A nice easy find just on dusk before dinner.
Always nice to find a cache just in time.
Great spot, love Hobart so much, wish I could move here.

Very windy when we rounded this particular one, but a nice spot nonetheless.
Made the find quickly with the new Geocacher and worked on log removal. Got things signed but really wish we had brought along the log roller that we picked up from the previous cache.

Arrrgh too many dramas this morning, going to have to miss it and pick up my cache somewhere closer.

Nice little find on a Saturday after a bit of a Geocaching hiatus.
Great weather for winter, and a well laid out park. The location for the hide is a good open space, might use it at a future date for kites or boomerangs.

Enjoyed this well planned and straight forward multi.
Ran through the various steps which involved a bit of exercise, which was a good thing on such a nice day.
Picked up a little history here and there, and wrote down all of the clues on the back of the hand as I'd forgotten to bring paper.
Calculations complete, headed over and found the cache within five minutes after checking two likely spots. The clue helped.

Yup, sure enough, made it!
Always great to catch up with all of the familiar faces from the logs.

Good quick find after a bit of a hiatus.
Lots of noise from the football nearby but nobody around in this well selected location.
Mercifully found very quickly after crossing the creek the hard way. Ended up with a lot of farmers friends attached.

Focused on the wrong thing for a while, lifted it up, couldn’t find anything. I was looking in the wrong spot it turns out.
A brief searched yielded results.

Ah yes, the new park. Have been here a few times lately actually, it’s a good one!
A nice straight forward find even though there are a ton of people here at the moment.
Good to see some familiar names on the log.

Another quick find although a small amount of clambering required.
Very fresh smelling container.

Another nice easy find. Might return one day to show a few beginners this cache as well.
Lots of folks still playing soccer and being active in the park.

Came from the wrong side then tried the correct side.
Not a huge fan of the close proximity to the backs of houses, but a great little hide and awesome camo with plenty of work put in.
Thankfully no residents raised eyebrows.

Knew I would return one day and finish this. Turns out it was 4 years later and the place has changed a tiny bit, but not too much.
Started the calculations again from scratch, and was a bit more careful this time. The trails around the stones are all like little cachers trails.
Had one or two hiccups, but eventually got the right co-ordinates and ended up with a surprising but nice and easy find.
Worthy of a favourite for the view. What a great place to be buried.

Returned today after 4 or 5 years and finally made the find.
This time, a few photos from previous finders gave a bit of an idea, and after about 15 minutes of searching and dodging muggles, there was an eventual "aha!" moment, followed by a "oh, no, that's not it", followed by another "oh, actually, that IS it!"
Great place to visit on Anzac Day. Checked out the ramparts and the submarine story nearby. Also walked through what looks like a new memorial path before giving a stranded visitor a lift back to Manly.

Always great to fill in time while you’re waiting for something.
Ducked by here quickly during peak hour after work to grab this instead of waiting around in one spot.
Was in basically the first place I looked. Seasoned cacher indeed
Have been to this spot for a few different things in the past.

Up before sunrise on the last day at the red centre before heading back.
On the agenda was the Valley of the Winds walk. Wanted to ensure it was done before things got too hot and they close the trail.
Had it all completed by around 9AM, at which point a passing tour guide mentioned that nobody seems to get up early enough to do it before that time, but it is a good idea.
Amazing geology and an interesting array of rock. Took some photos from the viewing area before leaving the red centre for good.
Have mailed CO with the answers.

An amazing spot towards the half way point on the rim walk.
Headed down and checked out the rock, felt the water and marveled at the unique nature of this location. Not much water anywhere else nearby, and yet it accumulates and stays here. It is not hard to see why this is such an important location for local biodiversity.
Have mailed the cache owner with the answers.

Up well before sunrise to start and complete the rim walk, complete with the extra lookout and the Garden of Eden.
A tough one to begin with, but once you ease into the hike, it is mostly flat or downhill, and some great sheer views across the canyon as you go.
Got vertigo at a few different points, but overall found the hike to be manageable, with plenty of caches to find along the way.
Did the short Kathleen Springs walk after completing the rim walk, and then headed back towards Uluru.
Have mailed the owner with the answers.

The day was heating up and I was already fairly tired after all of the recent hiking, so I was hoping for a quick find.
Came up here after doing many of the EarthCaches nearby. Had to read a number of logs and look at pictures before getting a better idea of where it might be. Searched for about 15 minutes before I saw a good spot, and sure enough, there it was.
The GPS was a bit off. Very happy to have found this one, it would have been a pain if I hadn't managed to find it, I probably would have searched for an hour in the heat.
Great walk, found some wonderful spots for pictures over the canyon on the return to the trail head.

