FINALLY!!!!!! Only 6 years later I have finally qualified for this cache. Was really trying to finish these ones off this year but sadly June is still waiting..... Next year Mr Fangsoki, next year!!!(Can I just say "J" is a super awkward letter to find!!)
Thanks for setting these caches to make me work way too hard, lol. Of course the sense of achievement is way higher as well!
The beautiful list as follows....
2022-07-05 Jake's Coin/Pebble Exchange (GC9QZYA) - Letterbox Hybrid
2016-07-26 Ulolo Park (GC10K2X) - Multi-cache
2016-07-26 Lane Cove (GC3E) - Virtual Cache
2014-07-23 Yet Another Road Junction No 8 (GC4EZ0D) - Traditional Cache

So.... waaaaay back in 2016 the 4B's, otherwise known as Landyman123, pinkducks, legoman9494 and myself went on a little stroll about the Tinchi Tamba wetlands signing a whole bunch of challenge caches and hoping to one day qualify for. This one when I checked then my best day was only 18 different combos so, not today sunshine as they say. Fast forward many, many years and after some issues with being a tad behind on logging (ahem, 4 1/2 years or so....) and having not really geocached for a couple of years with covid and life etc I thought I would revisit my challenge caches once basically caught up with logging and see where I was... ummm... still no further ahead... doh!
But I had a plan, well not a really good plan just a plan to sit down and plan a day to qualify. So really a plan of a plan i guess! (For those that know, I may be related to pprime but I am not blessed with his planning awesomeness) With not having geocached much a whole heap of geocaches have popped up around my general location so that was helpful and getting back into fun days we had set up an afternoon/evening with caching buddies to do a local series and also some night caches. A few days previous to this I was out with my geobuddy and had mentioned how I had this challenge cache that I really must sit down and plan a day for, then thought nothing more of it. So the night before our planned day out as I was loading the caches I noticed there seemed a lot of different DT combos and when I actually plotted them I had 18.... without planning.....oooh, well this seemed too good an opportunity to pass by as clearly achieving the challenge by osmosis had not ocurred over the previous 6 years, so, planning.....
I created a plan using caches close to where we were going but there were a lot of options that did not appear safe finds and I might cry if I had planned and then dnf'd it all away. So looking further afield (in the opposite direction!!)I found another series which had a good lot of different DT's and I had solved half of them already, awesome. Just needed to solve a couple more in that area, easy right? I mean they looked to just be jigidi's...... So the whole jigidi craze has come about while I wasn't caching so I am still getting used to it. And what I found that night was that apparently some unkind CO's have jigidi's that lead to jigidi's that lead to jigidi's and while I am not a star wars hater I am way less enamoured after doing multiple millenium falcon jigidi's [:(!]....... suffice to say 3am bedtime and all jigidi'd out but ready for our day to crack this challenge!![8)]
I was dragging Landyman123, legoman9494 and geodig Buddy with me for this adventure, sadly pinkducks has grown and flown and my planned day would be something akin to torture so they were not joining in this merriment (in fact after it all there was a touch of censure in a "why do you do this to yourself" kind of way from them, sigh, judgy teens!!) Anyway we had the morning to crack on and get these extra caches before meeting our friends in the afternoon, so I was all ready to get going and then the other half mentioned he had to mow a lawn first...oh...so... not exactly off first thing as apparently mowing someone's lawn at 8am is not a thing. Impatiently waiting for the morning wet to lift and pushed him out soon after 9 assuring him they have kids so will be up already am sure
Finally we were off to the first canal to grab the first lot of awesome puzzle caches and bespoke caches from a talented local CO, we do love his caches but first one we searched for took quite some time to spot which was not in the plan!! Thankfully after that we managed to make good time, up and down the banks, working out the field puzzles as we went.

