just doing some absailing with some friends as one of our members had never ever absailed so the 90m drop to the bottom was a great first jump for him checked out the cache just for a look saw the bug and took him, took nothing else and left nothing. the hike out was amazing as we basically climbed back up the cliff face from the waters side as you exit the tunnel great climb and excellent absail

28-Aug-04
we took the bush trail and then found the path all the way to the beach were we found this one rather quick, i took the intrepid key finder as i knew it would bug my wife and it does so thanx for that one HAHAHA we left behind a survival tool for when your unable to find your way out and have to live off the land just as well we live here or i might have had to use it myself

thanx terrortorians for the new finds here in darwin

well this one is a find as such but its hard not to find it when you help place it for the 2 dogs...

we didn't write in it as it was hot and there were actually a heep of people biking around so we just hid it and left

we will endevour another trip out there and we will log it then

26-Jun-04
this one was a picnic day to see how many territorians turn up and well there were a few so all had a good day, as the BBQ went off and all had a harty saussage sanga then off to find some shade as the hot sun was cooking more then the food.

found some not that theres much at the park but we did have to fight an old man for some and he won...HAHAHA

set off on a time trial to find the cache and well after a long walk in the sun we were all brought back and had to pat down snifter as she hid the cache in her pants pocket.

i think all had a good day and we might do another one a while down the track

09-May-04

27-Sep-03
being in brisbane on cse i headded up to hervey bay to see my family and check out my cache and also picked up a new friend to take home to darwin with me

04-Aug-03
due to its location we have removed this one and turned it into bugs galore closer to home as it was a 300km round trip by car to get to this one and it is basically not accessable during the wet season

26-Apr-03
as we know where this one is we like to keep an eye on it for aur good friends the two dogs but just to let them know that the local govenment has changed the old signs for new so the second reference point is not there but we will endevour to put it back hopefully tomorrow as we went back there and swapped the old contence for new and made $2 so untill i leave a note on this one you wont find it....

went out to find this one after the wet season and to check that it was still there as the last person to try to find it was un lucky....

the cache is there and it is very well camoflarged due to the recent rains but you will have to look very carfully as you should see the blue metal container in which it is hidden in

good hunting

team snafuadv

12-Mar-03
this cache has been removed due to the wet season and won't be going back

09-Mar-03
well the hole family had a fun time with this one as each way point is less then 100m walk from the car so it was a great way to spend a family day out.

found the final element which wasn't hard all though i thaught that it might have been a cannon that is in the park but i guess that if your looking for this one you will just have to walk around my top city and enjoy our great views over the ocean and find out for yourself.. icon_smile_cool.gif

found it.... After almost falling down a short cliff face due to the wetness of the area.

we took the key ring and a bouncy ball, left some money and a purple clip.

great place to hide it, took me a bit after my son had already told me that he had already looked there but still we found it

08-Mar-03
we have dropped off this little guy in hope that he can help heal someone else. it was great to have him and now its up to you to find him a new home.

05-Feb-03
this cache was found by us about twenty metres from where it was place due to rising flood water so it will be placed in a new area soon

30-Jan-03
well went to check this one for the 2 dogs and i hate to say it but your cach is M.I.A....

you may like to make a new one and place it somewhere else when you return here in july

26-Jan-03
well this was our second for the day as we were hoping to find sharky and bring him back to darwin. We found the car park easy and headed off to the water edge... We got there and the co-ord indicated that it was at the bottom of the hill near the big tree thats there no where near the water so we again spent aver an hour looking for this one.....again we did not find it.
this only added to our dissapointment of not finding the first one as well..

all i can say is good luck to anyone out there that can find this cache..

25-Jan-03
well snafuadv was heading home to darwin from hervey bay and thought that they would give this one a go. got to the car park and our co-ords were different then what was stated. we took off up the hill and found the area quickly. it was then when time stood still and we spent over an hour looking around for this one. we moved rocks and grass and spikey plants to no avail so all we could put this one down to was that the co-ords are out maybe.....

