Logs for chromatica

Found it four years after my first attempt. Much easier when it isn't after dark... Thanks.

Picked this one up while I was out doing some Bibbulmun Track maintenance. TFTC.
There's a giant ant hill next to this one, so mind where you park your bum while signing the log.
I pulled up right next to this one (not actually realising it was there), parked the car and was getting myself ready for my hike, and a few minutes later, Mistraluna and tangowithcupcake happened to turn up. They were working their way through the whole Hotham Valley Rail Trail series. The first fellow geocachers I've met - although, evidently, far more dedicated to the sport than I. I only picked up the seven caches I happened to pass by as I was wending my way back to the car after finishing my maintenance work.

A bit of prickly overgrowth around this one. Scratchy, scratchy!

I struggled for a while to find this one, probably thanks to the trees confusing my GPS.

I came in to Noggerup from Mumballup pub doing a Bibbulmun Track maintenance run, and ran into a couple of end-to-end hikers set up for the night at the campsite. While one of them was off gathering firewood, he stumbled across the cache and brought it back to the shelter.
He didn't know what it was and was wondering if there was some sort of prize for finding it... The other hiker seemed to know a bit about it, so we explained what geocaching was to him. He thought it all sounded a bit mad.
So I signed the log and he signed the log and put it back where he said he found it (hopefully). But you might want to think about relocating this a little further away from the campsite itself, or I fear it shan't be long before it gets muggled again, especially as the winter sets in and hikers regularly scour the surrounding bush for firewood.
Thanks for the cache.

I was hoping to log my first FTF, but I couldn't find it either. Found GZ at the same spot as the first DNF, but couldn't find it nearby. I also looked near the toilet block, but didn't see it there either.
Like the FTF, I found the coordinates off by about 15m. I suggest you change them to
S 34°23.469'
E 116°00.795'
And note that the log book was fairly damp, so maybe a ziplock bag would be in order. I didn't have one with me, unfortunately.

An easy find. Thanks for the cache.
The box was a little damp inside, but not too serious.

Found a log at GZ but didn't find the cache inside. Had a look around in the vicinity but couldn't turn anything up.

Thanks for the cache. I imagine this is probably a really nice spot in the daytime. At night, it's...kind of hard to tell.
I was within a metre or two of the cache when I heard voices. Turns out a couple of muggles (I'm guessing a father and son) had driven their ute in and set up camp about 20 metres away, where the Patens Brook Trail veers off Allen Road and bends right. Didn't have much choice but to move on to the next cache.
This cache was quite exposed where it was. I didn't move it, but I dug it in a little better.
I gave up looking for this one. It was dark and I was using a torch. Didn't really want to misstep and do myself a mischief.

Losing the light, and it's not in an obvious place, so I'll leave it for today. I really don't need to reach into a log and pull out a dugite.

Great views up here. Easy find. TFTC.
I didn't see TB2AD5H (Australia) in the cache.

Walked here from Mundaring Weir Road. Got a bit lost after the trail I was going to use to get here was blocked off.
TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

Damn - was hoping to be FTF...
The clue made sense, but couldn't find the cache nearby. Had to leave in fading light.

A nice drive up from the city and a nice little spot, especially just on sunset. Thanks for the cache.