(log continued.........)
The worst thing from the morning on the canal was we had to walk past other caches in the series because, time people, we didn't have much of it and our eye was on the prize so to speak. I had prepared for this strange and unknown behaviour by deliberately not downloading them onto the day's list otherwise the pull would be too great, but really, walking past caches.... so not me, lol. At least they are along a canal and there are plenty more there for a good day still..... and it is flat.....
Once this area had been drained of the unique DT's we needed we headed home-ish in a rather circuitous route to grab a couple more unique DT's I had spotted when I was planning that were kind of on the "way". We just needed to grab an extra car from home (and have a wee of course) and then off we went to meet our friends. Didn't even allow time for a coffee at home (sorry Pprime if you read this ) but I did allow a to go cup, I am not a monster! We dumped said car at the end of the next canal and zoomed into the parking coords right behind our friends, phew, timing perfect!!!
Now this next series to be fair was a challenge in itself for me as there was an awful lot of UP and down, and then more UP and down [B)]. Those who know me, know I am not particularly a fan of UP. The views were great and the weather held for the afternoon so that is always a bonus over here. It was a great afternoon with friends though, although the legs were complaining and the knees were shouting and saying haven't we done enough this morning already? There were no caches left behind here, because of the UP obviously!!! We pushed on and a successful afternoon, the plan is working!
Onwards to dinner at a pub while waiting for it to be dark enough to start the night cache series, it is a little late in the year for night caching as clocks have gone forward and it isn't dark until after 9pm now but I had been really keen to do this series with our friends and the caches were a bit too close to home so were going to irritate me on the map if we needed to wait until halloween![:o)] So suitably revived and premedicated off we set down a different canal to do the night caches.
This series of night caches looked great on paper and proved to be a super fun series, finding the caches were only the start of the fun as half were field puzzles as well that often tested our collective brainpower which at this point in the days proceedings might have been somewhat faulty! Walking the canal made our different stride lengths even more obvious with everyone else in our little caching party hitting close to 6 foot or taller with long gangly legs, my midget legs were struggling!!
We got stuck on 1 particular puzzle (and it was on my DT list, doh!!) and could not for the life of us work out what the code was to get in the darn thing, however the enforced rest was not a bad thing except the lovely British weather decided to come out in force and the drizzle started to get a little more. Thankfully a quick reminder of what we were already doing and some good ole paper and pen it then jumped out at me and realised we were all really, really overthinking it, doh! To be fair we were all pretty tired by now and flagging fast but we managed to get to the end of the canal finding them all including the bonus, yay us!!! We were also very relieved to see the car was still there so we didn't have to walk all the way back the canal to get to where we had left the other cars, lol.
With messing about with the cars back and forth and then driving home it was 1am before we got home and pretty exhausted, to be fair the dog was knackered as well and he didn't even move off the couch until lunchtime the next day!!

(log continued..... sorry, last one.... promise.....)
On the downside my knees were so, so done, but hey, there are drugs for that, right Fangoski? and there was a big blister under my foot. Owie![B)]
On the upside, I got my final minions fitbit badge for over 32000 steps for the day, yay me! Surprisingly we had no DNF's for the whole day which was incredible in itself, I had factored in an extra 1 DT and had a couple more up my sleeve if things went really south but thankfully not needed.
Now of course the main upside was of course finally qualifying for this cache. Once I had finally written up the logs for the day (and dropped more favourite points then I ever have in one day) and waited the time for project GC to update I could finally, finally see the magic green tick, Woooohoooo!!! Oh and apparently I can't count as managed to get 28 different combos, doh!
So I suspect it was better to wait a respectable amount of time before writing this log as to be fair I was a broken woman the day after and if I had had the energy to write the log then I suspect the CO may have blushed at the profanity directed his way for making me do this challenge (yeah, yeah, I know, I don't HAVE to do the cache, pfft!). I imagine even with the time difference that there was a certain amount of ears burning at certain times through the day when I may or may not have mentioned his name in less than admirable tones.....
For anyone who has read this whole saga thinking it will have any useful information on where this cache is atually hidden, ummmm, sorry..... go look at my note in 2016, sure that will have something useful in it.Maybe..
With no further todo..... the magic green tick list......