24-Jan-03

19-Jan-03
had a great day at the picnic and helped find this one with the help of a group of excellent cachers so all in all i think everyone had a great day
thanks heeps
team snafuadv

17-Jan-03
how cool was this one......

had a great absail down thru the tunnel which with the help of a friend we joined two 50m lengths together and hadf to pass the knot in the middle but i have to say that it is now my biggest jump and loved every exsillerating moment of it....

the only problem that i could find with this one is that if you can't absail and don't have any old maps your never ever going to find this one. sure there are two entries but you could search all day for them and never find them so i think this cache needs to have the co-ords for the tunnel entrances so as other people not as lucky as me will be able to find this one as just the walk in the tunnel is so amazingly cold.....
more caches like this one keeps it so much fun
love it thanx heeps Big Grin

10-Jan-03
this was as eaisy as a walk in the park. still have no idea as to what A E I O U means but who cares as found it in a matter of seconds anyway.

took pinball game and left a toy tractor.

had a great day abseiling not too far away

09-Jan-03
Seeing as this one was sooooooo easy to get too, we even had the youngest team member with us in her stroller. Once we got down to it we were on top of the situation. Unfortunatly we had no foriegn money so we didn't swap any. Thanks for the pleasant afternoon stroll.

Since I used to live in the area it was a pretty easy one to find. The trick was to avoid looking sus in such a busy place. Took the beach ball for the kids to play with and left a poncho. Inside was a little damp, so we emptied out what water was in it. Enjoyed the view for a couple of minutes before heading back. Thanks.

This one had eluded me for a short while, only cause the GPS wasn't sure its self. Once we were on the wright track it was no problem finding the loot. Took the grip mats and left a candle of courage. Trying to leave the bush was another obstacle with me and the vines getting all tangled up. I eventually got out of it. Thanks 2 Dogs.

06-Jan-03
walked to within 20m of this one then decieded to read the cache log.....should have just keept following the gps as it took me strait to this one....

nice and easy all thou the other snafuadv team member found the climb a bit daunting due to the fact that its very steap and she's not as fit as she would like to be..

took nothing but cleaned out the cach and replaced the container, i must say that i have never before have seen tic tacs that have melted in the sun but then again a packet of them is gone in 2 saconds around me anyway but still a good cache.

this one was a royal pain in the A&%#. our first attempt at getting to it failled BUT we did find a bag of grown up goddies just short of the spot which was well worth the wrong way route, but we eventually found it as the SAT NAV was not working for us so as we were ready to leave we spotted a lizard which lead us the way to our new found stash.

dropped off our bug friend the MAD MEDIC and some cash, took the lego bionicle for our youger member. well tangles it was a great day and i have to say 3/3 for the day is prity good.

well this one had us going for a bit but with a short walk over the main object in question helped to solve the riddle.

great place to hide it would have never found it if i had not taken the walk to SUCCESS.....

we left a toy car and took another. its our second tangles cache today 2/2

this was our first for the day and i have to say a great place if your maddly into abseiling as there is a good jump about 30-40m high just right next door. followed tangles advice and climbed up from the bottom which to me now seems like a real dumb idea but others will figure it out...

found the great spider of success and then found the cache.
left mobile fone holder and a snake to eat the spider
took a data book and a rattle for the youngest member of the group in which the pic will appear real soon.
the two dogs are working with us today and there glad that snafuadv can fit in very small holes as the dogs just wont fit.

good one loved it 1/1 for the day.

02-Jan-03
well team snafuadv and the two dogs tackled this one 2 dogs searched the top of the cliff and i headed down. around 20min of intense searching and looking it was the dogs whom found this one, only for me to find out that it was only 2M from where i had left my sunnies but hay thats the fun with cachin. well we left some cash and took a F1 car as well as our new lil friend the mad medic who with our other bug will enjoy the trip back to darwin.

great view and excellent abseiling to be had for all those interested.

01-Jan-03
Well we tried to strart the year with a cache. Having been at that location the weekend before to do some abseiling we came back to collect. But alas we couldn't quit find it. We searched high and low. We haven't given up, so we will be back with the help of the Two (sniffer) Dogs. We feel we have to go further over the cliff making this one harder than the 2/2 rating it already has.

18-Dec-02
what a view... folled the right path all the way up can't say witch one as that would give it away but good luck to those whomseek this one. my gps was at 110m above sea level so i guess it was close enough. took a bit to find but with some pinpointing we found it and had a great day.

this was our last cache for the day and i have to say that we saw all the dishes of the day..

walked around this one following all the tracks around it but nun lead any closer then 30m so had to break track and begain to make our own which i covered up so as the next happy hunter has as much fun finding this one as i did.

great cache heeps of stuff to swap and trade.

this was a good one. had a nice walk out to the rocks where we found the cache, also a port jacson shark egg. good cache although it leaks as the contence was wet inside. we replaced the plastic bag that everything was in and repack it as best we could.

good one
thanks guys.
