Logs for Anastriel
04-Aug-24
I'd previously dnf and was sure cache was gone, but hadn't been back this way since CO had replaced it, and was keen to clear it from my dnf list. I remembered enough of my previous search so I let Lycurgon take the lead and he quickly found the cache. Pleased to finally get back to this lovely dog walking area. TFTC
Last time I was in the area I'd dnf this one so today came caching with Lycurgon and my doggy determined to turn the blue into a yellow smile. Had to stop mid search to greet a fellow dog walker, but soon returned to search. I had a good idea of where to look but I'm a little scared of spiders so I probed with a stick and found the cache and confirmed it was spider free! Signed the log and returned in place. TFTC

Visiting Sydney from New Zealand for an event on the campus, so of course I had to get some geocaching in! This was my first cache here and I have to confess being a little scared of encountering the local spiders! Still I packed my TotT and using a telescopic mirror searched around. It took me longer than it should as I was being cautious of how open it was. But rereading the hint and focusing on the correct part of the hint meant cache was soon in hand! Tftc

Wanted to get the Solstice souvenir, so met up with Reveurs and Lycurgon. Stealthed to the cache, trying not to be seen by neighbours. TFTC

Easter walk and saw it as we approached. I love a quick find on a long caching day! TFTC
Easter walk and cache. Log full but we couldn't replace as no room for a second log. TFTC, great rest spot.
Easter day out caching, My doggy Rhea came too and had a good sniff around. No lid on tin and log wet and full so replaced with a water proof log and little baggie TFTC
Lovely to see a big cache! We bought two cars so that we could walk and pleased to see our car in sight after a 5k walk and cache! TFTC
Quick find on our Easter walk though Small Pooka needed to use a tool to get it out as was a bit stuck. TFTC
First find of the day, thought we'd have to skip as some kids were waiting for a bus but they went for a short walk. TFTC
Easter walk and cache day, quick find though not sure if it was in intended spot as slightly different from hint. TFTC
Easter walk out, hidden by spider webs but Reveurs had gloves. TFTC
Took a while of searching and we didn't find the dummy. Small Pooka did find a wasps nest, but Reveurs found the cache. Log signed, TFTC
Took us longer to find than it should have but eventually we saw it was right there. TFTC
Saw the hint, knew where it was but first look turned up nothing. Handed dog lead to Lycurgon and sat down for a good look and found it quickerTFTC
We were looking in the wrong direction at first but then Small Pooka's cache sense started tingling. Great hide, TFTC
Easter walk and cache, bit of searching but eventually Lycurgon found. TFTC!
Lovely rest place on our Easter walk and cache. Beautiful viewTFTC
Lots of spider webs but Reveurs was prepared with gloves for an easy retrieval of the cache. TFTC
Got the coordinates needed during our cache trail walk and stopped to grab this before lunch. TFTC
Another lovely quick find on our Easter walk and cache. TFTC
GPS was bouncing a bit so searched a wider area than needed. Was careful where putting hands due to lots of wasp nests around. Small Pooka spotted and Reveurs retrieved wearing gloves due to local widelife. TFTC

Out and about but the baby was asleep in the car so went for a detour and saw this cache. Couldn't see the GZ until we got out of the car, then there it was hidden behind greenery. Lovely location. TFTC

Thought this would be quick but no luck today. Couldn't find it in the obvious places but then it started to rain and we had limited time. Heaps of spider webs so I was visually searching rather than using hands, so possibly I just missed it.
Found and signed, as previous cachers mentioned the lid is missing and the log is sopping wet. Thanks to the previous cacher who added a waterproof log as still can be signed.

I wanted to get a cache today for the leap day souvenir. It's also the first day that UK people can donate blood, so I had just a little time between work and my blood donation appointment. This cache was in a great location and looked quick.Spotted the likely location as I approached and sure enough it was there! Carefully retrieved and signed. TFTC
Found for leap day at 11.30pm! I had a busy day but was keen for the souvenir, so managed to just slip in. Cache was easier to get to at this time of night but stealth was still needed. Placement of the cache was excellent for a quick slip in - I had a good idea what I was looking for which helped. TFTC
I had limited time between work and donating blood and wanted to get a cache for the leap dayGrabbed the other one nearby and was pleased to see I had time for this one too. Lovely spot, wish I had time for a walk up to the top. TFTC

Caching day out with Team LARPS. Lovely to have a place where we can bring a dog. TFTC
Searched near wrong object for a bit but then relocation helped us spot the correct GZ. TFTC

Lovely walk around the basin with Lycurgon and Reveurs, plus my geodoggy. Really enjoyed the walk. We saw some cachers doing the ad lab in the reverse order to us too!
Thanks for the great caches.
