Great place to stop for lunch. We met up with a Dutch couple visiting NZ here and luckily had the right tool to fix a problem with one of their bikes. Great for International relations! Cache is all good. TFTC

Found the nano but there was no log - it was totally empty. Had a slice of waterproof paper with us so we put it in until a proper log can be replaced. Cache is all good for now. TFTC

On our bikes enjoying the salt marshes when we came across this one. Full tide & windy, so we had no great expectations about having an exhaustive look. We found another possible scenario & were about to comment on this & post a DNF when we had one last quick just in case check & there it was. Cache is all good. TFTC
So good to find we had the right TOTT to hand, but it still took a bit of time to complete the task. However, we were pleased to find the regular stream of passers by all checked to see if everything was OK . Yeah, yeah, it's just another Macwatt cache we were tempted to say... But didn't. Luckily we work in pairs, so one sat in the open, brightly greeting everyone before they could suspect the other of doing something furtive in the bush... even though he was! Earns a fave from us. Cache is damp, but no problem. TFTC

Very pleasant stroll around the wetlands to break our travel from Taupo - and for an excuse to gain another smiley. Just enjoyed the sunshine and also watched a small plane have an exciting landing in the wind. Cache is all good. TFTC

New troll on the block can't decide quite where to live & is still getting itself sorted out. However, we respected it's decision and put it back where we found it - with a TB to keep it company for a while. Cache is all good . TFTC

Loving all the birdsong on this lovely walk. I was a bit bemused to be looking for a sea lion here, but all came clear when we finally got there! Obviously I wasn't the one holding the GPS, just the one acting on instructions. Great cammo - earns (our last) fave point from us Cache is all good . TFTC
After waffling around looking unsuccessfully for the proper turn off for #5 - it was always around the next corner - until it wasn't... We turned off along a likely looking path to this one. "Are you lost" asked a local concerned about the direction we were taking... "No, no", we said, confidently following our chosen beeline, checking out the trees like almost experts by now. And sure enough, it was still bee-having itself, hiding in plain sight. Cache is all good . TFTC

Lovely detour, we are enjoying all the birdsong on this walk. This bush seems to be a popular exercise area as it is quite busy with passing locals. Cache is all good . TFTC

Took the uphill hike but unfortunately didn't find any boardwalk. We hunted for quite a while around the co-ords, but unfortunately couldn't make sense of where to look and so didn't find it. TFTC
This was an area new to us so it was an interesting detour and surprisingly busy with families all heading for a swim. Enjoyed the cammo doing this cache. Cache is all good . TFTC. Note: We enjoyed our visit to the beach, but unfortunately found the other caches too hard for us to achieve, so left them for more adventurous cachers. Didn't post a DNF as we didn't look hard enough for them. Love the work you put into your caches Geckoh, we have had a great day out.

We were pleasantly caught in the act here, having just failed to find anything where we thought it should be - along came KiwiGilbert with some good intel and joined in the search. Well the weather has been just too good lately, so we we have been tempted out on our bikes to check a few of the local parks and placements. This area is new to us. Added a TB to the cache. Cache is all good. TFTC
