Logs for childofatom

I'm headed West for my new job in Ogden, Utah. I have a few caches picked out along the way, some state's oldest, some high favs, and some D/T combos, or Jasmer dates that I need... and of course a few extras.
When I discovered that I was going to be driving across the country I adjusted my entire trip by a couple hundred miles, moving it down from the suggested I-90 down to I-70. It may have added some mileage, but it made the opportunity to make this find possible.
Thanks for the cache!

I'm headed West for my new job in ogden, Utah. I have a few caches picked out along the way, some state's oldest, some high favs, and some D/T combos, or Jasmer dates that I need... and of course a few extras.
I wasn't going to pass up such an old cache so near to me, so I made this one a priority. When I parked and made my way out to the cache I was reading some previous logs about getting wet and muddy. I had tennis shoes on, but surely with the new road that wasn't going to be a problem, right? Then I got to the cache and saw that there was a rather deep ditch full of water between me and where the arrow was pointing. However, one of the benefits of going caching with half your worldly belongings packed into a truck is that you have your rubber boots with you! I turned around and went back to the truck and spent a few minutes trying to locate the right bag, and retrieved the knee high "wellies" that I keep for just such an occasion. Once I hiked back to the cache location I was able to get in with no problem at all! Hooray for having the right "tool of the trade" close at hand.
Thanks for keeping this old cache alive!

Last day in Sydney on my OzGeoMuster vacation, and I am gathering a few of the nearby caches so that I can log them, as well as gathering a few "Mystery at the Museum" clues, which this cache held. Swung through this great park on my way back to Darling Harbor to catch a whale watching cruise. Answers sent via message system.
Stopped by today to buy a ticket to tonight's performance of Madama Butterfly (it was good, set was nice, costume design was... wildly strange and I'm not sure I understood some of the choices...) and so I took a few minutes to collect the required info here (plus it had a Mystery at the Museum clue!) Thanks for the cache. Answers sent via messaging system.

Last day in Sydney on my OzGeoMuster vacation, and I am gathering a few of the nearby caches so that I can log them, as well as gathering a few "Mystery at the Museum" clues, which this cache hold. Had a brief encounter with some other tourists while taking the selfie for the cache because they thought I was shooting ahead of me, not behind me and didn't want to get into my shot! Thanks for the cache.

Another Mystery at the Museum clue available, so I also took a few minutes here to grab the info needed to log this one as well. Thanks for the second cache!
Cruising around the park and gathering waypoints today on my last day in town. This was a lovely afternoon. I had a great conversation with the artist in residence, as well as having a look at all the great and beautiful plantings. Thanks for the tour! I came by with EatSleepCacheReport, she needed it to complete her Jasmer, but I was happy to come along for the ride, and then we discovered that it was Australia's firt multi, which made it even more eventful! Thanks for the cache!
Over for the Oz GeoMuster event, and now I'm touring around the city. Came by here to pick up the virtual nearby that has a D/T combo that I needed and hung out to get a few of the trads that are also available on the island. Thanks for the cache!
A few years ago I had the crazy idea that I'd start working to complete a Fizzy for each individual type of cache. I have completed Traditionals and (of course) Unknowns, and now I'm working on the others. This was a combo that I needed for my multi-grid, so it became a target while I was in the area. It was fun learning about the individual people, and the hide and find are top notch! Thanks for the cache! FP from me.

An honor to be a part of tidying up a country that has been so gracious and welcoming. Thanks for the cache.
After the CITO a group of us came over the have a look at this one. Watched MarcusVitrivius go up and then thought I'd have a go. They strapped me in and I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out what muscle group I needed to be focusing on and what movements to be doing. Quite a learning curve! Thanks for an adventure.

Post Signal event MarcusVitrivius, Frisky Puppet and GearGuru and I came down to have a look at this one. Checked the GPS and started the walk in. After a bit we all remarked that it seemed to be a lot further than the distance the GPS had indicated at the beginning, but we carried on in good faith, chatting and laughing. Once we emerged from the tunnel and had a look around we all checked the GPS again and realized that we were now over a K away and that the arrow was pointed back to the tunnel! Lesson learned, read the description thoroughly....
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Gathered with Signal in a beautiful spot! Thanks for the cache!
Came by to make this log after the event by the lighthouse. Thanks for the cache!
