Find #: 3,796Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Hot spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog on the Twin Creeks Track, and passed this point. I found the container in an likely spot - TNLNSL TFTC

After #3 I continued on to #4. I overshot the spot as I was expecting more of a lookout (more of a lookin-totrees). I had a reasonable search of the objects matching the hint and logged photo, but couldn't find the container Sad so reluctantly continued on my way.

Cache check, container is missing. Disabling until I secure a replacement

Find #: 3,788Companions: NoneMuggles: Some walkersWeather: Warm spring afternoonCache condition: GoodAfter drinks at work earlier in the week I headed to WP1 to catch the metro home. I retrieved the details with no issues, but decided to leave the find until today, when I went there at lunchtime. Once at GZ I didn't have to wait too long to find a gap in the muggles traffic - TNLNSL, thanks for sharing an interesting snippet of history I may not have otherwise noticed.

Find #: 3,787Companions: NoneMuggles: Some walkersWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to explore some of the less-traveled trails in the forest, with a diversion to visit this cache (on a medium-traveled trail?). GPS at GZ isn't great, and I wasn't quite sure exactly which object was being referenced, but it didn't take too long to find the container - cute! TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,786Companions: NoneMuggles: A few cyclists passingWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodI was jogging around the parklands and paused while passing GZ - a quick find, TNLNSL, before continuing on my way. TFTC

Jogging around the parklands I found myself on this useful piece of infrastructure. I was a bit fixated on something that looked out of place but it wasn't the container, and after a time decided to abandon the search for the day - I'll be back!

Find #: 3,784Companions: NoneMuggles: A walkerWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodI was jogging around the parklands and found myself at GZ where I made a quick find - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,783Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter Culvert 2, Culvert 1. This time I started the search in the right spot, so quickly had CIH, and no webs to fight this time, phew - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,782Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter parkrun I headed over to this section of the parklands for a second jog. Once I got to GZ I started my search on the wrong side, so it took a systematic search until I was able to get CIH. I needed to Shelob to get to the log - TNLNSL, TFTC

Sigh, another bridge another frown Sad Like a previous DNF'er I was enthusiastic in finding some suspicious bridge parts, but they didn't hide a container and I eventually abandoned my search. Until the next time...

Find #: 3,785Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: GoodI was jogging around the parklands and found myself at GZ. I generally struggle with the bridge series (kinda the point?), but given this 'temporary' replacement container seems to be increasingly permanent didn't have any troubles - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,781Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring morningCache condition: Needs TLC (in particular, a replacement container)After parkrun I headed over here. I strolled over to GZ where I made a quick find in a likely place, signing the log and then replacing it carefully given the lack of its container - TNLNSL. As I signed a train went by, thus meeting the theme! TFTC

Find #: 3,778Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: Mushy logI decided to go for a jog around the Budjigal Reserve, and this was my third stop. The trail from #2 was a bit indistinct, and at times was more of a creek-crawl, so I was glad that the water level was low (and that I didn't seem to attract any travellers). Once at GZ I had a bit of a look around, and eventually realised where I needed to search. Nice! The log is too mushy to write on, so I took a photo instead. After completing the formalities I continued on around the reserve, enjoying some of the bush views, although gave up on searching for some of the caches in that area given the rougher-than-expected terrain and less-than-expected evidence of the trails that showed on my map, so headed back up to civilisation and explored some of the streetscapes instead. TFTC

Find #: 3,777Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: OKI decided to go for a jog around the Budjigal Reserve, and this was my second stop. The jog from #3 was fine, and there was a discernible trail up to GZ. Once there it was a fairly straightforward find - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,776Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: Mushy logI decided to go for a jog around the Budjigal Reserve, and this was my first stop. It was an easy jog in from the road, and once at GZ it didn't take too long to get CIH (particularly noting some previous logs for the appropriate range to search), although I needed to take a photo of the log as it was too mushy to write on. TFTC

