Sorry about the late notice but I forgot to log my visit! Nice afternoon, had some Latvian friends with me and they actually found the cache!

Gorgeous day and the area looked lovely..... dropped off Da Snoopy Bruddahs......

Nice day for a stroll around some of Christchurch's stately homes, in the company of another cacher.... very pleasant walk.

you're right about the views - spectacular!

Pretty little place, lots of history there.

Great day, sunny and warm, great company and lots of wild blackberries to eat!

Very interesting history - had no idea of the history there until today.

Had a great time, Moneydork hospitality wonderful as usual. Thanks folks.....

Great day, easy find but not time to call in for coffee - promise to do that another day. Took photo frame and left postit pad.....thanks....

02-May-04
Uplifted Inspector Gadget Travel Bug and left Birdbrain Travel Bug.... gorgeous warm sunny day - wearing too many clothes for the day but enjoyed visiting a really good friend in the area - always nice to spend time with your favourite people.......

01-May-04
Noted today that a travel bug was here so have liberated it - will move Birdbrain to an other location soon....

Great day for a walk and the wind had died down a little with no rain for the afternoon - gorgeous view - took tape measure but left nothing...............

great day - just while I was searching, hundreds of Canada Geese took off from the nearby feeding ground and flew just over my head, fascinating to watch them at close quarters forming into their v-flying profiles - and what a noise they made! Will never forget it.

10-Apr-04
Great sunny day after a very pleasant lunch with my best friend. A great way to end my visit today to this gorgeous part of the country.

Took nothing (left the travel bug for another cacher to find) and added a blue bear for luck.

The coordinates do seem to be out a bit but found it anyway.

09-Apr-04
Cool day, very pleasant although wet under foot. Found without difficulty using the GPS. Took nothing, left an owl.

Thanks.

Number three for the afternoon. Was easily found and took a badge and left a business card and an owl. Great hiding place.

Great Day - Number two for the afternoon (and only one hour to do all three). Very pleasant area and good hiding place. Took a whistle and left an owl.

21-Mar-04
On a mission with Team Moneydork who helped me find this one - I minded the kids (3 of) on the hillside and he clambered down ...... enough said, cache found and very happy people, on a very warm sunny day.... thanks......

Georgeous day - visiting the island with Moneydork team and some other muggles - had a great time and found two of the three on the island.
Thanks for the assistance, Moneydork, your help is much appreciated as always from a real learner!

20-Mar-04
Very warm day and a bit of a competition on the day for the event but thanks to some help from the very able Moneydork, the cache was found without anyone having to get wet! Though Moneydork was willing to do his duty in the water...........

Thanks

19-Mar-04
Great day and very warm weather. Great to watch some people (Moneydork!) take to the water so quick...... like a proverbial duck!

Thanks for a great day.

13-Mar-04
Found it while with other cachers - very pleasant weekend while at the Wild Food Festival - finally learned to use my GPS and will be merrily on my way to finding all the other local caches now!

Very nice weekend and fantastic bbq dinner! Thanks folks for the hospitality - pity I had to leave early due to the poor health of my driver!

16-Feb-04
Both Bayman and Koshka will be present both at The event cache and also the Wildfood Festival. Wayne, please check with your partner re accommodation for us. Pity your Mom and Dad can't be there too - would be a great family occasion! Looking forward to catching up with you and your family. - Carolyn

28-Dec-03
Found it on the second try - best to attempt on the right side of the land! Easy on second try though. Had my firefighter friend and my two Latvian friends along for the trip but I actually found it....... Took Harvey R Ball memento and left a carabiner light in its place. This makes no 11 for me and still can't afford a GPS.... but the first pay packet in the new year might have a sizeable dent in it, methinks!

Searched for ages but didn't find it - probably a tall order since I have not yet been financial enough to buy a GPS. But intend going back to have another look!

27-Dec-03
a very warm night with my two homestay students along for the ride - took badge and left a painter kiwi for the cache. Interesting cache and lovely view when on the seat to contemplate......................

Great night - took only a badge as nothing we had would fit. My two Latvian homestay students (Inga and Larissa, now firmly addicted to caching) were along for the ride. Warm windy summer night with a great view to be enjoyed and many sheep watching curiously as to what we were possibly doing!

24-Dec-03
Great cache and spectacular views on a warm summer evening with my two Latvian homestay students in tow. Larissa found the cache with Inga's help and my general assistance. Took fish and left a kiwi hairdresser.............

23-Dec-03
Nice evening to visit the cache.... on the day the big drama unfolded, I was in Nelson with my elderly grandmother visiting her seriously ill sister - the motel owner told us to turn on the TV and we sat in horror watching the events with mounting disbelief. Tonight I took a firefighter friend down to the park to "log the cache"......

I am new to this but would like to come if newcomers are definitely invited....... I will come fully self sufficient and look forward to learning heaps and meeting lots of other newbies........

Found it easily on a warm summer evening - the tide was in and the estuary looked almost good enough for a swim. Added a five cent coin from the pocket of my homestay student, Larissa, who has become hooked on geocaching. Nice cache, easy to find and a nice location too on a nice summer evening.

Gorgeous evening - found it quickly without GPS as I haven't got one yet..... took lipgloss and left a kiwi model......... What a gorgeous view - had a good friend along for the ride and also my two Latvian homestay students - they love geocaching too now.

22-Dec-03
Logged with permission - lovely night but a cold easterly blowing and was glad of my polar fleece jacket!

21-Dec-03
Found by my Latvian Homestay student with me - Her name is Larissa and she comes from Riga in Latvia. Took a party popper and left a dressed doll for company to the other figures that were there. Well hidden cache. Windy warm day - sea very rough and lots of parasurfers enjoying the wind.

19-Dec-03
Found it on a warm sunny day when the sandflies were out in force - took a Harvey R Ball tribute but left an angel bear to watch over the cache for the festive season.

02-Dec-03
This is my first cache. Found it without the GPS too.....
- pen, + 20c NZ coin.....
