OK, well having tried this one 3 weeks ago and given up looking for the needle in the haystack I went back and found it in less than 3 minutes! Thanks for the HIDEOUS cache... LOL... suggest wearing longs, long sleeve shirt and wearing gloves ! I don't like failures- so had to nail this wee test !

After an earlier attempt where I :- Had a VERY good poke around for this- I'm sure I had it nutted out but perhaps my fat fingers and my pencil were not quite right for this one- will go back better armed soon. I hope it is still there and that I had it figured correctly!
I went back and nailed this one...I had actually probably had my fingers on this several times without knowing it....and had even spotted the missing seal previously mentioned...which I have now put back on...(although it is split) ...and the additional clues emailed to me where more misleading in some ways than the initial clue ! But having yesterday found another similar one I knew I must have had it right first time...and YES ! TFTC, it deserves a slightly harder rating IMHO... glad to have solved it finally

I guess this is a 'found it'...,.being virtual and all- although the real thing is far more dramatic....On the eventfull morning I was driving to work and heard the news on the radio, I couldn't believe it to start with- sounded like a radio station prank, but on arriving at work the few TV's that were about(more arrived as the day went on with people bringing them in with them) were latched onto whichever channel had the latest news. I have since visited the site in New York and it is VERY sobering !

Found it, great area, shame about the state of repair of this historic place though

My first FTF.... and I left a worthwhile carrot for someone- a couple of trackables- so lets see where they go next....

Well this one is a toughy- a fair bit of disturbance in this area since EQ so it may need some maintenance done on it ?
That friendly local spoilt this one a little- but then again he might have saved me a bit of time as the light was failing fast and I still had to get home on the mtb !
On first visit I couldn't locate despite having a pretty good idea where it was likely to be.....maybe the tides had taken it ? Resigned myself to revisit it soon...and with that I found it the next day- easier when the muggles are thiner on the ground !

Nice tricky one Some bounce of gps off of surrounds added to the pleasure of cracking it.
Found it but the overnight rain seemed to have made the twisting and pulling some what jammed- will have to revivist to get into it !
20-Nov-10
Found after a bit of trouble with tree shielding gps signal, container missing, soggy notebook found only- needs replacing as too wet to write in
Nice find/hide- alas as previously mentioned...earlier visitor has overtightened - I didn't force it open.
06-Nov-10
Had to return a second time as those pesky little muggles were about the first time
