TFTC!!! Another perfect day in Captain's Flat. This time I took some friends over to the Flat to visit my good old friend 'Buffalo' from YESTERYEAR MOTORCYCLES. After having had a cuppa and fixing Natalie's bike, we decided to have a go on 'The Trig and a Cave'. So the six of us jumped in the back of the mighty Pajero and made our way up to the trig. It's a really nice drive, which sometimes feels like being in a rollercoaster. 4WD with plenty of ground clearance recommended. 2WD also possible, just takes longer. Good fun. Once there, we started looking for the cave, which we found around 10min later going through dense and rocky bush. Cache was easy to find, the oil can is still there. Wonder who had put in the effort to bring a full 5 liter can of oil up here????? Members of the group were: HARLEY-WR (German-Chris), BUFFALO (Chris), Erik (Buff's Kid), Yasmin, Natalie and Jason as well as TB 444502 'BUKKI THE BEAVER', who got kidnapped from Canada to New Zealand and is now making his way back to Canada. Photos will follow as soon as I'm back in Germany.

P.S.: If you visit the Flat and plan to seek the cache, go and see BUFFALO (Chris) and say hello from German-Chris. He is a really unique Aussi bloke and might be happy to assist you in your search as well as he knows so much about this area to give you nice introduction. Also the first address if you plan to restore your Pre-1970 Harley Davidson. BUFF is specialised in WLA's.

Also visit the Outsider's Cafe in town after you've done the cache! Good Art and perfect food. Cache 'Kelly's last stand' is close by.

The four of us couldn't find it on the coordinates given. Nice ride to location anyway.

Finally found it! This is a really good cache! Thx for the work you put in.

Another really nice spot close to Captain's Flat. Just opposite the old tracks, on the other side of the river is a nice spot where Wombats hang around. We saw a really big fellow, who seemed to be quite relaxed. Cache was an easy find. As you access via fire tracks, make sure you do not bring your posh car. TFTC. Photos will follow.

Took me a moment longer to find, as I were looking somewhere else. Really nice hide, thx for that one Wink

Another nice one in an beautiful environment! Red Tag was getting tired though. Cheers.

Went there with Red Tag! Took as a while as well as approaching other standings in the area before we finally found it. Had to make Red Tag fly in order to get it. That is a really good one. Thx for that. Big Grin

A nice and easy one but never the less good! Make it more slimy. Wink

What a nice setup. Really enjoyed this park with its waterfeatures. Well chosen. Easy pick and straight to the next one close by. Without Red Tag, I would have been lost though. Wink

Red Tag and I found this happy cache quite easy although the coordinates seemed to be out of line!!!

TFTC! Another nice day out with Red Tag. Luckily though as she was the one to find it!!! Wink

Found this cache damaged!!!Cache still there, but empty, lid was on the ground. TFTC

Must admit... Red Tag is right! TFTC

Micro and easy one! Thx for that!

Nice quick one! Thx a lot.

IDEM! I join in with the statements of "The S's" and "Red Tag". Nothing there. [B)]

What else can I say? Red Tag seems to be always faster in logging. TFTC. Wink

Smile Really like the people who put some effort into the caches and hiding places. This one suited the environment just perfect. Red Tag did a nice jump though Big Grin

Yep, the last one!!! Let's go for a drink Red Tag!!!! Wink TFTC

I wanted to do this one as my second, but once there I could not find the cache. My colleague operated the GPS at that time, but today it was a really nice find. I liked the clue a lot and it only became obvious after having found it. Cheers, Wink

Good fun! TNLN, TFTC Smile

A nice and easy find at a really nice spot. Thx Red Tag for joining in. Eh, the other way round. Big Grin

On a sunny on top of Mt. Ainslie is just perfect. This pretty much explains the high muggle population up here as well. With Red Tag covering the place it was an easy retrieval. Wink

Another one together with Red Tag. TFTC

Idem! See Red Tag. TFTC.

Big Grin Found this one with the help of Red Tag's Mister!!! Cheers guys.

Love the bush, a really nice spot where you put it! Cool

Picked up TB "Bukki the Beaver". Will give him a good run and finally will drop him off in "Good Old Germany" Wink. If someone wants to get hold of him, well have a nice trip to Berlin.

Muggle Alarm!!! Don't recommend to go on a Saturday afternoon. [B)]

First try around 3pm - heaps of male muggles playing with kid muggles and a funny looking egg. Came after dinner with some support from Red Tag (some, because she was yawning all the time). Result: we could not find it. [B)]

Thats quite a micro! Well done. Beautiful area but no views as it was dark already. Thx to Red Tag who brought the torch. Wink

Again no sign of any sort of life. Avoid rush hours! Nice smooth find. Thx a lot Smile

Nice spot in a nice park! The biggest veines Red Tag and I could find were about the size of my pointing finger. I'll attached the photos once I'm back in Berlin.

My second one!!! Took me a couple of minutes to find, but cleaned up all the other options around this area. Thx a lot for this one Wink

Smile Hehe!! That was a good one. Poor Red Tag!!!!!! No gardeners today. Straight in, looking important whilst wearing a suit. Got it, out again! Thx a lot for this one Fore.

Two trys, three people, two GPS. No finds. You might have to check it. [B)]

Really good fun trying to find this one! Nearly got run over by Choooo oooo, tooot toot! Thanks to Red Tag, who saved me from trespassing. Big Grin
