Logs for EcoTeam

09-Jul-24
Easy find in the most obvious location. Didn't know these rings existed, very interesting, thanks!

21-Apr-24
Put Ecoteam down for a tentative yes!Should EcoNic wear the wonder woman outfit?

07-Oct-23
Easy find with the family. Thanks.

Easy find. Log book pretty full and a bit crumpled. Thanks

Nice easy cache with the family. Nicely maintained bush. Saw a lovely Waratah. Thanks.

03-Sep-23
Tricky find. Logbook completely soaked. Not in good condition, can't write in it.
Enjoyable find with the family on Father's Day. Thanks.

29-Jun-22
Had to walk the megalong road as it was closed. Nice hide, the kids and us had fun, thanks.

Easy find, nice lookout we didn't know about. Has a new log book.

Nice Nano. Kids enjoyed the puzzle.
Had to use a king parrot as a rosella though after hunting on the wrong side of the obvious GZ general area.

22-Aug-21
Had a go but the coords were outside the bush. Several caching trails turned up nothing. Very scrubby.

Found this one literally lying in the open in the creek. I can see how it could easily slide out of its hidey spot. Tried to wedge it back in.

Nice area, easy find except for the spider, thanks.
Left electrical tape.

20-Aug-21
Great camouflage but it didn't fool Eco Hux! Had us scrambling for a few minutes but excellent hide and find. Thanks for another good one!

Easy find not far from home. Great traditional cache container, thanks!

01-Aug-21
Easy find for EcoHuxley

Easy find even with muggles meters away.

Easy classic, thanks.

Easy find, thanks.

Tried ask the trees but didn't find anything. And way to many muggles so abandoned this one.

Easy find, thanks.

Great hide! Thanks.
For others, cache is not at coords, read description.

Great hide! Thanks

23-Jun-21
Great location!
Just a short walk from our weekender cottage. Found by 6yo EcoHuxley

Great fun find with the boys, thanks!

Searched with the geokids, couldn't find it. No luck with stumps or rocks.

22-Jun-21
Forgot a pen, so took photo of the log. Big memories here finding one almost 20 years ago, and my photo holding up the cache made it on the front cover a magazine.

Great view! We love this track. Staying at our weekender in Blackheath. Thanks

29-Mar-20
First to log the new book. Thanks.

You certainly need to come prepared for extraction on this one.
Thanks.

09-Jan-20
Found this with Zijerfex.
Wasn't in the usual expected spots!
Thanks.

01-Sep-19
Well, yep, it lived up to it's name!
Had a good look for 20min down in the gully but nothing.

Had a good look in the obvious crevices but no luck.

This isn't the right date, but found this ages ago so am back logging it.

15-Oct-18
Dropped the EEVcoin!
Better late than never.

I wouldn't say a simple cache to find for beginners. It uses a classic hiding technique that's not exactly that known to beginners.
That being said we found it pretty quick, my first cache of this type was in 2002 :->
Thanks, this one is pretty close to my lab!

13-Aug-17
Easy find whilst here with the kids.

12-Aug-17
This classic cache from August 2002 has now been restored and it back in action!
Photo log of the first finder, the (in)famous Ideology!

01-Aug-17
Thanks everyone, I have the co-ords now and will be replacing the infamous first waypoint within the next week and will get this 15 year old cache back in action!
I think it's something like the 3rd or 4th oldest cache left in NSW?
Stay tuned.

Hi All
EcoDave, owner of the cache here.
I plan on fixing this cache up as it's an old classic in the community.
However because we haven't been caching for many years, we have embarrassingly lost the final co-ords!
Could a previous finder who has the final cache co-ords please email me at [email protected]
I could probably find it from memory, but I'd rather not!
Thanks
Dave.

25-Apr-17
EcoTeam are still caching after 16 years! This time with Sagan & Huxley joining the hunt. Cane the long scenic way for this one. Thanks

EcoTeam are back! 16 years and still going...

30-Jun-16
EcoTeam are back in the caching business with another find.
Easy find for Sagan
Thanks.

Anyone caching back in Sydney 15 years ago might remember EcoTeam, well, we're back!
Sagan's first find at 5yo.
Thanks.

3 out of 3 for Sagan in 30 minutes.
Thanks.

06-Oct-10
EcoTeam formally refute the claim of said GeoMonkey. Our's is the only accurate photo of the actual cache in existence.
The GeoMonkey's are known charlatans, caution is advised.

11-Jul-10
After hearing about the stories of this cache at the Geocaching 101 meeting, and how it could possibly be Sydney's hardest/sneakiest/trickiest cache with the biggest DNF ratio, EcoDave & EcoNic decided to come out of retirement, put fresh batteries in the eTrex Yellow and headed off.
Found in a split second in the obvious spot.

Nano? We were expecting something much smaller!

Thanks
EcoDave & EcoNic
Back onto the shelf into semi-retirement...

Great turnout, I hope everyone enjoyed my 45 minute random ramble about "the good'ol days"
For those that missed it I should have the video up Youtube soon.

EcoDave.

I have uploaded the full presentation video here:

(HD version available)
With the original slides overlayed. So if you didn't see the slides properly on the day now it might have some more context.

Umm, guess I'd better turn up to this one!
Death-by-Powerpoint time!
EcoDave.

08-Apr-10
EcoDave & EcoNic will dust off the old trusty eTrex yella and make a special guest appearance in our Ideology Hats.
Who's bringing the Freddo's?
