Logs for Olly Oranges

16-Sep-09
Found this one after a long absence from geocaching with a Newbie first time geocacher while working close by to Marsden.
Newbie geocacher took monster pen lid thingy and left behind an NZ coin. Newbie was very impressed with geocaching and am sure that they will take up caching on a more regular basis.
TFTF.

Not where I thought initially, but soon had the cache in hand. TFTF.

This is another of my favourite places on the eastern shore. Great spot for a cache and stroll.

Used to come to this place all the time as a kid. Still love coming back here. What a great place. Thanks for giving me another excuse to return. TFTF.

Our first cache of the Christmas holiday season. Passing through on our way down to Victoria, a nice easy find. A traditional Scenic router cache. TFTF.

Mrs O and myself tried to locate this cache in October when over from NSW on holidays, but to no avail. Found immediately this morning, and found that we were about 20-30 metres off on our previous attempt due to a poor signal. A neat little cache. Thanks for the find Bear Left.

The lovely afternoon stroll to the cache was just the exercise we needed after an over indulgent lunch in gorgeous Fremantle. TFTF.

Found with a couple of members of the non-caching family who are quite excited about the prospect of a "treasure hunt".
Had a lot of muggle activity. Getting the cache out was ok, but I didnt think we were going to ever get it back. Thanks for the find.

Driving by on our way to Fremantle, a quick walk to ground zero and we had the cache in hand. TFTF.

My non-caching father was credited with this find. We've taken him on a couple of expeditions now, and I think he's getting into it. First of this type of cache we've come across. Thought it was brilliant. TFTF.

A lot of muggle traffic, but an easy find. Cache in good condition. Thanks suzukifreak_1.

A nice easy cache to drive up to. Thats how we like them. Thanks kirkster23.

A quick stop on the way to Bathurst, we found this one quite quickly near the tom thumbs. Im glad we did, the flies were unbearable. #50.

Nice easy find on our way back home. Thanks Scenic routers.

Found the cache quite easily and quickly. Parked up on the top of the hill and took a nice casual stroll down to GZ. Another great cache by the Smelly Boots. Thanks for bringing us to this location.

Nice easy find. Thanks suzukifreak_1.

A good hide from the Smelly Boot. Walked around, back and forth, over and through GZ for about twenty minutes before finally just the right bit of sunlight at the right angle on the right spot. Thanks again Smelly Boot.

Teamed up with Party of Penguins after a run around the lake and bbq on Sunday Morning. Didnt take long before Mrs O took the honours.

Found in a combined effort by Olly Oranges and Party of Penguins after a nice lunch at local Italian Restaurant Fiorinis. Was spotted first by Olly O but quickly grabbed by Ms Penguin. Took nothing, left 2 Swiss Francs. TFTC.

Another Smelly Boot Special. Thanks Smelly Boot. If you take the drive down to the end of Bakers Rd over the next couple of weeks you will see a large drill rig parked by the side of the road. They were just setting up when I went past, obviously looking for more sparkly stuff.

Something felt a bit weired about this one. Missus O stayed in the car while I made a quick find. Clever cache name though. TFTF.

This was one of the larger caches that we have discovered. Unfortunately we didnt have any bugs with us to drop off. Perhaps on our next visit to Canberra. TFTC.

Apologies for the poor drawing. I didnt realise this cache was a letter box cache. Was on a morning run and didnt have a stamp or sticker. Love the concept. Thanks for the Find Tealby.

Didnt find this one on my first pass, I think my coords were a bit out, but happended to stumble across this one by chance as I was jogging back down the hill. A real fluke actually. Even then I did a double take. Good little hide - Thanks Tealby.

Found on the way home back from Canberra at around 6pm on a nice clear warm evening. Walked back and forth past GZ on a number of occasions before finally landing the little fella. Nice hide President & First Lady.

Off on a morning jog. Staying close by with friends - Party of Penguins. Not too many flies out this morning decided to keep on jogging up the hill to see what other caches I could find. TFTC.

A quick easy find passing by on the way back home after a weekend in Canberra. Great day for caching. TFTF.

On the way to Canberra. Quick and easy find. Was where I thought it would be. Got a bit nervous climbing up and coming back down the bank on slippery gravel. TFTC.

We found this cache previously with our friends Jemmalong & Family and Party of Penguins prior to becoming official cachers. Now we can tick this one off officially. TFTF.

Our first completed multi, on our way from OJ to the nation's capital. Our first time to the historic POW camp. I love history caches. Thanks Biggles Bear. Was a bit disapointed to find that the cache had lost its Japanese theme somewhat.

Jamatane!!!

Mrs O found this one. Early morning walk through the park after a quick bite to eat on the way to Canberra. Cache was exposed pretty badly so we tried to camoflage it a bit better.
TFTF.

Found with one of the members of Party of Penguins.
We never knew that this place was here, or that it existed.
Thanks for the history lesson and the cache.

Have really struggled with bshwckr caches, but this was a relatively easy find. Much like the previous log, the cache was totally exposed so replaced a little more cover to conceal the cache. Thanks bshwckr.

Another great cache by the Smelly Boots at Gosling Creek. Unfortunately no doggies to let loose, but we still enjoyed the find. Thanks

Finally had the park to ourselves, and a nice easy find to boot. Thanks Scenic routers

This one had us stumped, but got it on our second visit. Well done Tanitag79.

Thanks again Virjohn for another great cache and history lesson in a very tranquil location. No mozzies to be seen today. Just a couple of big boomers.

Easy find, travelling back to Perth after a nice couple of relaxing days at Margaret River. Lovely area. Hope we'll be back one day.

Forgot To drop off Travel Bug. See Ya Buddy. Happy Travels.

Took bike ride down to this cache location from the Settlement area. After a short walk arrived at ground zero, and was strongly surprised. There were about 40 seals frollicking in the water just off the coast. Was amazing. The geocache was a greaat find too. Took the Happy Bday travel bug, funny considering it is my bday and left Global Trekker travel bug.