Find #: 3,779Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter a jog around the Budjigal Reserve I was on my way home, and this wasn't much of a diversion. I found my way to GZ and quickly had CIH - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,780Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter a jog around the Budjigal Reserve I was on my way home, and this wasn't much of a diversion. The street was quiet so I was able to search in peace and soon had CIH. Nice printing. TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,770Companions: NoneMuggles: A young family in the playgroundWeather: Hot spring morningCache condition: GoodI was on the way to an event in Revesby and this was enroute. I headed into the park and once at GZ made a quick find (I had thought the hint was a bit of an anti-hint, but it did in fact make the search easier) - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,772Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Hot spring morningCache condition: GoodI was on the way to an event in Revesby and this was enroute. There was loud music coming from a nearby house, but they weren't outside so I was able to search in peace, and soon had CIH - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,771Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Hot spring morningCache condition: GoodI was on the way to an event in Revesby and this was enroute. I was a bit worried by the high tide, but it didn't impact the hide - CIH! I was a bit surprised to find an empty log, given an online log today and no recent owner-maintenance log, but whatevs. TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,775Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Hot spring afternoonCache condition: GoodI was on the way home from an event in Revesby. I had searched for this on my last trip south, but had been foiled by dusk. This time I had more joy and soon spotted the container, so completed the formalities. While replacing the log I dropped it, and it landed in an inaccessible spot, arrgh, sorry! I fashioned a replacement from some paper I had on me, so was able to TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,768Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Grey spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Parramatta parkrun I still had some energy, so decided to go for a second jog around the nearby University campus (including the adventure lab) and then a loop along the river. I approached GZ and made a quick find in the likely spot - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,769Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Grey spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Parramatta parkrun I still had some energy, so decided to go for a second jog around the nearby University campus (including the adventure lab) and then a loop along the river. I dodged some trains to get to GZ (looking forward to its opening - will be great to be able to ride down from Carlingford and then catch the light rail back up the hill!), and once there made a quick find given the nice hint - nice variation on a common container. TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,767Companions: NoneMuggles: WorkmenWeather: Grey spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Parramatta parkrun I still had some energy, so decided to go for a second jog around the nearby University campus (including the adventure lab) and then a loop along the river. I crossed the impressive pedestrian bridge to see some workmen on the track, mowing the lawn and generally checking ... something (I'm a bit bemused by the level of checking applied to this line for the past few months - looking forward to them finding the buttons to open the passenger doors). Anyway, I had no trouble finding the container - TNLNSL, thanks for another fine edition to the ST series.

Find #: 3,766Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Grey spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Parramatta parkrun I still had some energy, so decided to go for a second jog around the nearby University campus (including the adventure lab) and then a loop along the river. I approached GZ, unsure how to interpret the hint, but a comment in a previous log gave me an idea that allowed me to spot the container. Hmmm, hope that leveraged an existing gap? Anyway, TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,760Companions: NoneMuggles: Quite a few on the platform, none at GZWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog around Castle Hill for a change in scenery, and this was along the way. I headed down to the platform and carefully gathered all of the required details. Some provided some optionality (e.g. I wasn't sure whether they were inclusive or exclusive), but the checksums helped determine the correct option. I ambled over to GZ and had a good look around until I spotted a familiar style of container (was this perchance discussed at a recent CCC?) - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,759Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog around Castle Hill for a change in scenery, and this was along the way. It didn't take too long to get the details from the attractive mural and calculate GZ. Given I was in jogging gear it didn't take long to get there, and I soon spotted something worth investigating - CIH! TNLNSL TFTC

26-Oct-24
Find #: 3,756Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the Rouse Hill parkrun I decided to find some local caches. I first went to the nearby station to pick up a lab (they are impressive stations) before heading over here for a quick (if spiky) find - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,758Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: Log a bit damp, but writableAfter taking part in the Rouse Hill parkrun I decided to find some local caches; this was my final find of the morning. I had no real issues finding the container (TNLNSL), thankfully not seeing any "black wriggly sticks" (love the term!). TFTC

Find #: 3,752Companions: NoneMuggles: A cleanerWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the Rouse Hill parkrun I decided to find some local caches. I was able to find road parking, and was soon at GZ where I made a quick find - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,754Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the Rouse Hill parkrun I decided to find some local caches. I had unsuccessfully searched for this many years ago (it was genuinely missing, for what it's worth Smile ), so was keen to address that blue icon on my map. Once at GZ it didn't take too long to find the container - TNLNSL TFTC

I had a reasonable look in the likely spots, but no joy - thanks anyway

23-Oct-24
All is well, with the container in its normal place - cache on!

21-Oct-24
Find #: 3,750Time flies, eh? Back in this familiar location with the usual feed and lots of good geochat. No puzzles solved this month, but Siri decided to make me Lucky 13 - my first CCC F2F! TFTE

Find #: 3,749Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring eveningCache condition: GoodI was on the way to CCC and decided to find a cache enroute. I parked next to WP1 and gathered the necessary details before heading over to GZ. I love when councils not only meet the brief but far exceed it - an impressive bridge well beyond the requirements for the "raging waters" below! Anyway, I wandered around a bit before finding the container - TNLNSL.I returned to my car to find I had picked up 3 travellers, sigh. I used my car keys to flick them off, and in the process sent my keys flying and coming apart. When I tried to start the car it refused to recognise the key. Arggghhh! I phoned my wife who was on her way home, but luckily before she had to go too far out of her way I was able to get the car started, and I was able to go to CCC.Thanks for the excitement Smile

