We searched and searched fruitlessly for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Saw this was still unfound with a couple notable people failing at it. Anyhow I came here to give it a fair crack. I'm glad I did as with the nice hint I was able to locate the hide within a reasonable amount of time. After doing the necessaries, I've hidden it back where it belongs.
Then I totally slacked off logging the find until the emails started rolling in later. Bugger I sent a message to Jackscruff to discuss the issue and we settled on a joint FTF as she did log it first online and I logged the physical cache first.
