30-Sep-17

Visiting Kai Iwi lakes for Labour weekend. Nice easy find. TFTC Smile

07-Jun-15
Just on the other side of the fence we were followed by a herd of cows/bulls right up to the cache! They followed us as we walked back to the car too- got a little concerned that they might try to charge the fence eep!

Quick find, and, as the title suggests, very nice view Smile

A bit tricky trying to work out exact GZ following the co-ords around near parallel paths. Decided to use our geocaching senses to work out where we thought it should be, and soon came up with the goods! TFTC

06-Jun-15
Nice quick multi to finish off our afternoon caching in Whitford Smile

Really liked this one! Looked around for a while and couldn't see anything, so we had a look at the hint. Took us a little while to work it out, but once we had it & widened our search a little we located the likely spot, and sure enough it was there! Smile

Out looking for a few caches around Whitford area. Nice quick find. TFTC.

When we arrived we could see some other geocachers at GZ so we waited a little until they had finished. Cool hiding spot!

Nice quick find. As someone who grew up watching the muppets, very much appreciate the nod to Mr Henson Smile

23-May-15
Was out for a bit of rainy day caching in Cornwall park with HowickSteph, Fizred & tghawkeye. The rain must have put us off our game as we searched for ages and couldn't find it! Just as we were giving up HowickSteph happened upon it. Glad to add another smiley to Cornwall park Smile

This looks like a cool series - keen to find the rest of these caches!

19-Apr-15
Thought I should take the opportunity to grab the caches in town while here visiting my sister. Pretty quick park n grab. Interesting array of things around the yard!

Nice little spot. The trees are turning beautiful Autumn shades. TFTC

22-Nov-14
Found this previously as a muggle on our first Geocaching outing with HowickSteph. Did a re-con to sign the log book with Susan1989. Quick find Smile

Needed to leave bridge to find it. Looked around a bit, then saw it right in front of me! TFTC Smile

Previously found as a muggle last year. Did a re-con with Susan1989 to fill in the log book. TFTC Smile

Found it quickly once we were on the right side Smile

As with a few caches we found on this day, it took a while for the gps to settle. Cool little spot and cool cache! Smile

Looked around for a while before we thought to re-check the gps. Sure enough it led us several meters away and we finally found it! Cool camo Smile

08-May-14
Thanks for organising it Uncle Sam. Good catch up.

01-Mar-14
Main challenge was trying to look casual with ppl around on a busy Sat evening in Ellerslie lol. TFTC

Had some spare time in Ellerslie so picked up this cache and one other. A few ppl walking past so stealth was required- think they were heading to the train station on their way to the Springsteen concert. TFTC

03-Feb-14
Took us a while to find. We were about to give up when it was spotted. Amazing view!

100th find woohoo! Plus first find in the South Island Smile Nice quick find but as the description says, stealth required.

27-Jan-14
Found before heading to Maccas for lunch on our trip back to Aucks from Parachute. Quick find, cool camo! TFTC Smile

Had to double take to realise the cache was right in front of me! Cool camo. TFTC

Beautiful memorial and a timely reminder to be careful on the roads. TFTC.

Found very quickly- very visible, surprised it hasn't been muggled. TFTC

Beautiful cemetery. Was concerned we may have to look around for it, but then Susan1989 spotted it. TFTC

First find in Huntly on our way back from Parachute. Susan1989 spotted it straight away. TFTC

Our GC senses correctly led us to the right tree straight away. Can see the log has been replaced recently but was already full of water from Sunday's rain. Log book is still dry as the zip lock bag is air tight. TFTC

01-Jan-14
Went and found after New Years lunch with family nearby. First cache for the year woo! TFTC

30-Dec-13
Out for some caches in the area with Susan1989. Nice, relatively quick find after a few toughies!

Nice hiding spot. Didn't take too long to find once we were in the right spot. TFTC Smile

Cute little hiding spot! Quick find. TFTC Smile

Saw it as we were approaching Smile Nice little walk way .TFTC

Was about to give up when I saw something not quite natural, and sure enough it was the cache! Turned out to be the start of a few challenges, not the least of which was navigating the child-proof lid Red Face

Rather rewarding find to have succeeded in the end! (esp with 2 prior dnfs to start our day!)
Big Grin

Out finding caches in the area with Susan1989. Couldn't find at first as the gps was leading us up into the bush! With some help from HowickSteph we were able to find it with not too much trouble on the way back. Smile

09-Nov-13
Out with HowickSteph and Kiwipeats for Art in the Dark. At first there was a muggle right in the spot where we suspected the cache was, but once he moved we looked around and found it Smile

07-Nov-13
Managed to arrive just before the end when everyone was chased away by the rain. Stayed to look through the observatory Smile

Cool to have a local event to mark the occasion at a very appropriate place.

06-Nov-13
Happened to be hanging out with Cassanj, HowickSteph and Susan1989 when we saw this cache published so quickly jumped on it! Enjoyed solving the puzzle.

Didn't see any logs posted so went to find it hoping for an FTF, but alas saw two other names already written in the log! Will have to keep our eyes peeled for our next chance at that elusive FTF. TFTC Smile

05-Nov-13
Had tried to find this previously on foot in the dark, was much easier this time in a driveby with better light Smile

26-Oct-13
Found while over the shore for the Mega event. Nice camo!

First experience night caching Smile

Out night caching with the huge group from mega event. Joint FTF with everyone else in the group and my first FTFs ever! Smile

Fun finish to night caching. Nicely planned out, well done! Smile

Were given a heads up by some other cachers that this one was ~15m off, so along with the hint were able to find it quite quickly Smile

Took a trip over to Long Bay to find some caches during the mega event. Quick find. A couple of kids nearby but they seemed more preoccupied with the flyng fox haha

We were a little off at first, but didn't take too long to find. Nice camo Smile

Last cache in our loop walk at Long Bay
