Visited with KOPAC from Taranaki on a MTB expedition. Devastated as the forested part of the tour was closed meaning we missed out on 2 of the answers. Pity, as we were going really well up to that point. 

A nice wander around during a cycling explore of the area. Interesting how many people died by drowning in the old days. Then found cache and spent a couple of hours curling (our new best sport, what a lot of fun it is).

In fact we got to the correct location and found the road maintenance crew, so had to leave it. Going back to NZ so can't try again later. Nice spot. Jacqui + Neil (NZ) 

Great location for a picnic in the shade. Thanks for putting the cache here, otherwise I'd never have stopped. Picked up TB Easter Bear East to take over the Tasman with us. WIll give him to a friend to put in a westerly NZ spot ready to go further east. Jacqui + Neil (NZ)

Found the location and confirmed it by several methods. Could not find the cache. It is a very public place, maybe the cache was moved by a helpful member of the public, or even cleaned up by DOC staff
