26-Dec-11
I need to do some maintenance on the cache .... will be back on line as soon as I get this done

26-May-09
There seems to be a problem with one or other of the waypoints. I'll check them out and fix what is wrong.

First find using my Tomtom navigator ... I wasn't sure if it would pinpoint the location exactly so took along the trusty Garmin just in case. As it turned out, it wasn't needed.

Heading for home and just couldn't resist picking up this one. Second this morning using my Tomtom navigator ... didn't even bother getting the trusty Garmin out this time and co-ords were spot on.
Nice quiet spot so close to the main highway.

Managed to visit the site today and found the cache safe and sound .... I will reactivate it now and hopefully be able to visit it again sooner than it has taken this time.

I will need to check and see what has happened here!

13-Sep-08
Cache is in fine order and still well hidden. Not much stash left, so I will drop by and add some more loot as soon as possible.

Placed a new cache at more secure position at the same location.

12-Sep-08
Just a maintenance visit to find the cache missing. Will replace it as soon as possible

06-Apr-08
I have passed this spot many times and never noticed the cairn. Thanks dossman for making me stop. Took cow, left Canada pin badge. SL.

05-Apr-08
Wonderful view out over the valley from here. Gives quite a different perspective when viewed in this direction. Took frog - left seal keyring. Thanks for the cache WEKA.

I sat and waited for 20 minutes for a mugge free moment but group after group of trail riders kept comming so I had to leave .... I will return another day!!!

I named myself after the view .... Pacific Coast(er). Came over the newly sealed road from Waihola, certainly makes a scenic drive. Thanks for the cache BirdFlu. TNLN.

Fog lifting out of the valley so I waited untill it warmed up a bit before continuing. What a neat idea for a water tap - I'm sure that it gets a more than a few laughs. TNLN. SL. Thanks for the cache WEKA.

12-Jan-08
I remember seeing these old folk were here when I taught at the local High School in Lumsden in 1999. Great to see them still here .... although a little weathered now.
Thanks Bitsprayer. TNLN. SL

Cache well hidden by Muttonheads but still an easy find with the clue. I now know why there is a WIND FARM nearby ... the wind was very strong blowing down the valley. Dropped off helecopter to add to the stash. SL.

Very simple find with the clues. The coordinates appear out on my GPS.
Lots of muggles about resealing the highway on probably the hottest day this summer!!!

Quick find ... the cacher tracks lead me right to it.

Came to this cache from Highway 1 from Pukerau via Kaiwera. A nice little drive through some different countryside. TFTC. TNLN. SL

I have been meaning to pick up this cache for some time. I used to pass through this way often on my way from Tapanui to Balclutha. Today it is perhaps the hottest day of the summer so far, the road is a liquid mess and they are sealing the road in Clinton. I hope it is cooler when I go home.

Thanks KiwiChris for alerting me to what had happened at the cache site. The earthworks meant that I had to dig deep, to get to where the old ground level was in order to get under the root where I found the cache in-tact. I have repositioned the cache beside the tree behind a piece of bark. Hope it is not muggled as it is quite exposed now untill the grass grows up a bit.

I have the date in my diary, but I am not hopeful of being able to attend. I would really enjoy meeting others with the same sense of adventure.

I was going to search for this cache yesterday, but there were too many Muggles about, so picked it up this morning. A hot summers day in Central Otago with lots of boats and swimmers.

Missed this one yesterday on the way to Hawea, but just couldn't leave it at that. Found it today. Muggles about as there is a cycle race throught the gorge today.

Last for the day in Hawea - I must away to the Pacific Coast before it gets too hot here. TNLN SL TFTC.
(Set the time on the "CATEYE" cycle computer)

Decided to hit this one early in the morning so I wouldn't be observed. It is a lovely clear fine morning - I know it's going to get very hot again today. 32C yesterday.

Simple find - second of the day in Hawea. I think the upright pipe nearby is a trig station, I must check.
No sign of the travel bug here! SL. TFTC.
Out - Airplane pin.

This is a nice secluded cache. Lots of traffic heading through the gorge have no idea that I am here - hehe.

19-Jun-07
Collecting daughter from Uni for end of semester break so just had to make a small detour. Area around GZ was VERY wet - I should have worn gumboots!!! Thanks KiwiChris. SL.

Went to [Start] and found magnet under seat but nothing attached to it. Suggest maintenance may be needed.

03-Jun-07
Pacific Coaster returned early on a Sunday morning with very few muggles about but alas, WP2 was not where I had spotted it on an earlier visit. I see you have reinstated it recently Eli The Moose. Maybe it has been moved, or were other cache hunters about today??? I will return!!!

26-May-07
Simple find once the puzzle was solved. Nobody on the park at the time I was there. Coordinates were spot on.
TNLN SL Thanks Tiffany_and_Co

Cache is VERY aptly named. I have spotted both WP but was too chicken to up-lift either of them on a Saturday afternoon. Meet up with my daughter who is attending Otago Uni at this location when in the city ..... I will return.

Pacific Coaster was First to find!!!
I was in Invercargill today and decided to take a look at the estuary as it was a nice calm and warm winters afternoon. I enjoyed reading all the history of the rail and port area to get the missing coordinates. The walkway has certainly had a good amount of time and money put into it and I enjoyed seeing the ducks and swans swimming on the estuary (I wonder how many will be there next week after duck shooting!!!) The tide was comming in and was roaring under the new walkway bridge just before ground zero. Cache was spot on the coordinates and well hidden, but I am hoping that the garden doesn't cover it!!
Took smiley face magnet
Left Westpac Rescue Helecopter bracelet
Thanks for the cache

11-Mar-07
I knew that there are lots of yellow eyed penguins near here and thought that Penguin-T travel bug would find a willing carrier to move it on towards its home.

04-Mar-07
Heading South on HW1 so had to stop. Straight forward find but quite a wait for traffic to clear. Log book is full now. TFTC, SL. Pacific Coaster

Heading South so I stopped by to pick up this cache. Made me feel right at home with the Pacific Ocean close by. The tide was out so gathered some interesting pebbles on the beach. TNLN. SL. Thanks Bitsprayer.

Lost of muggles about walking their dogs early on a Sunday morning. Simple find. TNLN. SL. TFTC.

Stopped in Oamaru heading south. Found cache quite easily but many muggles about, needed to time my snatch to avoid detection. Found magnet off cache and it lying inside. Great spot but maybe put magnet inside cache to avoid it dropping off??? Thought of this as I headed away. Took Penguin-T travel bug. I will try to leave it with some other of its kind on the Pacific Coast. Left mini padlock. TFTC.

This cache is close to my home, so went and checked it out. Cache is still in tact and where I first found it, though no geocoin in it now.
