08-Oct-02
Very Clever Cache. I walked passed it several times before I realised it had to be where you could not get a GPS reading under the cliff. I had just finished the Illinbah Circuit and walked back down the cliff to find the cache and every time I got close the satelites would drop out and I was using an external antenna. Counted the thirty metres in the right direction, very tired and disillusioned, went for the muesli bar and water and listened to a storm coming across the valley, started to rain and turned around to find I had sat beside it for 15 minutes. Took the George Washington Greenback and left a 3meter flourescent tape measure. Very Clever cache.
Cheers

17-Jul-02
Good Clues and a nice find an enjoyable view of the bird sanctuary when we went the wrong way.
Unfortunately sprung by the rangers and so very hurriedly rehidden Could the next visitor put everything back in plastic bag.

Well Done
Used the new GPS with the inbuilt compass and went straight to the point. A beautiful day and a nice walk from the bottom carpark. Cache was well covered. Thanks for the Hints
Left a fish scaler and took the yo yos

15-Jun-02
Found by the Parsons Family on a cold rainy leechless winter day. It took us twenty minutes of bush bashing to find it. Still well concealed and pretty clean. Swapped the duct tape for a retractable hobby knife. My GPS was very affected by the trees even with an external antenna, though I think that was half the fun (stomping around only to find my daughter was standing on it)
Thanks David for an excellent first time cache,
