Not looking for this cache, was here for other reasons but saw this and logged it.

Doesn't really have the same effect missing the hand. This is the second time the hand has gone (been eaten) so I'm archiving it to free up the space for someone else.

In pretty good shape for 5 years, but no longer attached to the tree and the area has a lot more black berries from when I originally made the hide. I've archived this spot but I still have Aylmer so he just may turn up again one day.

This was an awesome and very fun cache to do, and so great to have a night cache so close to home. Took one of the kids for company and we had a great time following the reflectors. There was one slight hiccup where there seemed to be a break in the reflectors and I ended up finding one on the ground, I did a mini tree climb and returned it to hopefully a similar spot to where it came from. Thanks Aquilus1, fav point from me.

This was another cool little hide, probably gives me ideas for the one I didn't find, but there were muggles about on the way back so I'll look for that one another day. Fav point for effortThanks Aquilus1

I love this little section of Tuggeranong, fantastic views. Usually I'm on my bike, but today I went for a stroll to find these caches. After some fairly uninspiring power trails around these parts this was a very fun mini trail. This was easily found and my favorite. Fav point from me.Thanks Aquilus1

unfortunately this was a no-findy for me Sad

Spotted the likely spot on the short walk up to this and for a second I thought you might have gone to the trouble of planting that tree lol. This was another really cool hide to find, and one that has already been taken as a home by a rather larger spider who didn't like me reaching inside. Fav point from meThanks Aquilus1

I wish I had found this so I could give this place a favorite point, but alas, when I downloaded this to my phone, it didn't download the pics, and with no reception I couldn't look at the spoiler pic Sad

Starting to think God doesn't want me to log Tankengine caches. After striking out with Rocky Raceway I was very happy when this was a quick find, but then it took me about 10mins to get the log paper out of the container, and having to dig it out with my pencil it broke my pencil, then my pen wouldn't work, so I had to use a rock to sharpen the pencil ahhh!! Anyway, I logged it of sorts. This is a really magical place so a favorite point from me, unfortunately I then tried to head back to the track from here instead of retracing my steps and had the worst bush bash experience ever Sad Thanks tankengine

Found during a morning hike along the west back fire trail. Thanks

Found during an early walk along the west bank fire trail - quick and easy find, thanks

Almost died doing this as I was looking at my phone and nearly stepped on a brown snake!Once at GZ I looked at the obvious hiding spot and it was easily found. I made sure I had a pencil with me today but it really struggled on the waxy paper, see photo. Thanks for the cache Tankengine

Found on an early morning paddle on the lake, was very glad I didnt have to standup to locate the container because I probably would have ended up in the water. This was a very cool and unusual hide, and despite the sliminess was happy to find the container easy to open and the logbook in good condition and easy to sign. Thanks for the cache Strangtrousers, fav point from me

Found on an early morning hike to the top of Mt Wanniassa. As I planned for the hike, and not the geocache, I didnt have a pen so I wont log as found but I can report the cache is in good condition. Spotted this familiar container from a mile away. Thanks Tankengine

Found lying on the ground in an open place, placed it a bit higher because it seemed where it probably was meant to be placed.

Found while waiting for an appointment at the nearby shops

Contrary to news reports I'm not dead, but I have been out of the game for a while. What better way to get back out there then to try out my new pre-Christmas Stand Up Paddle Board.

Setting out from Ngadyung Beach, it was a pleasant paddle out to the first island. I've definitely been out of the game for a while because it took me quite a while to find the cache, but once I was looking in the correct area spotted it quickly.

This was a very fun cache to get back into the swing on, and well worth a fav point.

Thanks Tankengine!

After finding Southern Shores I set out to the second island on my list. Did a full circle of the island to find a decent landing spot, and once on dry land this was a much quicker cache to find.

From here it was paddling with the wind back to Ngadyung Beach.

Thanks Tankengine.

The log book for this was in a tricky spot so I was hoping people were just having issues with that, but alas the entire cache is gone Sad

This was a large unique construction so unfortunately I will have to archive. There no sign of vandalism so I expect someone stole it for a Halloween decoration.

Thanks to all that enjoyed this cache

A nice easter stroll around the cemetery with my eldest and learning some of Canberra's history. Someone was a bit overzealous with a candle which required a visit from the fire brigade offered a bit of extra excitement. After completing the AL the physical cache was located easily, although I dont think the cockatoos appreciated me being there.

Thanks for the cache Tankengine, fav point added

Finally got around to fixing this up, turns out the tree that this was placed in fell down. In a slightly more exposed spot now but should be safe from falling trees.

Container has been replaced with a simple sistema container at ground level

I was part of the group walking to Gingera summit so I was there when this was placed. This was my second time doing this walk. Its a bit of a rough drive to get to the trail head but its well worth the effort to get out here. Thanks Tankengine for placing this, hopefully it will encourage more to do this walk.

Found on the way back from Booroomba Rocks, if it wasn't for the rain and snow this would be a great place to sunbake. Took a while to find as a former finder insisted it was in a crack. Cache eventually found in good condition. Thanks Tankengine

Longer than originally planned hike from the car park to here, and then a quick search was conducted by the group to find this to start the official walk. Cache was found in good condition. Thanks Tankengine

I haven't been very active lately and as it turns out, this is my first cache of 2021. Thanks for organising 2 Leg Drive, it was great to get out again with the geocaching community. And of course, thanks for the chocolate, chips and lucky door prize.

I stayed with the small group doing the walk, so was good to get back out in Namadgi after the fires. I've visited Booroomba Rocks many times, but never actually found any of the caches there, so managed to pick up a few extra smileys to add to my attended log. Booroomba Rocks was as spectacular as ever, but with the strong winds and snow, it made for a memorable visit.

Thanks again.

I've been to Booroomba Rocks many times, but never ventured up to this lookout. Great to finally visit this spot and cache was found by the group after a long search. It was while finding this that the snow started coming down so it was time to return to basecamp.

This took quite a while to find, even with a group of us, if it wasn't for a hint from a previous finder before the walk we might still be looking for it. This is a spot i've always admired on my many walks to Booroomba rocks, I wonder if it was ever used as a shelter. Thanks Tankengine

The original cache is gone and the CO is no longer active. This was originally a field puzzle which has since been replaced by a throw down mint tin. Request this cache be archived