To Fangoski, thanks for the challenge, I would apologise for my ramble but, nope, least I can do is make you read my waffle as payback for the challenge!!

Wellll what can I say, I get there eventually!!! Nearly 6 years from signing the log I am back in Oz and having an event the day before I leave that will surely count for this challenge. I was still showing 8 short when I arrived in the country but I was (ahem) somewhat behind in logging including about 15 events..... I had been making great progress on catching up on my logging but hadn't quite got there so there was a hurried logging of enough events to get me there, or so I thought, waited the 24hrs for the checker to update but still short by 2 aargh... so logged the final events in different locations (and hopefully different radii) I still had pending as well as my Oz event but then had to wait another 24hrs to see if I had done it. Back in the UK by the time this happened and a very happy dance at Heathrow when I ran the checker again and got the beautiful green tick!! Whoop whoop!!
Extremely excited to have finally qualified for this cache and to get my smiley!! and although not planned super happy that number 30 was back on Australian soil too.[8)]

After a jam packed couple of weeks visiting family it was sadly time to head back to the UK. We were on the way to the airport today and I had seen this cache previously and it filled a spot in my Jasmer so we made the quick trip into Wangaratta on the way to get this and another cache that filled my other blank spot in my Jasmer. This was a quick stop for myself and big brother Pprime. Info found and photo taken.
Sent info to the CO as required.

After an amazing couple of weeks visiting family and geocaching with big brother Pprime it was sadly time to go back to the UK today. We have had loads of great days and found lots of caches. Hadn't realised this was at the airport when I arrived although it was later in the evening and there were lots of emotions due to it being my 2yr covid delayed trip home so probably just as well really.
Spotted this when on the way to the airport today so after checking in we made a quick detour back outside to grab the required photo to log this great virtual. Such a great idea to have one here. Thanks for placing this virtual for us to find!!

We were on the way to the airport today and I had seen this cache previously and it filled a spot in my Jasmer so we made the quick trip into Wangaratta on the way to get this and another cache that filled my other blank spot in my Jasmer. Big brother Pprime was the driver and while he had no specific need for this cache, it was a cache, so... would be rude not to join in!!
We parked up and did dome counting, did some maths and then wandered over to GZ, only it didn't seem quite right, looked around and widened our search but nothing seemed to fit. We reviewed the numbers we had, decided P couldn't count, redid our maths and boom... GZ looking a lot more likely and the short wander another direction found us at an ideal spot and a cache in hand!
All in good order, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find!!

After a fabulous couple of weeks visiting family and geocaching with big brother Pprime it was sadly time to go back to the UK. Having been told about this cache by P and it being not so much of a detour on the way to the airport it was a resounding yes please from me!!
P parked up near the cache and I went off in search of the treasure. The view was amazing and a really great last memory for me before heading into the city and back to the UK. It seems it was somewhere else entirely when P found it a few years ago and all they saw was my slowly disappearing head as I descended to GZ. Once closeby I spotted a telltale sign and yep there was this fab cache. What an oldie to find and very happy to have another historic cache under my belt.
Cache is in fab order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining such a wonderful cache for me to find!!!

Been out from UK visiting family for the last couple of weeks. This is my last day before flying back home tomorrow so it was a last minute dash about grabbing the adventure lab bonus's and last of the solved puzzles/multi's. Made it up the monument for dawn although sadly no nice sunrise as very overcast.
Having completed the AL I had this bonus in my solved pile so was keen to grab it before leaving town. A quick whizz to GZ this morning and yes indeed there are many options! Was having a bit of a furtile when I had a thought, applied some logic and placed my hand right on it!