Returned from Kings Canyon and decided to do Walpa Gorge during sunset.
Still very hot and an absolute ton of flies around here, but still an enjoyable walk and a nice geological excursion. The conglomerate rock at Kata Tjuta is very different to Uluru and Kings Canyon, it is interesting that areas so close can be so different.
Got some great photos as the sun was setting. The landscape very closely resembles that of Mars.

Arrived here still fairly early in the morning after a start before sunrise.
Great part of the rim walk, with plenty to look at. Did not know about Rock Ripples, so managed to learn something new and interesting while at this cache.
Stopped for a photo or two before proceeding with the rest of the rim walk, which was fantastic.

Came out here first thing in the morning, just before sunrise. The important thing was to get the most difficult parts of the hike done prior to the sun coming out.
Really enjoyed exploring all of Kings Canyon and the rim walk. Some amazing geological conditions exist here, and it is great to learn something new.
Have mailed the owner with the relevant answers.

A very interesting location indeed.
Came out here on the way to Kings Canyon. Ended up filling fuel on the way out and having food on both the way out and back. Although there is no cell reception, was able to make some crucial calls using the pay phone... been a while since I've used one of those.
Great to meet the folks working here, a number of which seem to be in Australia for the first time and working regionally. Talk about baptism of fire. Wonderful country humour too.
Worthy of a favourite point, always great to venture out somewhere nice and remote like this.
Have mailed the owners with the answers to the questions.

Continuing the journey towards Kings Canyon, stopped the car and ran across in the heat to find this one.
Offline caches helped and I was able to find the container within 10 minutes, which is handy because I was getting sunburned the entire time.
Nice view from here, and a great photo down the deserted road as well.

Still on the way to Kings Canyon. Stopped and did this one as a merciful park and grab with some shade thrown in, which was great.
Had an idea of roughly where to look and luckily had the cache within a few minutes of searching.
The rest stop was completely abandoned and remote when I came through, but had some folks staying there on the way back. I imagine it is much busier in winter when the weather is more forgiving.

One of the reasons why I like Geocaching so much is because I find things that other people miss. Everyone else just stops at the rest stop, and nobody bothers to climb this hill.
Amazing view up at the top of this hill looking over the dry salt bed made it worth the heat and the effort.
Took about 5 minutes for the cache find with the offline cache on the phone jumping around a bit.

A fairly straight forward find, although very hot.
On the way in, hit a lot of spiky plants that stick to your socks. On the way out, noticed a great number of desert flowers.
The actual find was straight forward as the offline GPS on the phone was pretty accurate.
A few kilometres along the road, came across an enormous vulture preying on a dead kangaroo on the road. Was quite a sight to see and makes me wish I was faster with my camera.

Considering the limited number of caches around here, I was not going to pass through without stopping to find this one.
Bad time of the day to do it though, and there was no way the car was going off road.
Haphazardly started walking off the road and made my way across a dry creek bed, through a bunch of trees and bushes that might contain snakes, and then to the vicinity of the cache. Noticed the rocky ridges nearby, which define the area like a mini canyon.
Walked around in circles for a while, worried that I might get lost and be in a great deal of strife, but eventually made the find, signed, and got back out of the heat.
Would not last long out here without a ton of water and food. Even then you could die of heat exhaustion - Scary!

On the way to Kings Canyon, decided to stop for each cache along the way.
Took a few minutes in the heat to figure out which way to go, and took a moment to climb in the sand and make the find. Not too difficult to find and a great view from here.

Finally made the trip to Uluru, which was fantastic.
On this particular day, started at 8AM and did the complete walk around Uluru. Challenging and very hot towards the end but quite rewarding and gives you a true appreciation of the size of the rock, its importance to the local indigenous people (Both now and in the past) and a better geological understanding.
Some amazing photo opportunities in different areas as well, mainly to do with weathering from different sources.
Stopped at the GZ location as well to take a few photos. Have mailed CO with the answers.

Arrival day for Uluru. Headed up here in the afternoon for the first proper view of Uluru.
Took a while to search and find in the heat, but pretty much knew what I would be looking for.

Great find on some great trails. Headed down from the west head lookout. Could not go direct to Great Mackarel as the trail was closed, so went via Resolute Beach. Quite a walk, so stopped for lunch along the way.
Finally arrived, I think almost immediately after another set of cachers had just found it... what are the chances?
Had to search for a while but eventually found it with a good helping of camo on top. Coordinates and hint are accurate.
Looking forward to checking out the beach.

