Logs for Rhombus

24-Sep-16
First one for ages.

30-Sep-12
Very nice climb. A bit easier than the one up Mt Toolbrenup the day before! Found on the way down after viewing the platform and then exploring the crevices that go completely under Castle Rock. I had motivation to do this courtesy of a smaller/younger version of me but containing way more energy!

Quick find on the way home from the days strenuous activity.
Cheers!

29-Sep-12
Great day for the climb, with blue skies.
Found on the way down. Thanks tango!

17-Apr-12
Took a little persistance. Worth it in the end. Tftc.

Beautiful autumn morning for a cache.

16-Apr-12

12-Nov-11
Quick find on the way to the shops. Thanks.

06-Nov-11
Finally found time to shoot over on our bikes and nab this one.
Cant say i have ridden in this part of our local area. Good ride!
Have enjoyed Frenzal Rhomb's music for many years. They can put on a great live show where anything could happen, and it usually does! haha.
Thanks for the puzzle. Rhombus.

29-Oct-11
Well, this took me a year to work out (off and on again), but in the end col117 had to give a tiny hint. It clicked straight away - being a big fan. I feel like a cheat, but it was still very satisfying collecting it after so long. Thanks Col.
Watch out Frenzal, your next!

01-Jun-11
Yay. Quick find while getting some milk. Handy!

Quick find during a lunchbreak while in the area. A bit tricky. Hard to search when ppl are around. Thanks!

28-May-11
Yay, found it - gotta love local caches!. Had us stumped for a minute as we didnt realise a nano was this size. TFTH.
Rhombus.
BTW, i said gday to the Koi for you.

10-Sep-10
Always wanted to visit this place as I had heard of an airfield near by.
I now know where it is, and a bit of history too!
Found the cache, a dead bobtail, a dead rabbit and two brilliant blue Splendid Fairy Wrens (they were alive).
Didn't see any UFOs, but junior#1 was on the keen lookout.
TFTH - Rhombus

07-Aug-10
Lots of muggles around on a Saturday.
Just had to be patient.
Great to get out again after a long (geocache) break.

04-Oct-09
Haha - good hide.
I like it when a bit of work goes into a cache.
It was good to get out of the house on a Sunday afternoon.
Thanks.

28-Sep-09
Well, got to the top and turned on my gps to see how accurate the altitude reading was, and a geocache was within reach!
Bonus. So the kids and i went hunting with the little remaining energy we had.
Had nothing to swap. TFTH.

25-Jul-09
Out early on a Saturday morning - pre dawn!
Enjoyed the chase. TNLN Cheers.

06-May-09
Finished work and decided to do a quick hunt before the sun went down. Not too difficult - thanks!
Went and had a beer (or few), grabbed a room for the night, and a meal from the pub. Have to head in to work again at midnight to re-arrange some local telecommunications circuits, then back to the big smoke 2moro.

28-Sep-08
Found the cache with a few friends who were quite impressed!
Great walk, with an awesome view from the top.
Really liked the walk from saddle to summit.
Took carabiner, left whistle.
Thanks.

25-Apr-08
A beautiful Anzac day hunt!
Red-tailed cockatoos showed us their red 'brake lights' as they flew past.
TNLNSL
Thanks a lot.

07-Apr-08
Well, I think this geocache has been trashed. I'm sorry i cant fix it right away as my local maintainers (parents) have shifted away from the area. I hope to be in the area very soon.

07-Jul-07
A quick stop before heading on to our destination for the week. Had been a couple of yrs since we had been up this way and were surprised how fast the view had changed!
TNLNSL. Thanks.

04-Jun-07
Took a while to find it but succeeded after a while. Came in from the east so missed the old bridge. Oh well.
TNLTSL Cheers.

Four days into winter and the bubbling brook was dry.
Just as well as one of the kids would have probably fallen in!
Great walk - Thanks

Largest cache we have found!
1st find at the start of our walk.
Thanks

20-May-07
Really enjoyed the walk with the kids. Have had trouble with these types of hidden spots, but not today - yay!

The start of a nice stroll.
Thanks.

Good find, great spot.
Thanks

17-Oct-06
My favourite part of the world! Even saw a pod of whales in distance while searching.
BTW - crayboat still on shoreline.
TNLNSL
Thanks for the exercise.

02-Oct-06
Yeah, looks like the 1st sign is gone. The whole site has had an overhaul - new roads, lanscaping, shelters, and roll-on lawn!
The 2 kids would have been very dissappointed, so decrypted the clues and went straight to the cache. Still had a lot of fun - thanx very much.

01-Oct-06
Great little walk. Heaps of birds on this sunny morning.
Thanks for the hunt.
T: stubbie holder
L: Post It notes.

The way to the cache seemed to be nice and dry for us, but heaps of mossies at the end though! Great little spot, and cheers for the extra bonus - made the little fella's day! Don't forget to bring a pen for this one(we forgot).

20-May-06
A quick find while working nearby. Very nearby - in those huts! tnlnsl. thanx.

25-Apr-06
Found it just after the first rains of the season. Cache still dry, but us a bit wet.
The kids liberated 12 balls from a grill emptying into a nearby lake that the rains had flushed. Left em there. Some local kid is gonna score!
Great to see a cache in this part of Perth. Thanx.

26-Sep-05
Wow, this place gets busy on a longweekend! I half expected to que up to sign the log but not so. Chatted to the hotel guests for a while, then said our goodbyes. TFNH

10-Sep-05
Found with the help of other related cache hunters. Plenty of kids on hand to do the searching! Great walk - took heaps of photos of flowering plants (Calothamnus, Hakea, Melaleuca). Thanks.

01-Sep-05
Finally found using locations from previous logs. Great garden. Beatiful first day of spring.
Cheers.

30-Aug-05
Finally found after gpsr settled down.
We really do have a great river flowing thru our city!
TNLNSL
Cheers

14-Jul-05
Always wanted to get out to this point from seeing it on a map. There was no wind, plenty of swell with the surface glassy. Why am i geocaching instead of surfing?? Finally found it by noticing the trampled vegetation. (Tetragonia decumbens - an exotic from Sth Afr)
Went home, grabbed wetsuit, surfboard....
Thanks - kids loved it.

10-Jul-05
A quick find to let kids stretch legs. The Menzies Banksias were in full flower - very nice. Mrs Rhombus stayed in car while we donated blood to the mozzies!!
Cheers

07-Jul-05
What a nice little walk. Took a mate who was very impressed with the whole idea. Swatted a few mozzies, found the cache and left a lanyard. Took teaspoon.
Cheers.

06-Jun-05
Went searching with Seekers77 and the Dingoes. Found it late morning before a visit to the top. Had a picnic lunch further down the brook - My 2 kids and 1 of Dingoes fell in the water. Rain held off till the arvo! Cheers for the hunt.