After getting the final location information at the monument I then headed to the bonus cache. I parked up near the trailhead and heded up to the cache. I made the bushwhacking a litte more difficult then it needed to be and just as I spotted the cache and headed in that direction I didn't see the remains of a wee tree still in the ground and nearly impaled myself on it. Ah well as they say, it isn't a good caching day if there hasn't been blood!!

The info had been obtained and I sat and admired the river, then I looked all over, saw nothing and went back to where I should have looked first and spotted it instantly.

So glad to meet some locals whose names I kept seeing in log books and also the authors of some terrific caches that have kept me busy while out here. Have really enjoyed my caching adventures and had a great time today at the event. Thanks all for coming and making it lots of fun.
Looking forward to seeing everyone today. May want to bring a jumper though. Not sure what has happened to my lovely Australian weather.

After trying for a sunrise photo and failing I grabbed the last adventure lab location needed and some multi info and then went in search for this cache. A short walk down to GZ and it was found as per hint.

Having completed the AL I had made some good looking coords, parked up nearby and headed off to GZ. This was one of those caches that I seemed to look everywhere around every hint item only to finally go back to the beginning and finally spot it at the first thing I saw, sigh. Sneaky cache!!

We called by here on the way to the event today for a quick and easy find.

Out from the UK visiting family and caching with big brother Pprime. Trip is sadly coming to an end soon and have yet to visit Wonga wetlands ever, so that was this morning's planned adventure dragging a couple of muggles along with us for the fun and trying to squeeze time in with them as well as getting a few more smilies. Multitasking see!!
It was lovely weather this morning, still sunny but a bit of a breeze was around. We parked up and checked out the sculpture first before setting off around the wetlands. We saw lots of different birds but failed to get any decent photos on my phone sadly. Did run into a couple of mobs of kangaroos so that was nice. Lots of info gained then a short walk to the final location and a find by one of the muggles, see they are good to bring along at times.

This was on the solved pile so today was the day to grab these. I had seen this was disabled but took a peek down towards GZ and it seemed ok, nothing unstable, GZ itself is untouched and fine. Made a quick find here - sneaky!!

Well where to start with this one..... it started with a couple of finds and a couple of nights working on puzzles, once prepared we had a couple of hikes up nailcan to get the further information needed and that was all successful and clutching our prized coords we merrily headed for them today. and.... nope.... 2 sets of caching eyes, 2 sets of muggle eyes and we got nothing. So frustrated, but after some time searching we decided we needed to carry on with the morning walk. P messaged the CO and we got a reply before finishing our walk and actually at the perfect point in the walk which doesn't happen much so we felt our luck was in. Back we went with renewed vigour and yes... and no... sigh.... nothing is ever that simple with this CO it seems. Suffice to say we were eventually successful (yay for us) but not without blood sweat and tears.[B)]

Out from the UK visiting family and caching wih big brother Pprime. Off to Corowa for an early lunch today so thought we would have a little walk around here on the way. P had already got most of the caches previously but there were a couple of new ones for him to grab and I hadn't found any so seemed a good way to while away an hour.
Nearly back to the car and could see the awesome tree here and figured it had to be GZ. Glad I didn't have to crawl into the deepest darkest recess here to get the cache though as it seems the spiders hold that domain! Cache was retrieved, lots of lovely swaps in here for some lucky mini cachers to come.

We started the walk at the parking area and headed this direction. Nice easy walking around the track. Could see the likely GZ on approach and a quick and easy find at the first place I put my hand.

We are enjoying our walk around here, lovely easy track. Seen quite a variety of birds which has been nice and some lovely butterflies. We also saw a rather large goanna!!The hint here took us straight to the cache. It is quite wet inside and the log is a very wet mess but did manage to sign it still.

