I'm in Melbourne for a conference and this is basically at the front of my hotel. Cool tram!

Didn't really appreciate how stupidly hot it was going to get so quickly today. Either way, this was the first of the caches for the day, and I was surprised how high up it actually was. Well hidden, cool tree!TFTC Green Gecko family

Far out brussell sprout, it was H-O-T today. I had intended to grab all of these caches, but the heat, the mozzies, and the general lack of preplanning got the better of me. I shall return for the rest! Thanks for this, not so tiny, not hard to find, cool cache. Operation tick Fang off is one step closer to being complete.

Cache replaced, carry on!

Wahoo yay yay! This one has been on my radar since the day it was placed. And back then, I was nowhere near qualified. Fast forward to a few months back, and I had found myself just one DTT combination short. That combination was targeted today, a lovely tree climb in Strathpine, and now I am finally over the line. I love these challenges because they remind me of the huge variety of caches I've tried and loved. Thanks for the caching goodness, P'![oz_bean_counter](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=oz_bean_counter) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8J4F4/48072 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have filled 250 DT cells among all DT grids. (required: 250)I have the follwing number of cells per DT grid73 caches with type: Traditional Cache59 caches with type: Multi-cache6 caches with type: [Event Cache, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event Cache, Giga-Event Cache, Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration]38 caches with type: [Virtual Cache, Webcam Cache, Earthcache, Locationless (Reverse) Cache]74 caches with type: [Unknown Cache, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo Cache]

Mount Barney, you have been conquered! No lie, Barney is a hard hard slog. And made even harder by doing it with an overnight pack. We grunted, and groaned, and huffed and puffed, and complained, and held back tears, and supported each other - and eventually, we all made it. Exhausted but proud we set up our tents, refilled our water supplies, and enjoyed nature. In the morning, it was time to conquer the East peak, with a few minor detours of course! Turns out there isn't a single track up there, it's more like "choose your own adventure", and so we did. It was rock hopping almost the whole way. There are places that I previously would have turned around if doing it solo, and I'm so glad I didn't.The trip down was hell, and blisters made it worse. Again, perfect support from friends gets you there in the end. Thanks for a great weekend, and for a great cache!

Operation "tick-Fang-off" continues today. A sunset walk was needed to blow out the cobwebs from a long day at work. I really wish I had worn my wellies rather than my thongs, but such is life. It was really peaceful out here, and with the sun setting, beautiful too. Thanks for an easy one, Fang.

Operation tick Fang off is underway. This cache had slipped past my radar, but is on my morning walk route and this morning was the day. Classic hide. Thanks for hours of joy Fang! Now for the rest...

Operation tick-Fang-off underway. Never fear, I'm not trying to actually tick you off, just your caches. And in particular, your challenge caches, which are WAY too close to home, and staring at me as unfound on my map. The trip down south has really helped me here, as I've picked up a few more old virtuals that I really enjoyed, including Lane Cove and Plinth. Years ago when I signed this log, I never imagined I'd qualify. I also never thought I'd grab oldies on a driving holiday to Sydney with the kids.[oz_bean_counter](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=oz_bean_counter) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC893VK/43296 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did."Virtual score 250" Qualifying 257 / 250, PASSED"Virtual score 250"22 years: 2009-12-12 GC86B3 - Ku-ta views (2002-08-30)7 years: 2019-12-18 GC7B6N4 - A Story about a Bridge (2017-10-15)6 years: 2019-12-27 GC7B6NR - Junkie's closest to home, favourite spot (2018-07-15)5 years: 2019-12-31 GC88ZN3 - Bonsai House (2019-11-02)7 years: 2020-01-03 GC7B8P9 - Charles Kingsford Smith Memorial (2017-10-14)6 years: 2020-01-29 GC7B7VP - B R I S B A N E (2018-08-23)5 years: 2020-02-29 GC88YVJ - The Pitch Drop Experiment - Virtual Reward 2.0 (2019-06-04)7 years: 2020-03-07 GC7B9ZQ - Come Roam Around Roma (2017-09-20)5 years: 2020-07-18 GC892WA - Hinterland Highlight Virtual (2019-06-16)7 years: 2020-08-14 GC7B79M - O'Reillys Forest Walk (2017-11-01)5 years: 2020-09-30 GC892AY - Surfers Paradise - Virtual Rewards 2.0 (2019-07-09)6 years: 2020-10-27 GC7B89E - "QUEENSLANDER Queenslander" (2018-05-12)20 years: 2021-03-13 GCKDN6 - Double Island Point (2004-08-29)5 years: 2021-04-18 GC891CT - Tallow's Sand (2019-11-21)5 years: 2021-12-04 GC88ZYM - Fort Bribie (2019-09-14)7 years: 2022-04-29 GC7B7WR - Cairns Esplanade Lagoon - Virtual Reward (2017-08-27)5 years: 2022-04-29 GC891WY - Istiompax Indica (2019-09-26)2 years: 2022-07-20 GC9P75A - Clocks of the QVB (2022-03-24)5 years: 2022-12-20 GC88ZFP - Canberra's Carillion (2019-06-04)4 years: 2022-12-20 GC891XG - We Will Remember (VR 2.0) (2020-09-29)2 years: 2022-12-20 GC9P5T3 - Australian Citizenship - Virtual Reward 3.0 (2022-08-09)2 years: 2022-12-20 GC9P84D - Urban Street Art (2022-03-01)3 years: 2022-12-20 GC89140 - International Flag Display (2021-12-30)3 years: 2022-12-20 GC892H8 - AOTY - Connect & Collect (2021-12-29)22 years: 2022-12-24 GC9534 - Animal Antics (2002-09-30)2 years: 2022-12-24 GC9P7WB - High Court of Australia (2022-03-01)5 years: 2022-12-24 GC88YRJ - ACT Airport (2019-06-05)20 years: 2023-05-23 GCJFY5 - Writers of Renown (2004-05-20)4 years: 2023-06-04 GC890N0 - Toowoomba Sundial (2020-06-27)6 years: 2024-09-24 GC7B831 - Hornby Lighthouse (2018-07-07)24 years: 2024-09-25 GC3E - Lane Cove (2000-05-18)20 years: 2024-09-25 GCJ5E5 - Plinth (2004-04-11)3 years: 2024-09-29 GC88YW5 - The Sydney Opera House (2021-03-02)Qualifying 257 / 250, PASSEDMany thanks for years of fun, Fang.

