Logs for kpnuts18

Our last few hours here before we fly back to U.K. and a great cache to finish with after lunch at the surf club with TIDM. It burned up a few of the calories, but worth the effort!
Loved the cache name and a fav point for that alone!

Quite an adventure getting to GZ, passing some huge spiders in webs on the way!
Soon found when we got there and thanks for the adventure, our grandchildren loved it.

We approached this with doubts following recent logs, but it is still there and in fine condition! We do hope it can carry on as it’s in such a good and accessible situation, perfect for families to find if they realise that caches can be disguised a little!

With dnaylor15 after walking to Witches Falls. We’re being shown the area on our trip from the UK and thankfully only had to get rid of one leech this time! A lovely place to spend a day. Found easily before adjourning for a beer and some lunch. TFTC

Over from England visiting friends in Roma. We’d been at the cattle sales and came here for grandchildrens’presents. Had a look around and thought out where the cache had to be and it was found after a bit of trial and error!
Sorry to read such brief comments made by many of the logs! Don’t be put off jpgordo you’re doing a great job!

We were showing our friend’s son how to geocache and thankfully we found this one fairly easily thanks to the hint and we’re able to direct him to find it himself as well. Think we’ve got a convert here! TFTC
We’ve interested our friend’s son in Geocaching and this is his second cache and found without any help from us! We’re benefiting from his efforts! We’re leaving now for home but he’ll be trying for more caches around Roma.

What a beautiful situation that we would never have visited without looking for this cache. A fav point deservedly and we’ll remember this one when we’re back in England!
Not the most interesting cache site now, but quickly found by our grandchildren after a bike ride from the ferry. On now to the beach caches hopefully!
12-Apr-18
Six of us searched but no joy and as we’re not the first to record DNF, we have a strong feeling it’s gone! Pity as the situation is great!
This one found by our granddaughter who was thrilled and wanted to do some more, but a cup of tea was needed back in Varsity Lakes. She’ll be back! TFTC
A quick stop and there it was. Now to get a couple more hopefully on the drive back to the Goldie.
Visiting from U.K. and what a lovely spot and some good coffee as well! Not quite as straightforward as it first appears but we found it with dnaylor74 and kids! A fav for the view!

We're from the UK, visiting family and introducing them to geocaching and what a great place for them to start! TFTC. A fav given for the situation!

It is indeed damaged as the container is in two halves that cannot be joined! The log is full so we’ve left some paper that can suffice for a while. It is likely to get wet when it rains and does need looking at. Thanks for bringing us here and it’s much more peaceful than walking alongside the road.
How handy on the start of our walk back to our hotel from the River and we’ve been looking for a cache container large enough to leave the TB we brought with us from the U.K. and this one is huge! A lovely day to walk round the city and we’ve been very impressed! TFTC and a fav point as well!

Our first visit to Melbourne from the U.K and what a beautiful place this is. Thanks for bringing us to this part as we might well have missed it. Thankfully an easy find as the area was very busy being the Easter weekend. Sadly the TB I’d brought wouldn’t quite fit the container so better luck next time!
Our 2nd in Oz since arriving here from the U.K. and had a good walk round St Kilda on a beautiful day. We climbed up from the beach and had to work out how to get to right to GZ. Managed it and once there worked out what the strange hint meant! A bit quieter as it was about beer time and that’s where we then headed. Thanks for bringing us here for a good view over the beach.

Whoops got mixed up here! It was a large cache and a good deal more than 20m awsy from the GZ shown by my phone, but the hint was good!
A first find for my son who might now start his own list to teach navigation to his children! He was amazed at how small a cache can be.

Very straightforward and just what our grandson wanted after finding the other "baby" cache.
Thanks for very good intros to the game for my daughter-in-law. We might have a convert!

Found with great excitement by our 3 year old grandson! Hidden treasure he thought and then wanted to find more! Thankfully very quiet this morning so a relaxed quick search
Liked it and the hint was very clever! Here from the UK visiting family and introducing them to the game.
Had high hopes after #3 but had no luck on this one. Got the hint but sadly had to give up. Some of the other comments didn't help our confidence! Pity as we don't like failure and we'd enjoyed #3 down the road.
14-Feb-15
No need to be concerned about the staff at the museum as they know full well about the cache, although not about geocaching! They've been sworn to secrecy! Rather impractical to find this one during opening hours in a secretive way. Liked the hint
In Brisbane for the Valentine Busk where my daughter-in-law played her ukelele and her band came 4th. The Guinness Record for the number of buskers in one place was smashed. See it in the 2016 Edition! This is our umpteenth trip from England to see family and had a great day, helped by finding a great cache.

Our first cache in Oz after a trip to New Zealand from England and now visiting our son and family in Varsity Lakes.
Someone can't count the steps as we got 6!
Left Canadian Postal Bear tbat we found in Auckland and he can now have adventures over here. He's been all over the world in the last 9 years, so do look after him whoever takes him next.We thought of taking him back to England but he hasn't been to Oz before and he'll enjoy the new places he'll visit.
Left a London pin badge and took a little pink heart shaped paper clip.

Here on a trip from England and enjoying the Botanical Gardens.
What a sneaky one but very clever! Found it purely by chance when we were near to giving up.

Staying in Oban on a birding trip from the UK. Very handy cache as we're staying at the South Sea Hotel. What a lovely spot and the sun's now shining after the storm.
What a great place for a geocache! We're from UK and birdwatching all over NZ and this is somewhere special plus great pelagics too.So many albatrosses we lost count!
02-Feb-15
Over from the UK and had a great pelagic trip to see albatrosses and other sea birds. Walked the cliff path after lunch and got to the viewpoint and answered the questions. Very interesting. Thank you!

Oh dear! Staying in Foxton for the night on a bird watching trip from the UK and this was near our motel, but search as we might couldn't find it, which was a pity as one of the party was interested and we failed to impress!
25-Jan-15
On a birdwatching holiday from the UK and staying 300 metres away, so couldn't resist a short walk to GZ. This is our 2nd find in NZ, the first in Auckland and hopefully might do some more in Christchurch. Great to be away from the snow at home and great too to have seen a Blue Duck on the nearby river this morning! A memorable day!

Just arrived from England and went for a walk to fight jet lag and to see the Parnell rose garden and swimming pool. Saw the cache was nearby and it made my first outside the UK so quite excited.
Took the Canadian Postal Bear and will help it on its adventures, either in NZ, Oz , or back home in a few weeks in England.