Over from the UK visiting family and out caching with big brother Pprime. We had done the kayak journey down the Murray earlier in the week but had technological issues which meant we didn't find the multi's and were worried about getting the info for this one but with some magic from the CO we could now access the info and get some more clues for this one.
Once the final was worked out it was a hallelujah moment and went on the must grab pile so today was the day when we had the time to go find this one. We weren't sure what to expect and once in the vague vicinity we went bush as no discernible path this time of the year. As we came closer to GZ after some bushwhacking the gps was pointing to a particular feature we had spotted earlier and thought it would make a great place for a cache. And so it was. But the adventure had not finished, it was shoes off and some acrobatics to get to the final resting place and a triumphant pose for the photo. (sadly can't share of course but it is a cool photo!!)There was a rather entertaining "ant dance" being performed while up in his castle, although I have been informed not so entertaining for himself!
All in good order here, log was gratefully signed and replaced as found. Sadly no great splash photos were managed as he kept his balance. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find. It is a very cool location.

Out from the UK visiting family and caching wih big brother Pprime. Off to Corowa for an early lunch today and totally nothing to do with us but the friend I was meeting suggested we have lunch here, so obviously I agreed!! We had been in Corowa a couple of weeks ago caching and I had this on my list to grab but we were here too early so had to skip it. Dead chuffed to be back today so I can grab it now!
We were early here so had time to go look before meeting my friend. I had a wander down and spotted something not quite right and sure enough after a bit of a fiddle there was the log, nice one! Had a great lunch here as well, can recommend the crab tacos![^]

Out from the UK visiting family and caching wih big brother Pprime. Off to Corowa for an early lunch today.
We've been past here a couple of times in our travels over the last couple of weeks and this morning we had some time to spare so P stopped to let me have a look at this one. The plaque is awesome, and obviously perfect for placing a cache here, I mean why not right??
Despite a good search around though the cache was nowhere to be seen. P has found this previously so he had a look and advised it is no longer there. Hope it is ok but we have popped a replacement cache here to help with maintenance. Feel free to delete my log if you would prefer to sort this out otherwise.
Signed the new log and placed it in the obvious hidey hole. Thanks for bringing me here to have a giggle!

Out from the UK visiting family and out caching with big brother Pprime. This had a few parts to it so some solving, some trekking then some more solving. Found all the parts to it clear and easy to find to lead us to the next bit. This morning was the moment to finally grab this one in the final resting place. As opposed to the rest of the cache, the final was a quick easy find just where it should be.

Out from the UK visiting family and doing some caching with big brother Pprime. Getting near the end of my trip and mopping up a few puzzles and caches before I go. This has been on the solved pile for a bit and finally managed to get out to it this morning before heading to Corowa for an early lunch. We parked up and made the short walk up to GZ, started the search but nothing looked quite right around the coords and looking at the hint I moved to a different area a little further away and bingo there it was, hint spot on.

Out visiting family from the UK and doing some caching with big brother Pprime. Today was our Nail Can Hill day. We had done some puzzle solving so had a few to collect although sadly a couple we could not crack. We had convinced the geomum to get up before the birds and drop us the other side of the hill with the plan being to come down Range Rd when we were done which leads us right to home. I am not a fan of up and very slow so we set off on the hike while still dark to get to the top then walked north to the Isolation cache where we started the hunt with the early morning light and then moved south and to the east.
This was the first of the puzzles up here we had solved. I liked the puzzle, it was certainly achievable which is saying something for this area it seems!!! The sun had risen and it was light now and as we approached ground zero I saw something that looked just perfect for a cache and certainly for a parrot and so it was, great hidey spot for a cache. We grabbed the info inside, hopefully we will get to the bonus this week before I go home.

This was another puzzle we managed to solve. I liked this one as well, nice and straight forward. Once again on approach to GZ we spotted what we thought was the place and we were spot on. We have seen plenty of Australian Painted Ladies on our travels which always brightens the day. Grabbed the info from the cache, one step closer to the final!

Out from the UK visiting family and grabbing some caches with big brother Pprime. I had my eye on this one so he came for the drive and short walk to it even though he had already found it. Once in the area of GZ I must admit I was scratching my head a bit as it appeared to point into random grass, but on closer inspection I saw where it would be hiding, The grass is so long at the moment that it is completely hidden. Once I battled the grass and managed to get to GZ I could see the cache on approach and it was soon in my hand.

