Strangely didn't find this cache today...

Discovered with the new hubby on our the last leg (Grampians part) of our SA/VIC honeymoon trip. We took the time to view the wildlife from the bird hut. A relatively easy find & another one of those great locations you'd miss without Geocaching. TFTC.

T: Dutch clog & plastic pirate whistle.
L: 3 x New Kinder Suprise toys

14-Aug-11
Found with Fatboy86 - on a whim (again). We'd pulled over for a short break, where the 'geocacher instinct' kicked in. "That looks like a path....grab the iPhone..." & the cache was found. If you're with Optus & caching with an iPhone, the coverage drops out near GZ, but I'm sure you'll find it easy with a GPS.

This was a beautiful location & view. TFTC TNLN

11-Aug-11
Found on an iPhone whim! We stopped for a quick break, then thought 'i'm sure there would be a geocache here somewhere???' & the well worn track led to the loot. A great container, but we didn't see the trackable inside. TNLN TFTC - GeoNem & Fatboy86 (on our Honeymoon)

Found with Fatboy (all the way from SA) nice and early in the morning as we are staying at the Witches Falls Cottages (which I would highly recommend). An easy find. First to sign the new log

Found by Fatboy86 in the dark! TNLN SL
The GSP GeoMutts found the source of the smell [xx(]

What a high muggle zone - especially regarding the boys in blue!

Fatboy86 and I were actually having a look at the nearby jetty when the Police, Air Ambuance and Sea Rescue arrived regarding the Cape Nelson snorkelling tragedy. Unlike half of Portland, we decided not to be intrusive onlookers and left to do this cache 'up on the hill'.

TFTC - signed #37 of log at 4:30pm SA time

Reasonably easy cache - even in the dark!

Fatboy86 and I bounded up to this cache location upon dark in our ute with the spotlights on and our large dogs in the back. Not wanting to scare the international visitors 'Wolf Creek' style Surprised, we promptly left as not to be muggled!

A bit of a tricky (but very fun!!) find at 3:10pm SA time with Fatboy86. When you arrive, you will realise why the GPS won't be 100% accurate at this location so make sure you pack your patience in trying to find this cache. It was great to read the history of the big 'pounders' although suprisingly most were decorative in their Australian context.

What a great hide!!! Loved it [:X] Loved it [:X] Loved it [:X]

Having been to these gardens numerous times growing up, it was great to bring Fatboy86 and the GSP GeoMutts for the first time (all the way from Adelaide). The dahlias were absolutely stunning.

I love the ironic name for the cache (for the original location) and the clue made me giggle. Even Fatboy, the horticulturalist, had a good chuckle.

An easy find although eihter our GPS or the coordinates were a few meters off.

The 4th cache for Fatboy86 and I for the day. This was a great little cache and a clever hide. Beware of the wombat hole at the base of the tree. There is also a hidden sink hole not far from the farmhouse - just past the decaying roo. Congratulations to the owners of the property for attempting to restore this little outback gem.

I've done this full walk a few years ago (pre-geocaching) and it was absolutely stunning - and I saw plenty of wombats.
This time Fatboy86 and I had the GeomuttGSP, so we couldn't do both the walks. The co-ordinates were spot on and this cache was an easy find with the clues. The cache isn't in any womat holes and just beware where you place your hands due to spiders and snakes.

Great walk.

This was a great cache except for all the seed pods attached to Fatboy86's pants, which we spent over 20 minutes picking out! If you have a pair of plastic waders in the the car, I would strongly recommend them for this cache [:o)]
This cache was in excellent condition. T: Reflective Bear L:Plastic Toy Goose

My (and Fatboy86's) first cache for the year at 1pm. A lovely location.

Hi All
Fatboy86 & I would have loved to attend to meet some fellow cachers and put some faces to the alias' we have seen on our journeys, but we both work full time. A big thanks to all who have laid cachers for us to find - especially the native forest walks. We have had some great adventures! Have fun all, GeoNem & Fatboy86

15-Aug-09
First find for the day & I was rewarded with a cute little Lion "Travel Rex" TB.
I grew up in the area so it was wonderful to return to this favourite spot.
T: TB Travel Rex

Found at 11:20am. This had a fantastic view, but I was disappointed that I couldn't find an access route that didn't take you trampling through the native vegetation or historic gravesights Sad TNLN SL

14-Aug-09
Found with Fatboy86 around 3:40pm - on the ground!
What a wonderful little garden that I would have never discoverd without Geocaching. A new log is required soon, as there is only enough room for a few more entries.
TFTC - clever cache container too

New log required soon - still enough room for a few more entries

Fatboy woke me up from my slumber to search for this cache. He didn't find it after too long at 4:30pm.

An easy find with Fatboy86 at 11:20am. We added a new scribe as the little pen no longer works. If the next Cachers could please add a small sharpener - future Cachers would be appreciative I'm sure [:X]

Found with Fatboy86 at 10:10am. We had been to this spot prior to Geocaching so it was nice to re-visit for a different perspective. All the listed Travel Bugs were missing except the 'Unite for Diabetes TB' which is now in Fatboy's possession (and perhaps making a trip to Mount Gambier?)

Hmmm - too many rocks! I'll have to try again

Discovered at 12.40pm with Fatboy86
What a wonderful place for a cache. The views and the wildflowers were spectacular!
No Travel Bug was to be seen and unfortunately the log was too saturated to sign
