Logs for GEOTRECAZ
03-Jul-24
Staying nearby on our way to a Cuttlefish tour, we decided to look for this one. Found and logged! Thanks.
Found this one after our Cuttlefish Tour. Saw lots of Cuttlefish, then found this one. Old logs certainly helped! Thanks.

As old mates of Liz and Bruce’s, we had to look for this one while in town. Trev made a quick find before we left.
Thanks Liz and Bruce.

jnjgopatrolling recently noted that the container at Endurance is cracked and needs replacing, and also that the pen is missing. We are unable to get to the cache for some time, so wondered if a cacher finding Endurance would be able to replace the container and pen for us please.

Came into the town to have our lunch at the nearby rest stop, then seeing this nearby, decided to look for it. We were successful in our first find for ages. Thanks for the opportunity!

'The Pimple' has been archived as its location has been mined for the materials to be used to make repairs on nearby roads that were washed away in recent heavy rain.
The historic elevated position that gave the cache its name, is no longer there.

A quick find on a cooler morning on our last day in Woomera for the 75th reunion. TNLN. Thanks Hurtle!
It’s very disappointing to have to disable this cache after 19 years and 455 visits.
Visiting Woomera for the 75th Anniversary of the town, we came to The Pimple today to check on it.
Unfortunately we need to disable it after mining of the rocks in the hill has obviously mined the geocache as well. The rubble was probably used for road building repairs after recent flooding in the Woomera area.
It’s obvious that this mining will continue, so we were unable to relocate the cache nearby.

Camped overnight nearby & walked to the pub for a delicious dinner.
Caz found the cache this morning in light rain & loved the ingenuity of it. TNLN thanks.

Our first trip to Birdsville in a while, and great to have a couple of finds. Thanks Freddo.

Found on our way back to Melrose after a tag along to Blesing’s Garden. TNLN thanks.

Look for this one so that we could do any required maintenance for the Green Gecko Gang. There were a few people around but we managed to find it, replace the log book that was damp and damaged, bag it, then Trev found a replacement container amongst his gear in the van. All fixed GGG. Trecaz Trakkie visited. We've been wanting to find this one for a long time.

Wandered over to find this one a short distance from where we were camped. TNLN. Thanks thewhitedoggang for another find on our Covid escape north.
27-Aug-20
Unfortunately we had to abort finding this one when we were within three metres of the GZ. We were with friends and are all in our seventies, so were reluctant to take the risk for the saje of a find.

Visited this one again today on our way to 'The Full Picture'. Luckily we stopped by as we found it in the open, so rehid it for our friends Liz & Bruce.
After leaving our overnight camp at Arckaringa, we decided to take the long route to Coober Pedy, and stopped to find this one on the way. Thanks Mac & Missus for a find on our outback Covid escape.
We were pleased to notice this one was so close after we set up the van in the nearby free camp. Halfway through Happy Hour after the place was a bit quieter, we wandered up for an easy find. TNLN. Thanks SA_Parrothead.
25-Aug-20
Found this one just after having coffee at the Pink Roadhouse. TNLN. Thanks GPS for another find in the outback as we wander on our Covid escape.
23-Aug-20
Made this place our lunch stop on our trip up the track today. TNLN, but Trecaz Trakkie visited. Thanks Mac & Missus for a find on our Covid escape.

Drove the rig up here to look for this one as we were leaving the campground. Sad place. TNLN. Thanks Hurtle for bringing us here.
We could see this one easily from a distance, and when we got there, found that the lid was broken. Luckily we had a new one to replace it, then tucked it in out of sight to passers by. Thanks Hurtle. We love seeing these old structures along the track.
Pulled in to find this one and have a look at the structure. Made an easy find and had a look around, but it's disappointing that people need to graffiti these historic buildings. Thanks for encouraging us to stop and see past the graffiti Hurtle.
With not as many muggles around as usual, we were able to make a quick find as we left the area after spending the night in the campground. TNLN. Thanks GPS.
We've stayed here before, but gave it a miss this time after having pasties for lunch from the servo/bakery, and topping up water from the new desalination plant. Thanks one-eyed for giving us a find at the end of the bitumen.
19-Aug-20
It was a very windy, dusty day when we stopped in the nearby rest area and battled the wind walking to our find. TNLN. Thanks Freddo.
17-Aug-20
We planned to stop and look for this one as our morno's stop for today on our Covid escape north. Great to make a FTF after such a long geocaching drought. TNLN. Thanks for giving us another reason to stop Freddo the Chocolate Frog!
A quick stop on our way to fuel up at Arkaroola before coming back to head north towards the Strzlecki Track. TNLN. Thanks Burton's for giving us a find on our Covid escape.
16-Aug-20
Camped nearby here last night and walked up the hill for a quick find. TNLN. Thanks whitedoggang for giving us another reason to come to this historic site.
Looked for this one as we left this historic site after camping up the hill overnight. Friend Linda was the first to spot it as it was exposed, so after logging it, we tucked it away out of sight. Thanks Funky G.O. for giving us a find on our outback Covid escape.

Stopped and found this one on our way home from a 5 week trip north. TNLN, but Trecaz Trakkie visited. Thanks FLIPPER&CO!
Clever hide and a morno’s stop in our way home from our 5 week trip. Thanks FLIPPER&CO.
Easy find, then 20 minutes of agony as our aging arthritic fingers manipulated the log.
A real nano pest Frooty Loopy Cat!

We really wanted to find this one. Caz searched late yesterday and we both looked this morning, but like the previous searcher, found no sign of it. Thanks Samboychips, we’ll try again one day if we’re ever up this way again.

Found while staying in LOXTON and looking for a nearby burger joint that remained unfounded. An interesting structure, thanks crane2.
Missed looking for this one on our way out of town, but found it on our way back. TNLN. Thanks locus cache.
Like others, we had trouble retrieving this one, but eventually had it in hand, just as a passerby offered us oldies assistance. Was he a local catcher? Don’t know, but we appreciated his offer, even if not needed. TNLN. Thanks Moneydork.
We’re not normally keen to look for multi’s, but after seeing a Daisy Bates plaque at Oodlea on another trip, the connection to Daisy Bates had us looking for this one. Made the find while another sort of treasure hunters used their detectors nearby. TNLN. Thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin
Thanks for bringing us to these historic little graves that we otherwise would have overlooked. Thanks postiegirl and crane2. TNLN.
Found today as we toured Loxton. Loved the wooden carvings and also the native plant garden. Thanks Adopted by Aussie M & M.
Found today while staying in Loxton. We both remember Nissan Huts at Gepps Cross, and Trev visited friends there when he was a kid. TNLN. Thanks for the trip down memory lane crane2.
Came in here specifically to look for this one. Interesting building nearby. TNLN thanks River Dolphins.
A quick find on our way back to the caravan for Trev to have a nap. Thanks for another find crane2.
23-Aug-19
Easy find this morning when leaving Charleville. TNLN. Thanks TeamThommo.
20-Aug-19
Travelling through Longreach today we decided to visit Endurance to check it for maintenance, and catchers Trakkiephiilin were with us to make their first find.
How lucky we we that we came today! We were disappointed to see that probably the previous finder had left it completely exposed, and visible to anybody.
This iconic cache has been in place since 2002 and deserves better treatment.
We removed rubbish items & previous full log book, added a TB and a few swaps including a pathtag, and rehid the container.