What a great location and a great cache!
Came out here today for the beginning of a huge day of hiking and discovery. Admired the view which is indeed easily one of the best in Sydney. Might come back some time for night photography.
Although it was hot, made the way down to the battery, which is easy going down but rather tough coming back up. Explored the pillboxes and both guns which were really interesting. Have not found many before that you can get right into like this. Snuck into the personnel quarters too which was fascinating.
The hike back up was very tough but do-able.
Had no trouble getting all of the clues, the instructions are straight forward, and have mailed the CO and gotten the required response.
Great idea with the e-mail address, very unique. Worthy of a favourite point for that, the location and the view when I have one.

Hooray, another find!
On my way in, almost at sunset, searched for 15 minutes and made the find. Not where I expected it to be, but I must say that the coordinates are spot on and that made it a lot easier. Didn’t expect to find it at all actually.
In the area downhill from the path, saw a massive black snake slither away into the brush. Have never seen one so big before - It was huge!

Wow this one hasn’t been found for a while...
Great little trail on sunset without too many mozzies.
Followed the coordinates and found GZ quite easily. There is a note from the last person saying that the original container has been replaced due to council rules. Cache is in good order though and the replacement is nice enough.

A fun find with Deep, Ris and Contact!
Wandered down from work, found the general spot (Haven't actually been to this particular area before) and formed the mob.
Took ages with different accuracy figures, but eventually got the co-ordinates revealed.
Headed off as a group to GZ and managed to make the find. A very clever one I must say, excellent cache construction.

A nice quick find during the final day in Hobart prior to flying back.
Took a drive up to the top and clambered around various sets of rocks and the trig station, took photos of the amazing view before the clouds covered it all over.
Lots of muggles but still an easy find in a good logical location. Thank goodness the CO chose not to hide it under a rock... otherwise I would have been here all day in the freezing cold.

Nice and straight forward after a very long drive to Cockle Creek.
Rain for a lot of the drive, but nothing too heavy. Picked this one up while waiting to start the trail and in the process, discovered my southernmost cache! Woohoo!
Went for a swim in the ice cold water a bit later, which was refreshing. The bay near here is very shallow for quite a way out.
Headed off for Lion Rock shortly afterwards.

A great spot at the southern end of the world with some great information boards and details about the significance of this location.
Took a few photos and went for a bit of a search, but due to the cold weather, the impending sunset and general exhaustion, decided to call off the search after about ten minutes.
Almost certainly still there, just didn't have the time to search fully today. Amazing spot, I can imagine a lot of whales would have been spotted from this point.

Just fantastic. Came by on an unusually warm night and checked out the view from the memorial.
Could see the memorial, eternal flame, bridge, city, stars and the P&O Cruise Ship, along with a fisherman in the distance on a pier. This is a wonderful part of the world.
Quick find at GZ, and a great hide. Some campervans nearby staying for the night. Can't blame them, this is the best spot. Worthy of a favourite point when I have one.

Clever little hide. Lots of muggles so rather tricky on the return but managed okay.
Great to see lots of familiar Sydney names in the log too.

Came here at night after the rain eased a little. Enjoyable little walk down, very few muggles. The view from the cenotaph is amazing, even if overcast.
Very quiet on the dock. Had a careful look around but could not find in the dark. Even descended the ladder a bit to have more of a look but without sunlight it just wasn't going to happen and I was at risk of falling in.

Had a quick look around late in the evening but couldn't find anything, although there were plenty of possibilities and possible locations.
Nice spot to sit, and plenty of things to look at, but felt fairly conspicuous.
Was certain it was one particular thing, but that didn't budge at all, so eventually headed off.
Great spot though!

Just awesome, loved this one, allocating a favorite I liked it so much.
Came for a walk from the bottom of the cliff, could not find an easy way up, especially after checking the map. The beach looks great though, especially the shallow bit.
Back tracked and went up via the trail, much more luck this time and a great nature trail, with fake blackberries, raspberries, butterflies, lizards, lots of finches and beautiful white flowers.
Made an easy find after a few spikes from lantana and checked out the view of the boneyard. Great photos and some vertigo but a really great spot for a picture and a wonderful view both north and south. Rock formations here are a real dream for a photographer or geologist.

Nice little day trip, had a quick look but what I thought was the spot had people there. Went for a walk and checked it out on the way back, still no luck, but didn't really check for very long, and after reading the description later, realized that I was definitely in the wrong spot.
Will come again some day and check properly.
