Logs for rvhunters

09-Nov-15
Fourth for the day. Took th e 12 volt sub charger, and left a Canadian Forces Geocoin that wants to travel from airbase to airbase, eventually ending up at Edwards Airforce Base in California.

Thanks for the cache

Our first find of the day, during our stay in the lovely town of Bowral, after I photographed the geocoin in front of the Bowral Cenetaph, where I intend to be at 11AM on Remembrance Day.

Took nothing, but left a Canadian Forces Geocoin that wants to travel to Cenotaphs and War Cemetaries throughout the world, eventually getting to Menin Gate in Belgium. If you have never been there, you need to visit it at dusk every day, where Last Post is bugled every sundown. It is both humbling, and inspiring that after the 100+years since World War I the local citizenry still plays tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to free their country.

Please help me honour those who gave their lives for the freedom we all take for granted, by photographing the Geocoin at Cenotaphs and War Memorials, as well as war grave cemetaries.

Thanks for the cache.

Third cache of the day, and we had lunch at the sundial. Nice overviews, and the cache is hidden well, although passers-by will see you there.

Took nothing, but left a Canadian Forces Geocoin that would like to travel all around Australia.

Thanks for the cache.

Our second find of the day during our stay in Bowral.....beautiful countryside!!!

Took nothing, but left the Morph travel bug.

There is no more room in the log, and it needs to be replaced. Sorry, but I didn't have one with me, or I would have done that.

Thanks for the cache.

04-Nov-15
Found it after dodging the muggles at the lookout bench. Took nothing, but p it a travel bug into the cache. The travel bug beer hart that this site indicates should be in the cache is missing.
Thanks for the cache.

29-Oct-15
Found it very easily and with no juggles around. Dropped off a geocoin that was taken to North America by mistake. We made a special effort to get it back to Australia, where it wants to get to Ayer's Rock.....a second time.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it after a bit of a search. There were muggles playing beach rugby nearby, but we were hidden from their view.

Took a travel bug, and left one that wants to be the first to visit 60 countries, so please move it along on its journey.

Thanks for the hide.

10-Dec-07
Found it without much difficulty, although the snake tracks put us off a bit. Had a Kiwi georookie with me, who appears to be hooked. Took Emu, left Hugo's Ozzie Adventures TB.

TFTC

Found with a georookie from NZ. I suspect he might be hooked on the sport.

Took Signal Uluru geocoin, left Alice the Camel geocoin.
The cache was soaked, so we cleaned out the junk (set batteries, plus the shampoo that caused the problem) and dried out the cache. The sponsor might want to visit the cache in the near future, to make sure it is not leaking.

By the way, only one of the three TBs listed was in the cache.

07-Dec-07
Third and last cache of the day, with georookies from Canada, Mexico and Germany. They are no longer muggles!

Took Hugo's Ozzie Adventures TB and will move him along.
Left Katy Koala TB so she can continue her travels with others.

T4TC

Our first find of the day with four ex-muggles from Canada, Germany and Mexico.

Took Alice the Camel TB, left Feslope 1 TB.

TFTC

By the way, the Diabetes TB does not appear to be in the cache.

27-Nov-07
Found it without too much trouble, but was unable to log in that we had dropped the Globetrotter TB into the hotel.

TFTC

Totally correct about it being an easy find. TNLN. T4TC.

I would probably rate the terrain as a 3 rather than a 4, but it's a nice climb. Follow the clues and you will get there without much problem.

Took the Beetles TB and will move it west to Darwin or Alice Springs. Left the Happy Camper TB.

T4TC.

26-Nov-07
Fairly easy find. TNLN. We did not find the A-O-K G'day TB in the cache.

T4TC.

21-Nov-07
We found it without too much trouble, although it is only 1.5 m uphill of the stump.

Took the happy camper TB, left Canadian Cacher lapel pin.

TFTC.

We looked briefly, but with all the muggles around we couldn't do a proper search.

TFTC.

We got within 168 metres and turned back. There didn't appear to be a trail to the cache and as it looked like it might rain we wanted to be back down the hill before it got wet and slippery.

19-Nov-07
Found it today after we were at the Australian Zoo, which was where Steve Irwin had his show.

Took geoswag gecoin and left Jock the Scottish Travel Bug. TFTC.

10-Nov-07
Lots of muggles around here on a Sunday, but we were able to get to the cache when no one was looking.

Took the globe Travel Bug, and left a Canadian Forces Geocoin.

TFTC.

09-Nov-07
Lots of muggles around, but we timed our visit so that no one would be the wiser. Left a Viking Travel Bug, took wee Jock the frugal Scotsman that wants to hitch hike around the world.
TFTC.

07-Nov-07
Just re-visiting so I can drop my coin off.

Thhis cache was almost a "did not find" after about 45 minutes, then I started rooting around in some areas with my stick, and could hear the different sound of the stick hitting the cache instead of rocks. So trust your GPS, as the cache ended being right at Ground Zero for me!

One thing to note is that there is a large bee hive (or maybe wasp.....I didn't look to closely)in the rocks about 8 metres south of this cache, so beware where you walk!

I took the Little Leaping Lizard travel bug, and will check with its owner to see if he/she wants it to continue to travel in Australia, or wants to move on to other countries.

I also broke the Viking geocoin out of prison, as its owner asked that it not be left in a TB hotel.

I started one of my Canadian Forces geocoins off on what I hope will be a tour around Australia.

Thanks for the cache.

Logging in to say that the Diabetes Travel Bug does not appear to have been dropped in this cache, as I retrieved it from Spoonerism the cache.

Found it with ease compared to the last cache. The Scuba geocoin was not there, which is unfortunate as I had hoped to take it with me to the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow. It seems to be a trend down under that the TBs and coins listed in the cache aren't there. So I TNLN, but thanks for the cache.

05-Nov-07
We were there, but we got muggled out and couldn't search for it too much. Thanks for the walk around the lake, though.

Found it without too much trouble. Took the Diabetes Travel Bug, left a British Columbia geocoin keychain (not a registered geocoin). Thanks for the cache, and for bringing us to this site.

Found it fairly easily. TNLN. TFTH.

Found it after a good chase. No muggles around, although a bunch of motorcyclists were bombing around in the area. TN. Left Signal Geocoin which wanted to be placed in a multi.
TFTC.

01-Nov-07
Found it fairly easily, our second of the day. TNLN. Did not see the travel bug.
TFTC

Found it without too much difficulty. Took the golden coin and left a silver and golden coin from Mexico. Thanks for the hide.

31-Oct-07
Found it, even though it was 19 metres from ground zero. I saw no evidence of a travel bug. TNLN. TFTC

The coordinates were about 19 metres from the cache, but we found it without much difficulty ...... thanks for the spoiler. TNLN. Did not see the geocoin either, and that's the third cache where the bug or coin have not been in the cache. Regardless, thanks for the cache.

29-Oct-07
Could not find this one. The spoiler isn't of much use with so many small bushes around.
Thanks for establishing the cache anyway.

Our first find down under, and a fairly easy one. TN LN TFTH.

Unfortunately, there was a group of muggling students learning how to rappel/abseil when we got to the site. So, we didn't find this cache.
