Logs for JoggIn
20-Nov-24
On an outdoor session with a group of preschoolers, trekking to the waterfall. On first look, the seat seemed impossible to get to, as parts of the bank have obviously slipped away, and the rocks at the bottom were sharp and mossy and slick. Soon, the adventurous in the group found a route across the stream and up a rocky gulch, so the cache search was on.A quick find and a fascinating diversion for the brave wee explorers.Thank you for the cache and bringing us to this gorgeous place. Cache was safe and log was damp but quite usable. Deserves a Favourite due to the surroundings and the sense of achievement finding it.

Out exploring the park and realised there was a geocache nearby. Straightforward find. Cache damp but safe. Thanks for the placement.

For once, we weren't in a rush or trying to meet a deadline, so gave ourselves time to search for this cache. Geohubby made it a straight forward find, though it is clever and well disguised and was not quite where my GPS indicated. All safe and dry. Thanks for the placement, and bringing us here.

Once the muggles departed, we could look around. Cache wasn't where we supposed it to be, but in reading the description and hint again, it was soon in hand. Very clever. There were lots of loose log pages, and in my haste I signed next to a 2022 entry. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here. A footnote :- they don't appear to know to pick up their dog poo round here. Watch where you step.

Found easily after a delightful wander beside the lagoon. Log paper is crumpled, but safe and dry. Thanks for the placement and bringing us to this spot.
A straight forward find. Good hint. Log paper wet, but waterproof, so pen worked. Thanks for the placement and bringing us here.

Revisited the hide with granddaughter (JoggIn jnr2) and a group of Playcentre youngsters. They were thrilled to find the cache and thought it very cool. Not much bird life - a pair of paradise ducks and a plover. Log safe and dry. Many thanks for the placement.

After a couple of unsuccessful visits, I am pleased to have this one in the bag.Muggles and short-attention-span grandchildren have thwarted previous attempts, but my son found the sneaky hiding place while I was playing for a dance in the hall - he did make me find it for myself, though.I had had my hand on it several times without twigging (apologies !).All safe and dry. Many thanks for the placement.

Visiting relations and realised this cache was a stone's throw from the house, so brought them along to introduce them to geocaching. They were thrilled to actually find one. All safe and dry. Thanks for the placement.
Staying on campus for a week long dancing school, and found this cache during my exploring of the grounds. Cache was on the ground, out of direct view, so I am not sure where it came from. Replaced where found. All safe and dry. Greetings from across the ditch.

A quick find in a logical spot, in a picturesque valley. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find thanks to the hint. Setting up at Boom Rock to play for a wedding tonight, so paused to pick up a cache or two. Took a while to extract the log as I didn't have my full geocaching swag on hand, but found a useful "tool" in the undergrowth. The outer bag is too small for the cannister and has been adopted by a family of slugs. Harmless but ugghh. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find.Log paper dry, but sodden paper in the cache.A very cute Hall. Thanks for bringing us here.

Geohubby and grandson (JoggIn jnr) went in to find this one. Didn't take them long. Note: the handle is about to come off the cache, so needs repair. Nevertheless this is worth a Fav.Thanks for the cache and the fun in finding it.
A DNF for us today. Chased off by a local on a ride-on mower who wanted to mow that particular piece of grass at that exact time. We will be back. TFTC.
Cache found with grandson (JoggIn jnr) and granddaughter (JoggIn jnr jnr) while exploring the paths and boardwalks. Note : more than 5 paces, and there are 2 caches with log books - signed both of them. Thanks for the placement.
Found during an outing with the 2 geograndkids. I sureptiously lowered the cache to GL for JoggIn jnr2 (aged 2) to find. What excitement! Thanks for the placement.

Tracing waterways with grandson, JoggIn jnr. Fascinating. Thanks for the placement and all the work setting it up. A car is definitely helpful.
The water tanks are massive. The cache is where it says it should be though the geotrails are hard to spot. The hint is useful even though the fence post has rotted through at ground level and fallen over. Tracing the water supply with grandson JoggIn jnr.Log book is damp and being a receipt book will absorb moisture. Thanks for the placement and bringing us here.
04-Jan-24
Picked this up with grandson, JoggIn jnr. He proudly made the find. All safe and dry. Thanks for the placement.
Traveling north with grandson (JoggIn Jnr), this was an easy find, just where it was expected to be. All safe here. Thanks for the placement.
Grandson (JoggIn jnr) was in on this one. We nutted it out together, but it took a wee while to crack the case. The area is not very pleasant to work in - watch your footing. Most impressed with the swag. Thanks for the placement.