Awesome earth cache and awesome day out with the kids. Loved every minute. Answers sent to the CO.

Absolutely loved this cache and this place! The girls and I had a great time. Can't wait to visit again.FP well deserved.TFTC Darksidedan

What an amazing place!!! So glad we came here. Tried to avoid the crowds in the city and give the kids a break from all the activity. We managed to come at the same time as a school tour, doh! Still a great visit.

The oldest geocache in Australia, pretty cool to be able to tick this one off the bucket list! We were graced with a python to keep watch over us as we got closer to GZ. Have messaged through the answers. Thanks for a great experience, only wish I came earlier when there was an actual cache to see!

We came to escape the crowds in the city and weren't disappointed - loved the tunnel and the old convict ruins. What a miserable life they must have had!

Very cool place to visit - thanks for taking us here!

24-Sep-24
What a super cool place! We walked here and loved Camp Cove Bay, and Lady Bay, and the views just kept getting better.

Pity this beach was closed, because it's an amazing place! Great views from here, but nicely tucked away and quiet.

Nice quick find here while we were checking out the lighthouse and enjoying the views Smile

23-Sep-24
A great day on the beach with the kids. We did our best to capture the answers, but we were distracted by WHALES in the distance. Yes, WHALES. What a beautiful place to be. We were washed out by a wave and lost our glasses - which triggered an emergency visit to a local optometrist and a 1k "bonus tax" to our holiday. Still didn't dampen our high spirits.

A beautiful little walk with the kids while we were waiting for the EV to charge. Cool piece of nature here.

22-Sep-24
Cool cache in a lovely area! This one didn't give me any trouble, but I remember a time when I first started geocaching where it definitely would have! My long nails didn't make this easy for me.TFTC

This is such a cool place to visit. While we were here, two groups of whales came by - both mothers with calves. It was great to watch them frolic, and they were in no hurry to get to wherever they were going. Just stunning.Answers have been sent to the CO.TFTC brad!

I've driven past this cache WAY WAY too many times. WAY too many times. Today was the day to stop procrastinating and just make the find. Thankfully it was fairly easy. TFTC cslyoda, all good here.

Out and about today chasing old caches - and had to add this one to the list! The last cache for the day, but well worth it. TFTC brummy - hope you're looking down on us enjoying your caches, and smiling.

This old cache has been on my to-do list for way way too long! Thankfully today I was going to be in the area again, so headed out to find it. Except, I nearly didn't find it! You need to look really really well. It isn't there. And it is no longer its namesake.RIP Brummy - I hope this cache lives on in your memory.;

Stopped off here on the way to another cache. Great size prize here! Lovely place for a late morning walk. TFTCF 5Meerkats.

Whyyyyyyyy did you do that to us! After THAT, I won't need a second coffee. Great place to come for a view, you can see the city and coast in the distant background. TFTC Ozibags.

THE cache focus of today. Dammit, you were a bugger to solve. The only thing harder than solving this cache, is lining up the calendar of working adults to find a mutually available time to grab it. That took more than 12 months! But alas, it is now in the bag, and onwards and upwards we continue to the bigger prize. TFTC keepingupwith

Out in this general area today, looking for old caches and difficult puzzle caches, and this was on the path so we nabbed it. Thanks Caspian JVC, great spot for a cache!