19-Oct-24
Find #: 3,746Companions: NoneMuggles: A few at WP1Weather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the inaugural Macquarie University parkrun I decided to find some local caches, and this was the second. I parked on the north-side and headed across the bridge, where the challenge began. I searched for quite a while until I found the hex - I wonder if someone didn't heed the CO's request, as the first few lines didn't seem to be relevant (although the co-ords were accurate)? Anyway, with GZ's co-ords soon calculated I headed off, and once there made a quick find in the appropriate and unexpected spot - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,745Companions: NoneMuggles: A few along the wayWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the inaugural Macquarie University parkrun I decided to find some local caches, and this was the first. I was lucky to find parking on Busaco, near WP1, so completed this slightly out of order (not that it matters). The path to WP2 is a bit unclear, while a bird was on the path to WP3 and eventually hopped past me, but overall I enjoyed visiting the local sights. I was a bit apprehensive about some of the numbers (e.g. whether my endpoints for WP2's count were right), so a checksum or co-ord check would be helpful, but when I got to my calculated co-ords quickly found the container - TNLNSL, thanks for the multi.

Find #: 3,747Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter taking part in the inaugural Macquarie University parkrun I decided to find some local caches, and this was the third. Traffic along Epping Road was bad, but I persevered and was eventually at GZ where I made a quick find of an appropriate container - TNLNSL. Interesting feature, thanks for sharing

Find #: 3,748Companions: NoneMuggles: A guy fixing the fenceWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI was on the way home from the inaugural Macquarie University parkrun and decided to stop here. I thought I'd be smart and park on the opposite side of Beecroft Road, with the effect that I spent more time watching traffic than actually searching for this cache, which was hidden in a spot familiar from a previous cache - TNLNSL TFTC

15-Oct-24
Find #: 3,744Companions: NoneMuggles: Not reallyWeather: Cool spring eveningCache condition: GoodI had an event in the city and afterwards headed to Wynyard to catch the train home. What, 25 minute wait? Wait, there is a new geocache here! I headed to WP1, familiar from the previous (sadly short-lived) cache celebrating this station, and soon had the co-ords. I followed the pointer and was soon at GZ - LOL, I can see that spot from my office window! TNLNSL, then ambled back to the station, where I still had a 15 minute wait sigh. TFTC

13-Oct-24
Find #: 3,741Companions: NoneMuggles: A few passing byWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog 'n cache in the area, and this was my third find. I had searched for this earlier in the year unsuccessfully, but this time had few issues - how did I miss that last time?! TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,739Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog 'n cache in the area, and this was my first find. I had parked in the lot just above GZ, so it was a short stroll down the stairs, and then an easy find - TNLNSL, after which I started my jog. TFTC

Find #: 3,742Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog 'n cache in the area, and this was my fourth and final find. I found the container in the promised spot, and thankfully didn't have too many issues getting to the log (there are *various* "degrees of difficulty" with these containers Smile ) - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,740Companions: NoneMuggles: A fewWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI decided to go for a jog 'n cache in the area, and this was my second find. I had searched for this earlier in the year unsuccessfully, but today I was fortunate to find this impressive container through a systematic search at the accurate co-ords - TNLNSL, thanks for a good cache.

Find #: 3,743Companions: NoneMuggles: A few wanderersWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI had been jogging nearby and decided to swing by this cache on the way home. I enjoyed wandering around the colourful displays, although had to travel an unexpectedly large distance until I found the first number ("can I have mistaken the method?") and was worried that some could be missing, but once I got to the right section had few problems; some are potentially ambiguous but fine in context. Once at GZ I soon had CIH - TNLNSL TFTC

12-Oct-24
Find #: 3,734Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cold spring morningCache condition: Log needs some TLC, but container fineAfter running the nearby parkrun, I decided to find this cache, which I have seen on the map for years but never had time to find. The tide was low so I had few issues getting to GZ (still had to be careful!), and once I got the altitude right was able to get the container in hand - TNLNSL TFTC

Find #: 3,737Companions: NoneMuggles: A few passing byWeather: Cold spring morningCache condition: GoodI visited here a few months ago and worked through all the clues (awesome!) to get GZ's co-ordinates, but was unable to find the container, in particular given the tide was high. Today I was back in the area and decided to have another look, given the tide was low. This allowed me to get a different perspective that highlighted the container - hooray! I still needed a bit of gymnastics as well as assistance from a natural TOTT to get it in hand - TNLNSL, thanks for a good multi

Find #: 3,738Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cold spring morningCache condition: GoodI was on the way home from parkrun and decided to divert via here. It didn't take long to get CIH given the clear hint - TNLNSL TFTC!

Find #: 3,735Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cold spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter finding #2 and another nearby cache I was about to head off when I noticed that a few other caches had also been published in the area during the morning. I walked through the park (nice work, council) and was soon at GZ where I made a quick find of the nice large container. Hmmm! Thankfully my geosenses were on and I soon figured out what needed to be figured out to get CIH - TNLNSL TFTC