This was another straight forward cache. I went straight to it for once and then had a little laugh at the container. Very apt!

Enjoying the walk along the ridge, spotted what looked like a great gnome home area and went up to it, just a matter of looking in all the wee spots and there he was. Said hello to the cute fella and popped him back in his home.

We were definitely on the way down now and pleased with how much we got done. This was a short walk off the main track and like its twin cache I spotted a gnome like home place and there he was. Said hi to this fella too, his bottom isn't secure anymore and it is allowimg creatures in, something that likes eating plastic baggies and logs it seems as there were munch signs but the log is still dry and functional currently.

This was the last cache of the walk, nearly out of the reserve on the way home. this was a great place for a cache and nice for a sit down and rest also. I overthought the hint to begin with and searched a different area then figured I was making it too complicated so went back to looking at the most likely place to hide a cache and was rewarded with a cache nicely tucked away.

I made better time then thought so it was still quite gloomy when we got here but the hint led me right to it.

This is a cache we had the info for and so t got added to the days list. After some to-ing and fro-ing we headed for GZ and spotted a likely hidey spot and we were rewarded with a satisfying clunk and a cache in great condition. What a beaitiful spot though and the view was pretty good too. Definitely took a moment to take it all in and a couple of photos. Brilliant place to bring us too! We saw a kangaroo on our way back to the track as well so that was nice too.

This was the second cache of the day and the light was better now. We did have a bit of a hunt about about but finally found it's sneaky spot.

After the near heart attack getting Idle Quarry I huffed and puffed to this cache. Looked in a few spots before I spotted the cache. Container is not shutting properly so not weather proof but surprisingly the log was dry.

This was a puzzle we had solved when I was over in 2016 but we failed to find it at the time. Big brother Pprime had managed to get it at some point after our visit but it is still sat in my list as a solved puzzle so I was keen to avenge the fail. We had been doing errands today so we swung by this on our way home and thankfully made a fairly quick find although getting it out required a bit of finagling. I was pleased to have a smiley there now.

Out from the UK visiting family and caching with big brother Pprime. My time is winding down so mopping up some straggler caches, puzzles we have solved etc. This is one of those.
We solved this one back at the start but hadn't been in this particular area. Out doing errands in Wodonga so came past this on the way home. This is one of those that P put his hands on the cache at the start but then moved on, It was only once we discounted evrything else that we went back to where we started and we figured out it was the cache. Nice one. I like this!

I had this on my map as being within cooee of where we were going today and figured we were ahead of time so may as well pop down to it.... ummmm..... well.... I was about half way down and the path which had been uneven and very down suddenly went very steep and looked quite daunting. I was well aware that every step down meant another step up and I must have stood and dithered for 5 minutes as to whether to keep going down or cut my losses and go back up at this point and ignore this cache. Not sure if it is easier to get to from below or not. I had decided to go back up but then I was reminded that we had heaps of time, so... I caved, and kept going, picking my way very carefully as quite worried I might slip and upset my already angry knees even further.
Eventually got to GZ and oh dear, there was more down. I wasn't sure if I could get down the rock being rather vertically challenged and also, angry knees.... But I managed it. Luckily once there I went straight to the cache for an "easy" find once risked life and limb getting there! surprisingly with how bad I am at going UP, I found the up easier and less worrying, just huffed and puffed a lot getting there, but very pleased to have managed this cache and feel I earned every part of the T3.

We dropped in to grab this one on the way past to get another couple of caches as figured we could cut cross country on the way back and would miss this one. I started looking at the likely spots around the base but noting the T4 figured it was a case of a bit more UP! Slowly picked my way up and then spotted a likely spot, at least it was half the hint anyway but enough to count and cache was soon in hand.
